REFLECTIONS BY JILL….Congratulations to OLTL for putting together some great shows and some exceptionally suspenseful scenes leading up to Blair and Todd’s descent from that ledge and their great reunion. I totally enjoyed every show. I could feel Blair’s terror, as well as Todd’s when they were up on that ledge, as well as feel the joy and relief when they finally zoomed down safely to that air mattress. I will also give a bit of congratulations to Bo, even though he didn’t do much to actually save Blair and Todd…but I guess he must have eaten a few hundred power bars to have been able to kick that door down to get into the room where Todd was hanging out the window.  Our Bo sure is Superman when he needs to be…lol…remember when he played Spiderman and boosted himself out of that elevator he and Nora were trapped in? Ahhh, nothing like a superhero on daytime television…and how refreshing that he’s a man over 50 years of age!

All kidding aside, it was a beautiful reunion and it was a pleasure to watch Kassie perform as Blair with her kids when she finally got safely back to the police station. By far, the best scene of the week for me was at the very end of that show when Todd put Blair’s ring back on her finger and the kids jumped into bed with them. I loved seeing them as one happy family, even if it may only last for five minutes. I hear that Margaret will be heading back to town and is indeed pregnant. Well, time to burst that bubble. And before that happens, Todd will be having some intimacy issues of his own with Blair. I wish he’d just come out and tell her what happened. I haven’t heard from one person yet who is of the opinion that Blair would crucify Todd for what he had to do.

Soooo….slimy Daniel has a sweetie on the side. Is it Paige? It sure looked like Paige was somehow involved in something unsavory last week whenever she talked about Daniel and Nora’s wedding. I definitely think she’s somehow involved in something nasty…I don’t know if she’s Daniel’s honey or not, but she’s not what I’d call “kosher” either. And I can’t believe that Nora has talked herself into marrying Daniel when she has warning lights flashing in her face at every turn. Hasn’t she learned anything from her romantic life so far? Jeez, why doesn’t she just have little Matthew tell her what to do and exactly how to run her life? He’s the only one with enough brains and intuition to know that marrying Daniel would be the biggest disaster of her life. And hey, I know Daniel’s heart is not in this wedding, but don’t you think he looked just a bit scruffy for a groom? Was that his idea of a tuxedo? He should have gone shopping with Matthew. That kid looked sharp.

I found it a bit sacrilegious for Nora to even be marrying Daniel in that house. After all, Sam bought that house for Nora and it was in that house that he and Nora were supposed to be married in that New Year’s Eve wedding a few years back that never took place. I know it turned out that Sam was keeping the secret that Matthew really wasn’t his son, but I really did love Sam and I think Nora should have thought twice about marrying someone else in his house.

Do you think Bo has an idea that Daniel is involved in Paul Cramer’s murder? I’m thinking he’s onto something since he covered up the name “Ted” on his murder board and didn’t reveal to Daniel that he had that lead. I’d love to see Bo solve this one all by himself and slap the cuffs on Daniel before he punches his lights out.

And what a hoot…Nora and Lindsay having yet another food fight…well sort of. It was a riot to see Lindsay have the nerve to disrupt Nora’s wedding brunch and spew her venom in front of all those people. Nora tossing the orange juice all over her was quite appropriate in my opinion and she easily got away with it because it really wasn’t her fault. It reminded me of all the good old time, like the Thanksgiving when they destroyed Viki’s kitchen when Nora was trying to cook dinner. And I just about died laughing when Lindsay said that Sam wouldn’t be able to rest in peace with Nora marrying Daniel and Nora said that Sam shouldn’t be resting in peace at all. Lindsay, Honey, YOU KILLED SAM….REMEMBER?????

It was great seeing Rachel back in Llanview, even if it is for just a short time. I miss Ellen Bethea. She’s a wonderful actress and I always wished she’d come back on a permanent basis. It made me laugh when I saw her in Nora’s house. It reminded me of that old saying about family only getting together for weddings and funerals and the fact that the last time we saw Rachel was for Nora’s “funeral” when she supposedly died in the train crash taking Will to prison.

And you know that Dorian has gone waaayyyy too far when David decides to tell her she’s stepping over the line when it comes to going after Viki and defiling her entire family. Supposedly, David is going to get tired of dealing with Dorian’s obsession with Viki and her family and he’s going to pack up and leave. Can you imagine what Dorian will do then? It was hard to believe that even Dorian could continue to be so horrible even at the sight of Blair reunited with Todd and her children. All she could say was, “Don’t get too cozy, Todd.” I sure do hope that Viki follows through and doesn’t soften again when it comes to making Dorian pay, but I’m not counting on it. Word has it that Viki will be resigning from the University and will be going back to The Banner. Nothing could make me happier than to see Viki and Kevin making the Banner work together again. It would go a long way toward healing the dark spot Kevin left in my heart when he first came back to Llanview and walked all over Viki making nasty changes at The Banner.

Speaking of Kevin…I guess it builds character for me to have to admit that I’m starting to like the guy again. I can actually see some signs of the old Kevin whom I loved dearly. He was great with little Jack the other day when Jack couldn’t sleep and he told him a story…and I really didn’t hate seeing he and Kelly getting close again. It was pretty funny when Viki walked in on them though, wasn’t it?

I wonder what was going through Kevin’s mind when he said that he was pretty sure Todd wouldn’t testify against Asa for kidnapping Blair? Could Kevin blackmail Todd into letting Asa go by threatening to reveal what he knows about Todd and Margaret?

It was good to see Renee again also, except it does make me mad that she’s one of those casualties that we only get to see on occasions when people use The Palace for events. I’d love to see more of her when they bring Asa back to face the music.

I’m glad Jen decided not to run away with Rex. Although Rex is looking better and better these days, especially working with Bo, it would have been stupid for her to run and it would have played right into disgusting Daniel’s hands.

And we were reminded again how strong the connection is between John and Natalie when they were talking about growing up in New Jersey and having a few laughs together. I know Natalie said she’s going to put things behind her and move on…and that includes moving on from John…but no way is that obvious to anyone and John sure doesn’t seem to be pushing her away. It’s very interesting…his relationship with Evangeline seems to be getting stronger and closer…yet his relationship with Natalie and his pull toward her does not diminish. Where is this mess going to wind up?

All in all, another good week…someone pinch me!

See ya next week...

FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Sheree writes: “What do you think of the possibility of Vangie's family coming to Llanview? I don't want to see another bunch of actors join OLTL at the expense of some of our favorites being bumped to recurring status. Timothy D. Stickney and Catherine Hickland deserve a front burner storyline NOT shoved off screen like some old shoes.”

Dear Sheree: Right now I think it’s a bit premature to bring Evangeline’s family to Llanview. I don’t think we need any new families and I agree that we have more than enough wonderful characters to deal with at this point. Personally, I was only saddened at the demise of one new family that came to Llanview in recent years and that was the Rappaports. Aside from Ben, whom everyone knows I adore more than anyone else, I loved the interaction of Ben, Sam and Will and when the added Grace to the mix I thought they made a great family, especially since they tied in Viki, Kevin, Nora…and yes, even crazy Lindsay. It’s a real shame, in my opinion, that Sam, Grace and my beloved Ben are all dead….SUPPOSEDLY…lol! I think once Jen is gone from Llanview (when Jessica Morris leaves the show), there won’t be much keeping Lindsay around. I don’t personally see a great future for Lindsay and RJ and rumors abound that they could be on a list of possible future recurring characters. No confirmation on that…just rumor for now.

Mercedes writes: “Maybe it's me, but does Dorian seem on the brink of a breakdown? She seems to be wrapped up in her own reality! I believe she is harboring some sort of mental disorder to be constantly "paranoid" of my beloved Viki and these "plots" that are designed to bring Dorian and her girls down! But on a serious note...what brilliant actresses these two are, Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser!!!”

Dear Mercedes: I could not agree with you more. Yes, Erika and Robin are exceptionally brilliant at what they do…and yes, Dorian does always seem on the verge of a breakdown. Her desire to “be” Viki and have what Viki has will always be what drives her to strike out at what she thinks should be hers. You’re right though…she is now meaner and seems more dangerous than ever before.

Patti writes: “I am writing to find the name of a song used on the show. First let me say that I love One Life To Live. Todd and Blair are my favorites and Marcie!! Who couldn't love Marcie? Anyway I was wondering if you could give me the name of the song used on March 29th while showing a series of characters, like Viki, Natalie, John, Todd putting Blair's engagement ring back on and Kevin and Kelly. It is a beautiful song. ”

Dear Patti: Yes it was a very beautiful song…and I have no idea what the name of it was or who sang it. I am posting your e-mail in the hopes that someone will write to me and tell me what it was…then I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I find out.

Shirley Lee writes: “Until they get Bo and Nora back together, I don’t think I want to watch any more. I despise Dorian and that she always gets away with her treachery. Once, just once I would love to see her get what she deserves and see Viki give it to her. I think I missed something though. Was Viki really responsible for getting her fired from the hospital?”

Dear Shirley: I’m in favor of Bo and Nora getting back together, too…but of course, Nora will now have to go through the horror of getting over yet another bad choice in men when she finds out the truth about her latest snake. I, too, would love to see Viki stick to her guns and make Dorian pay for her dirty deeds, but I guess she wouldn’t be Viki if she didn’t have such a big, forgiving heart. And no, of course Viki was not responsible for Dorian being fired from her job as Chief of Staff. The fact is that while Dorian was busy sticking her nose into everything that wasn’t her business and being involved in everything sinister other than her job, she spent all of about five minutes in the hospital in her office doing her job…and that’s why she was fired. Of course, it didn’t help that they found the gun that killed Paul Cramer hidden in her office. We don’t even know how Viki voted when the board decided to fire Dorian. Dorian just assumes, as she always does, that Viki was responsible, like she is for everything else that goes wrong in her life.
