Cristian is extremely loyal to his friends and family, and is very much the gentleman when it comes to the women in his life. Has the soul and creativeness of a very gifted artist. Has not let his time spent in prison harden his heart to others.

History of Cristian Vega:

We first see Cristian, portrayed by actor Yorlin Madera from May 1995 to Jan. 1998, as the teenage son of Carlotta Vega. He is later played by David Fumero from June 28 until October 28, 2003. He returned November 5, 2004 to February 14, 2005, and later came back September 1, 2005 to the present. Cristian’s first love interest was Jessica Buchanan. Later was involved with Jennifer Rappaport, but eventually falls in love with Natalie Buchanan. Cristian was presumed dead after he disappeared after his wedding in 2003 to Natalie.

Someone who looks like Cristian with no memory of the past appears in Llanview in 2004. Cris was programmed to kill his brother, Antonio, who is secretly the eldest son and heir of crime lord Manuel Santi. Carlotta is forced to confess she is Manuel’s sister and Antonio is Manuel’s son with Isabelle. The attempt on Antonio’s life fails after the trauma of trying to kill his own brother brings all of Cristian’s memories back. Cristian then kills Tico, Manuel’s other son, and is sent to prison. In prison, Cristian keeps his true identity hidden from his family. Evangeline Williamson, Cristian’s attorney, proves that he was brainwashed when he murdered Tico and has him released from prison in 2005.

Cristian and Evangeline soon fall passionately in love, but their relationship becomes strained due to her friendship with Todd Manning. Thinking Evangeline slept with Todd, Cristian sleeps with Blair Cramer, Todd’s ex-wife. Soon they begin to repair their relationship when Cristian’s loft is filled with poisonous gas, injuring several people. This leaves Evangeline in a coma and an end to their relationship.

While helping Blair search for Todd missing in Chicago, Cristian meets Sarah Roberts. After he begins to have feelings for her, Cristian makes one final visit to Evangeline, who is still in a coma, and comes to the reality that he needs to move on with his life. After his visit, Cristian and Sarah start dating.

In July 2008, Carlo Hesser kidnaps Talia and Sarah, and eventually captures him and his brother Antonio. He forces Cristian and Sarah over a cliff. Cristian survives, and just before they take off from Mendorra, he is shocked to see Sarah, who also survived the dangerous fall.

After returning to Mendorra to help Antonio get Talia away from Carlo, Cristian once again falls into another trap set up by Carlo. Cristian is currently in a Colombia prison, but is being tracked down by John McBain.
