REFLECTIONS BY JILL for February 6, 2007

From Jill Berry, for About.com

Okay, on to Clint and Viki. Yes, yes, my favorite topic. Clint is so transparent. He tells Viki he’s been back in Llanview for a year and this is the first time she’s invited him over for a drink. He practically lives there; does he need an engraved invitation? And Viki made me laugh when Clint was going on and on about her sweeping her feelings under the rug and she got that “I’ve got your number” grin on her face and said, “This isn’t about me ignoring my feelings, this is about me ignoring you.” Hey, you can’t put anything over on Viki. And I guess Clint doesn’t get enough attention from Dorian, or he needs more than the average man. Why else then, when Viki told him that there couldn’t be anything between them as long as he was involved with Dorian, would he give her that totally stupid remark and say, “I see Dorian occasionally because she seems to like spending time with me.” WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? That might just qualify as the dumbest, most egotistical thing he has said yet. Oh Lordy, he does deserve Dorian! He did notice that Viki took off her wedding rings. And what was the deal with that comment he made when he said that when she got her heart transplant there wasn’t room for him. Hey Clint, she was still mourning Ben and supposedly got his heart, not to mention the fact that you had already been with Dallas for years. Actually, the only smart thing out of Clint’s mouth was when he and Viki were discussing Jessica and he wondered why Antonio is being so nice to Nash.

So Clint and Viki are going to date. Okay, first Viki says they can’t be involved while he’s involved with Dorian and now she agrees to a date. No comment! Who is writing for the character of Viki these days?

And should Clint be giving Nash advice about romance? I know he’s protecting Jessica, but when he told Nash that he should let his feelings for her go and he’d be better for it, did he really believe that?

And speaking of Jessica. She’s not going to be able to keep her feelings bottled up much longer. She has already admitted to Nash that she has feelings for him and that little scene where she came home alone, found Nash asleep on her couch and fantasized about lying down with him was a pretty good sign to her that she was heading over the edge. Frankly, I wish that scene had been real. I have wanted Jessica and Nash together for a long time and I hope it works out without too many people getting hurt. I loved the scene where they were outside looking at the stars like Nash used to do with Tess. At least Nash is not hiding his feelings and he knows that it’s just a matter of time before Jessica has to give in to hers.

I have to say that one person I am really enjoying watching is Todd. He knows he didn’t kill Spencer (we hope) and he’s so happy that someone did it that he can’t contain himself. I’ve never seen so many people so happy to see someone dead. I had a good laugh when Todd showed up at the hospital and Bo told him that Spencer had been killed and he just stood there smiling and said, “No fooling? Who did it?" Hey, if anyone deserves to celebrate Spencer’s demise it’s Todd Manning.

I thought it was cool of Todd not to go after Cole in the hospital when Cole came up to him and told him he was glad that the Spencer ordeal was over for his family. I was glad that Todd shook the hand that Cole offered, even if he only did it for Starr.

And I died laughing when Antonio found out that Todd hadn’t signed in when he claims to have gone to see Addie at St. Ann’s and he told Antonio that no one was at the desk when he arrived. His explanation was simple when he told Antonio, “Hey, even the nuns gotta pee.”

Hey, didn’t Blair recover quickly when she hopped out of bed, got dressed up and did her hair and turned up at St. Ann’s. Actually, her devotion to her mom is very nice and I just felt a little bit sorry for Todd when she once again refused to be with him. I felt his pain when he kissed her and she still walked away from him.

And I heard that Cristian will be arrested but another fire will be set while he’s in jail, so what will they do next to mess up his life? And it is so obvious that Vincent wants to get close to Natalie. His bogus talk with Cristian at Rodie’s proved that when he told Cristian that he wanted to give him a chance because Natalie said he couldn’t have set the fires and he trusts her. Cristian could see right through him and let him know that he knows Vincent’s motive is to get close to Natalie, and nothing else.
