HAVING IT ALL!, cont.
By Katherine Thurston

"Vogel has something much bigger to look forward to….the birth of her new baby..."

But right now, Vogel has something much bigger to look forward to….the birth of her new baby, and to top it off, a possible New Year’s wedding. Her pregnancy was not by accident, and she explained how she had told her boyfriend Mark (whom she had only been dating for a couple of weeks at that point) that she wanted to try to get pregnant for her 40th birthday, which was just this past month. “He didn’t run!” Vogel exclaimed. “So, we winged it, and it worked right away! I was very lucky, since a lot of my friends are either trying or used in vitro.” Vogel also announced her and her boyfriend Mark are thinking about marrying this coming New Years, and then do a “real ceremony” next Spring after the baby is born so her family doesn’t have to travel twice.

Vogel is still waiting to hear if she is having a boy or a girl, but said if she had a boy, she would want to adopt or foster a girl. “I couldn’t go through life with having a little girl!”

The actress realizes because of her age, it automatically puts her in the high-risk pregnancy category, and is hoping she will not have to go through a cesarean. However, added she is happy with the way everything has turned out so far, and is looking forward to this next stage of her life. She also plans to do some pregnancy modeling once she starts to show a bit more.

Despite Vogel’s painful tragedies she has endured, life really is becoming grand for the actress, and she seems to have it all. “Now I know why I was to leave NY and come out here, so I could meet my wonderful boyfriend, and finally settle down! Which is a feat all in itself! I have to say, I have really enjoyed life. I have no regrets. Like my mom said, I have done more than most do in a lifetime. I had wonderful jobs, traveled all over the world, dated interesting people, have a strong core of friends, learned from tragedies and stayed strong, committed and happy throughout most of my life. I’m glad I settled down later in life, there was too much to learn about myself and others to do it any differently and way too much fun to have! Since I was told I was going to live until 103, I sure do have a lot more to do.!”
