REFLECTIONS BY JILL….Finally, we know the Killing Club maniac is Hayes. I’m thrilled that it’s him. There hasn’t been a bigger creep on the show since the Music Box Killer and it is nice that for once I have gone through a storyline wanting so badly for the killer to be the guy I hate most and I got my wish. Now I want to know who the accomplice is and it better not be Ron Walsh.

I like the way the story evolved, with John figuring out that the killer would be someone on Marcie’s “Loser’s List.” Well, he did have some help from the priest but who cares at this point? I loved watching that computer imaging program turn that face into Hayes’ face. Obviously Hayes isn’t done making trouble since he got hold of Rex and is going to try to force Marcie to kill Rex by threatening that he’ll kill Michael if she doesn’t. Wait until Marcie finds out who Hayes really is? I can’t wait for that.

And were you like me…believing that the woman who came to John really witnessed Natalie’s kidnapping? When she told him she witnessed the kidnapping while she was having tea with Jesus I nearly died laughing. Poor John…he can’t catch a break, can he?

I was also thinking that after this Killing Club thing is over, Rex won’t have one ounce of the bad boy left in him…lol. If he was regretting his old ways before, he’ll be a real true believer after he lives through this ordeal. He probably will never even jaywalk again.

And what about Rex and Adriana? I think they make an interesting couple. I do like Duke and Adriana together, but there is a lot of chemistry between Adriana and Rex and I think it will be interesting to see what happens. I wonder what would upset Dorian more….her baby Cramer girl hooking up with bad boy Rex, or staying involved with a horrible Buchanan. Boy Dorian, what a choice! Just think, Dorian and Roxy as mothers in law at the same Thanksgiving Day table. Oh, that would be priceless!

Actually, I think Adriana acted like one big, immature baby last week when she was so disappointed that Duke had to work and couldn’t “play” with her when she wanted him to. I guess that was a little part of the Cramer in her that we saw when she walked out on Duke and went right to find Rex. I hope she remains more like the girl we first met and doesn’t get to be too much like her mom. I am torn because I really like Duke and wouldn’t want to see her hurt him, but she has definite possibilities with Rex and I’d love to see him with a nice girl.

Speaking of her mom…can Dorian ever stop sticking her nose into her girls’ business? She’s playing some silly game with Spencer, Blair and Kelly, isn’t she? And Dorian sure would have thrown herself into the pool without a life preserver if she had seen what her dear Kelly was doing with the dreaded Kevin in her shower. Those were great scenes…Heather Tom and Dan Gauthier make a very good Kevin and Kelly and it was nice to see them back together in that way…and it was nice to see the old Kevin…being honest about his feelings and laying his heart on the table for Kelly. It’s going to be interesting to see where these two go from here.

Let’s talk about Marcie and Hugh. I got more laughs out of these two than I’ve had in a long time. First of all, kudos to the person who had enough of a sense of humor to name a straight looking, conservative, buttoned up guy like that Hugh Hughes. That is hysterical, even though it is pretty ridiculous. Hugh and Marcie…now that’s an interesting pair. And how much of a riot was Kathy Brier playing the drunken Marcie? I died laughing at her, rolling all over Hugh, calling him funny names like “Yoo Hoo”…and I thought I’d fall off my chair when she…hmmmm…decorated his $200.00 shoes. Kathy did a great job and it was fun having some good laughs mixed in with such serious storylines.

Again, I ask what is the story with Marcie and Michael. It was interesting to see them together and each one claiming that they were dumped by the other. These two don’t even know why they’re broke up. It is stupid that they can’t sit down already and figure out what they want. Obviously, Roxy has ideas about Michael having the hots for Natalie…and maybe he does…a little bit…but Michael and Marcie need to settle things once and for all…get together or hash it out and move on.

Do you like Miss Layla Williamson? She’s got trouble written all over her face and I’d like to know what really happened to her in L.A. that made her run to her sister. And she’s got to stop being so shy, doesn’t she? Doesn’t everyone wind up coming onto their boss on the first day of their job…dancing with him…drinking with him and winding up sleeping in his apartment in his tee shirt? Gee, I’ve had the wrong jobs all my life, haven’t I? I won’t even get into Antonio’s response to her. How easily do you think he can be taken in?

Is Tess annoying you as much as she is annoying me? It’s not bad enough that she’s running all over New York thinking about finding food in a dumpster, but now we find out that Nash is really a pretty decent guy and she’s walking all over him. Of course, she’s going to realize she has feelings for him. Who wouldn’t? No matter what she looks like, how many guys would put up with what Nash has put up with? I know it’s going to be a while before we wind up this Jess/Tess storyline, but for now Jess is lost somewhere in that crazy head and I am finding Tess nothing but annoying. I would like to see Jess dealing with her problems again and maybe when Todd finds her we’ll get back to that. I’m sure Nash’s involvement isn’t over. I like him. He’s a cute guy with a decent heart….what’s not to like? Depending on what happens with Antonio and Jessica, maybe what Nash needs is a girl like Jessica after all. I think they’re letting Jess and Antonio stray too far and I wonder if they will work their way back to each other…and I wonder if they finally do head back together…will we care?

Word has it that Viki is going to be Dorian’s maid of honor. Oh my goodness, I think I would pay to see that if I had to. Can Dorian stop the hostility long enough to walk down the aisle with Viki as her maid of honor…or will she see Viki walking down the aisle ahead of her and mow her down with a bowling ball? You have to excuse me…the image was too funny to keep to myself.

In closing, I once again have to thank Roxy for my second favorite laugh of the week (Marcie gave me my favorite). Leave it to Roxy, in all her sadness about Natalie being missing and possibly dead…she was still thinking of the “up” side of life when she was talking to Michael about getting together with Natalie and marveled at the fact that she might get a doctor in the family. You have to credit Roxy with always taking care of herself when she asked Michael, “Do you think I could get a boob job?”

See ya next week...

FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Andrew writes: “I agree with you…especially about my Beloved Ben!! You aren't the only one who wishes TPTB would bring Ben back! He's all Viki needs now!!! All these references make me miss him more...Bring Back Ben!!!”

Dear Andrew: They sure are making a lot of references to Ben lately…you’re right. And it makes me miss him more, too. I never give up hope that he will be back. I figure that a character being “dead” on a soap opera is like breaking your leg in real life…a couple of months in real life and the leg heals…a couple of months on a soap and people come back from the dead. What’s the problem????

Dolores writes: “Talking about Ben (Mark Derwin)...I wonder what happened to him. The show he was on "Life with Bonnie" is obviously 'no more'. Can the soaps bring back someone whose heart is in some other body? I guess anything is possible on the Soaps but I do wish they would think of something to get him back with Viki. I guess that's not to be because I understand "Clint" is coming back. Oh well.....I can dream!”

Dear Dolores: Ooohhh, lots of people writing about Ben this week…I love that! As for what happened to Mark Derwin…he’s out in California trying to get work like a zillion other actors and it’s not easy. I’m sure he will give Hollywood every possible chance and I hope that he becomes a huge success. However, if the day comes that he decides to give his soap fans what they want and come back, I will welcome him back with open arms…LITERALLY!!! As for bringing back someone whose heart is in someone else’s body…..hmmmm….who said that Ben’s heart is REALLY the one in Viki’s body????? And yes, I hear that Clint is coming back but they are not looking for Clint Ritchie to reprise the role. Personally (and I say this at the risk of reviving the age-old battle), I think it’s fine if they want to bring back Clint to be around as Viki’s friend and the kids’ dad, but I don’t want Clint romantically involved with Viki under any circumstances. This might get me into trouble, but who cares???? I say why go back to beer when you’ve had the taste of champagne?

HOLLOWAY777 writes: “I, for one, like ASA. Has everyone forgot what Blair did to him? She slept with Max on her wedding day and wouldn't give him his medicine and then her and Todd tried to drive him crazy and take his home. Give him a break. If someone stole 30 million from me I would want him to pay.”

Dear HOLLOWAY777: I can understand how you feel about Asa…and I agree…although what he’s done to Blair is awful, she certainly has done some horrible things to him in the past. I am just sick of Asa getting away with everything and never paying in any way for what he does. At least when other people do things, like Blair, they pay in heartache for a while. Asa doesn’t even seem to have a heart any more. He certainly doesn’t care how his behavior affects Renee and he’s supposed to love her madly. You can give the old coot a break if you like…sorry, not me.

James writes: “How do you write to these stars and know that they receive the letters or e-mails? I don't want everyone reading them, just the intended.”

Dear James: Unfortunately, you can never be sure who is reading your e-mails and letters to the actors. I’m sure that some of the actors answer some of their own mail, but I think for the most part they have people who do it for them. They get tons of mail and couldn’t possibly read and answer it by themselves. Lots of the actors have people read their mail for them and send photos or post cards to the fans, so at least you know your mail is received and someone reads it.
