"I kept thinking what a GREAT actor Roger is~~~he can say more with his facial expressions than a lot of actors could say with pages of dialog. I love watching Roger play Todd."

As the November "sweeps" gets under way, there are many behind-the-scenes negotiations taking place with the actors and actresses of One Life to Live.

First up is the casting on two new characters. Actor Murphy Guyer will begin on the show on Tuesday, October 31. Guyer will portray Asa's (Phil Carey) lawyer. And Margo Martindale will play the character of Sybilla, the sister of Delphina, Dorian's favorite psychic. Sybilla, also a psychic, will predict some unusual events at Viki's bridal shower. Martindale will begin on Thursday, November 2.

Also on Wednesday, November 8th, All My Children's Myrtle Fargate (played by Eileen Herlie) will cross over to OLTL when she rushes to Rae's (played by Linda Dano) defense.

Sources says that Laura Koffman, who played Cassie Cramer is ready to get back to work at OLTL. However, a rep for the show stated there are no plans to bring her character back at this time. Koffman, left OLTL last year after being let go during her maternity leave. If she doesn't return to OLTL, Koffman may take a job on another soap instead.

There have been huge rumors spreading recently about Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) and Roger Howarth (Todd) departing from the show. However, both of these rumors have not been exactly correct.  "That rumor is absolutely unfounded and untrue.", quoted Hickland. There is still seven more months before her contract ends, and negotiations at this point are still unclear. Howarth's first "out" clause of his contract doesn't allow the actor to leave until March 2001. At that time, Howarth will need to decide to either leave the show or go ahead and stay until the next "out" clause comes up. Howarth's manager said a lot of Howarth's decision may be based on his negotiations with OLTL, and perhaps the upcoming writers' strike in May. If the Writers Guild of America goes on strike this could effect Howarth's chances of getting auditioned for any primetime show.
