REFLECTIONS BY JILL….Okay, everyone is talking about Cristian’s weird behavior. Some say he is not really Cristian…some say he’s suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder…and some say he has been brainwashed somehow. I don’t know what’s wrong with him, but it sure does seem like he’s suffering from some sort of distress from the ordeal he’s been through for the past year.

What I don’t understand yet is why some things are familiar to him and some are not. He obviously knew Natalie, Antonio and Jessica on sight. It didn’t appear that he knew Viki, Kevin, or Todd when he saw them…and of course he doesn’t know what his favorite foods or artists are. I also found it strange that he told Antonio that he wasn’t ready to contact Carlotta, but he did remember enough to call her on the phone before he came back and just listened to her voice then hang up. Cristian also remembers enough to hate John McBain for the year that he and Natalie lost.

I think the more time that goes where Natalie doesn’t tell Cristian about her relationship with John, the worse it’s going to be. Natalie is feeling so guilty that all she can do is keep trying to assure Cristian that even though he was gone, she never stopped loving him. She’s trying to convince herself as well as Cristian. Of course she would always love him, but she can’t let him go on thinking John is the bad guy.

And what about Todd and Blair’s wedding? To tell you the truth, if I didn’t get such a kick out of crazy Margaret and her antics, I’d be totally bored with yet one more wedding mishap for Todd and Blair. I have to give credit to whomever it was that cast the role of Margaret. That actress does a better acting job with just her face and her eyes than some Emmy winners do with pages of emotional dialogue. It’s not every day that you get a scary chill up your spine and laugh at the same time when someone is on your screen. Can you believe she actually shot Todd? I guess the duct tape wasn’t enough for her…she had to find herself a gun with a silencer. What a good girl scout…always prepared…that’s our Margaret. Of course, we’re supposed to believe that she just waltzed into The Palace in a big wedding dress and veil and went unnoticed up to Todd’s room.

And what about Addie? As always, to me she is the voice of reason. The things I like most are the scenes where we get to see the really human side of Blair. As selfish and insane as Blair can sometimes be, I always enjoy seeing how much she loves her mother and shows her total respect no matter how childlike Addie is. I love their relationship.

I also loved Viki’s discussion with Todd when he was getting dressed for the wedding. You have to love all the facets of Viki’s personality (and I don’t mean her alters) when she is able to deal with everyone in her life on their level. I was cheering her on when Todd told her that a little voice kept telling him that he was going to screw things up and she said, “Well tell that damned voice to take a hike.” Almost as funny was Todd’s reaction of, “Victoria, such language!” Viki is everything to everyone…she was even the referee when Kevin and Todd were trying to rip the stuffing out of each other before the wedding. Can’t we give Viki something better to do?

Does anybody think like I do that Tico is every more creepy in Jessica’s nightmares than he was when he was alive? Enough already. Let’s put him to rest…literally. I wonder if Sonia had anything to do with his death before she left town. Maybe she finally found her anger at him for deceiving her for so many years when she was so devoted to him as her loving brother.

The quick-change award this week goes to Dorian. Have you ever seen anyone go from being in jail and looking like death warmed over one minute to being exquisitely decked out for a wedding five minutes later? She’s got my vote.

And David. I can’t ever say enough about how he cracks me up. It was funny enough when he asked both Viki and Adriana if they had brought a cake with a file in it to the jail…but when he asked Bo the same question I died laughing. Of course, once he had asked Viki and Adriana, you knew what was coming when he called Bo over to his cell, which made it even funnier.

I’m getting bit tired of the cat and mouse game between Bo and Nora. Yes, I want them to get on with it and give their relationship another try, but I am totally tired of the silly games they are playing…especially when Bo deliberately put his arm around Paige to make Nora jealous at The Palace. I was glad that Paige busted him for it. It was a ridiculous thing to do. And Nora was no better teasing Daniel into coming to her place and making him believe that she was ready to take their relationship to the next level. I don’t care much about Paige, but I think Nora needs to stop toying with Daniel.

I am getting a very weird feeling about Paige. First of all, she doesn’t seem to warm up to anyone, even Bo…and she was really annoying when she took that attitude with Michael about the Hospital Board review of Tico’s death. That all-business way she has about her is not only making her look like a nasty, unfeeling person, but it’s making he look like she’s up to no good in some way. She was really harsh with Michael. She should have displayed more feelings for the situation he was in as a young doctor who was worried about his future and reputation as a doctor. Instead, it looked like she was putting him on the chopping block to save her own skin. I have to say it…I don’t care for Paige at all and Bo deserves a lot better in a woman.

And I was very ticked off at Michael for being mad at Marcie when she asked Jessica to try and make him feel better about Tico’s death. Call me crazy, but he and Marcie need a break from each other. They are completely out of sync and even though she can go on and on sometimes, she only means well where he’s concerned. He didn’t even say a word to her when she was all made over with a beautiful dress and a new hairdo. That’s a no-no, Michael.

I love the way the Dorian/Viki feud is heating up again. You knew it was only a matter of time before that truce was over and Dorian was blaming Viki for everything that went wrong in her life. It was just the thing they needed to start the fire going when Viki came to fire her. I think Dorian held onto that job as Chief of Staff for a lot longer than she deserved to. I don’t think she’s spent five minutes in her hospital office since the day she got the job.

The storyline about Starr getting braces on her teeth was very cute. She should have been around when I was a kid and invisible braces hadn’t even been dreamed of yet…then she’d really be upset. And what about little Matthew? All of a sudden he’s a computer expert, able to alter images on his laptop. I’m impressed Matthew…lol.

I hesitate to being this up because every time we have a change in Executive Producers or Head Writers I get worked up with great expectations…but maybe I’ll give it one more shot…silly me. A friend of mine sent me an interview that our new Head Writer, Dana Higley gave and in it Dana made no bones about the fact that she was taking One Life To Live back to basics, meaning ROMANCE, ROMANCE, ROMANCE! Could it be possible that this is something we should count on? Don’t disappoint me Dana!!!

See ya next week...

FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Irene writes: “This my sound weird but back during the Karen and Larry days, I believe One Life To Live used to play this song “Born Again.” Can anyone tell me who sang that song? My friends say it’s James Ingram. I say Jon Lucien. Can you help us settle this?”

Dear Irene: This does not sound weird and yes I can help you settle it. Sorry, but you’re both wrong. Two point for you for remembering that the song was played during the Larry and Karen storyline. I didn’t remember that, but I do remember and love that song. I remembered half of the duo that sang it, and all I did was a Google search on one line from the song and it gave me the name, the singers and the entire lyrics to the song. The singers were Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright and it was done in 1979. Now, if you had asked me about songs that played during the Ben and Viki era, I would have had no trouble rattling them off without thinking twice about it…lol.

Joan writes: “I think it was Kevin who pulled the plug on Tico. The sleeve you see on the person pulling the plug matches the shirt he wears in a later scene. Of course, we're seeing that person in Tico's room through Jessica's delirious eyes, so who knows?”

Dear Joan: Personally, I haven’t been swayed yet that the sleeve was anyone’s but Antonio’s, but on the other hand, I don’t believe he did it. It’s too easy. I wouldn’t mind it being Kevin at all…you know how much I love him lately (NOT!). I figure it’s not any of the obvious three…Jessica, Antonio or Cristian. I’m always wrong so I await the answer just like everyone else.

Sharon writes:Has anyone considered that maybe this is the beginning of Jessica's split personality? And maybe one of her alters killed Tico, just like Viki killed her dad? Just a thought. Also, we now have 2 unsolved murders in Llanview, and I don't care WHO killed either one, I am just glad they are both gone. So they need to wrap up these murders so we can get past this, and forget about these most unforgettable characters.”

Dear Sharon: Actually, I think that rumor about Jess having DID is just that, a rumor. I hesitate to say that it would be stupid for them to give her DID and make it look like she inherited it from her mother because DID is not hereditary…but how stupid would I be if I didn’t at least believe even a little bit that they would do something that ridiculous. I’m thinking more along the lines of Jess having some kind of breakdown, but the DID thing is very far fetched. Of course, if I’m wrong, I’ll humbly eat crow. And I couldn’t agree more that we’re beyond the point of caring who killed Tico or Paul. I’m just thrilled that they’re both gone.

Amber writes: “Do you think Antonio and Jess are going to get back together? I really hope they do. Do you see the way they look at each other? They have a connection that cant be broken!!”

Dear Amber: I hope that Antonio and Jessica are going to get back together. I agree that they do belong together. They love each other a lot and he’s more of a total human being when he’s with her than any other time in his life. I hope they can work things out.
