Strongest Points : Cole Thornhart is a strong young man, with a big heart to do the right thing. The pressure of school, and the death of his father, Patrick Thornhart has brought him to make some bad choices in his life. When Cole met Starr things got better for him, as the two of them were falling in love for the first time. Unfortunately both their parents hate each other and don't want them together.

History of Cole Thornhart: Cole Thornhart the son of Marty Saybrooke and Patrick Thornhart, was born in Ireland. They lived there for awhile in secret with the fear of people wanting Patrick killed. Eventually they moved to San Diego where his father died. The loss of his father has been very hard on Cole and he has had a hard time coping.

Shortly after the death of Patrick, Cole and his mother Marty moved back to Llanview, where Cole entered Llanview High School. Cole met Starr Manning at school and was attracted to her, and the two began hanging out a lot more and becoming good friends. Cole was taking steroids to improve his performance on the football team and unfortunately one night, Britney a jealous classmate of Starr, had slipped Cole more steroids, which caused an overdose. The drugs had taken an effect on Cole and he got very angry with Starr after she would not go further with him, sexually that night. He tore up the room they were in and he was later arrested by the police.

Marty showed up at the police station to bail her son out of jail, and was shocked to see Cole was involved with Starr, the daughter of Todd Manning. Cole had found out Todd had raped his mother in college and the two had a bad past. Starr and Cole slowly made their way back to a friendship, and eventually started dating in secret, due to the fact that both their parents did not want them together. Todd attempted to strangle Cole one night, and Starr decided to leave Cole for good to protect him. Currently there is a love triangle between Cole, Starr and Britney, but Cole's heart is still with Starr.
