He conveyed 'everything', with his face, in his eyes! This is talent! This is acting. He is extraordinary. He is so charismatic! There isn't a woman that watches OLTL that wouldn't love the opportunity just to be in the same room with Roger. Add to this, the fact that of all the articles I've read about him, this 'villain', it would appear that he is such a 'nice man' that it is hard for the other actors around him to be 'mean' when it is called for in a scene! I love that he is a private person. That he quotes his son Julian's jokes on live TV.! He is as 'real' as they come! I wish him the success and recognition he so richly deserves, in all things! I have been a devoted fan of "Todd Manning" from first moment I saw those hazel eyes... hook, line and sinker! Every time he makes an 'exit' from OLTL, he leaves behind him an empty place, that no one but him, can fill...Is this true? Ask any woman watching! All the best to you Roger Howarth! Speaking for myself, I hope you stay with us forever...but if you can't - I'll 'love' you anyway... just don't forget, to come back, okay? :)" |

He has a strange loyalty to those who has not wronged him and he is fiercely protective of those he cares for. Plus, he is a good-looking guy with glorious hair who wears clothes well! | From RH: "Roger Howarth is amazing, he is a generous performer who has chemistry with almost everyone who's ever been on the show and in a scene with him who has even a small amount of talent. He is enormously talented, brilliantly intelligent, and beautiful. He helps other performers around him shine and look better than with less generous performers or on their own. He can connect with basically anyone in a scene and draw out what talents they have. In scenes on his own, he still shines. He's also not afraid to not look perfect, he does what the role requires, and if it requires Todd end up covered in mud, he'll do it. It's not simply that he brings Todd to life, but he's one of the few performers capable of giving a character enough depth and dimension to appear to give the character a soul. He's an actor who is always wonderful to watch because he's so tremendously good at what he does. He can usually spin dung into stainless steel at the very least, when most other actors would only get spoilt straw out of it. He's been described as "take no prisoners" in his acting style, and it's true." |
