Echo is already on the outskirts of Rex’s trust, and if she had any sense at all, she would focus her energy on trying to solidify her place in Rex’s life. The truth about his father is going to leave him more in need of a solid shoulder to lean on, and since SHE is his real mother, her focus should be on being the best one she can be. She’s apparently lost sight of the fact that she’s going to be further alienated when Rex finds out that she knew the truth all along.
Family Affairs: Pt. 2-Baby Daddy Madness
The impending trauma associated with the paternity test result switching is going to make a bigger mess of things. It’s despicable how Clint decided to play God and tampered with more than just a few lab results…he tampered with their LIVES! Jessica is living with a volatile mental illness that can erupt with the slightest of triggers, and it would be safe to say that discovering that her son may still indeed be Ford’s baby is more than just a slight trigger. Is there any form of “love” that can excuse such a vicious violation of human rights?
And then there’s Natalie and John. When this comes out, there’s the possibility that John will leave her. Not that he should dare to act so sanctimoniously since he has a few deceptive acts listed on his resume, but their relationship should not be determined on anything CLINT or MARTY. Will there ever come a time when someone can have a private affair remain private? If John leaves, there will be another Kaydee soundoff, because Natalie and Brody’s affair took place when they were both technically John and Jessica-free. John facilitated Natalie’s heartbreak by running off, and Jessica was not Jessica, which facilitated Brody’s heartbreak. Does this excuse their choice to consummate a sexual liaison when Brody was still wrapped up with Jess? NO! But she didn’t cheat on John, so he should be stick it out.
Loonview Teen Beat: Affairs of the Heart
Can James and Starr get on with it already? Jeez, even Todd is pushing for them to get together. I stand by what I said previously. Starr needs to take it slow. She needs to resolve Cole so that her new venture with James can have a truthful, solid beginning. Their relationship should be based on them, not residuals of Cole and Starr. The newcomer Michelle seems to be a formidable opponent, but I doubt that it will be enough to stop James and Starr. Besides, Starr could use a little healthy competition to bring her out of her fog.
Cheers and Jeers of the Week:
Cheers, to the writers for keeping up some of last week’s spice regarding the Clint storyline. It’s seemingly continuing to roll forward.
Aubrey, only for being our only temporary speck of hope to disarm Clint.
Dorian and Kelly, for continuing their quest to expose Clint and the Wentworths.
Hm, let’s see? Charlie, Echo, CLINT, and Aubrey. No need to waste the web space explaining why.
Judy97 and Jillian V: Judy, I am with you one hundred percent on Charlie being an audacious twit toward Viki about Echo. He’s too drunk or stupid to realize that Viki has been generous beyond the scope of any female’s capacity to Echo for HIS sake! Rex NEEDS to get to the truth to give Viki a well-deserved way out of the Echo trap.
Jillian, we’ll keep crusading! If we holler loud enough, maybe we’ll get rid of the Loonview rejects in one clean sweep!
Wrapping It Up
Thankfully, our show is beginning to reform. Yes, we still have to endure a few more rounds of SOPS-like absurdity, but at least we know it’s a necessary part of the Loonview Express moving forward to a great climax. I applaud the writers for giving us a good portion of Classic Llanview and removing the threat of moving our viewership to another station during Llanview’s timeslot. You’ve successfully managed to keep us in our seats.
Until next week, readers. God bless.
