REFLECTIONS BY JILL….Wow…there is so much going on Llanview these days that I can hardly keep track of everything.

Although I was never his biggest fan, I was sorry to see Troy go the way he did.  Ty Treadway is a great actor and did a great job of flipping out, but it just seems like the way to get rid of a character these days is to have them go out of their mind.  Troy did show a glimmer of the man he once was when he got Nora to the hospital.  It’s hard to believe that his whole existence revolved around the fact that being with Nora gave him some kind of validation and when she left him his life was over.  I’m always baffled at how Nora has the ability to send a man’s life into a tailspin.  I also found it not too original for Troy to hold a broken glass to Nora’s throat.  Didn’t we have enough of broken glass with Jessica and Mitch?  I wish Ty good luck in whatever he does.

Speaking of Nora, I was more than glad that when Bo found out that she set up that whole surveillance operation and used Gabrielle to trap Troy his first words to her were, “THAT’S NOT YOUR JOB!”  It was pretty stupid of Nora to get involved in that way.  She got off way too easy if you ask me…and Bo shouldn’t let her off the hook.

So now Fiona Hutchison is leaving the show.  I almost thought that Gabby was done in lying in that morgue locker.  Maybe the blackout caused the freezer to go off and kept her alive long enough for Bo to find her…lol.  I wonder how they’re going to write her out of the show…maybe she’ll leave town and take Max with her since James DePaiva is leaving as well.  See, I told you it was getting hard to keep track of all the goings on.

And speaking of leaving…Keri is going, too…and guess what…she’s going to flip out also.  Can we say ENOUGH ALREADY!  Keri came to town as a normal, upstanding citizen who would never be the type to lose her mind over a man.  All of a sudden she finds out she’s RJ’s daughter, concocts a stupid plan to fake her death as well as her daughters, and when Antonio doesn’t want her back she “goes nutty” as the spoilers say.  Supposedly, Antonio is supposed to win joint custody of Jamie in court, which sends Keri over the edge.  Yes, that’s believable…NOT!  I read that Evangeline will testify on behalf of Antonio.  That should make RJ’s day, don’t you think?

Okay, almost everywhere I go on the Internet, people are down on the relationship between Antonio and Jessica.  Call me crazy, but I like these two together.  I see a lot of chemistry there and of course, Antonio has a real problem with anger management, but he is working on it and a woman like Jessica is just what he needs to calm him down and make him happy (and keep that badge in his possession and out of Bo’s desk drawer).  After all, Jessica is her mother’s daughter…always giving people a chance…and Viki sure did a wonderful job of getting Ben to settle down…he was quite the “angry Ben” at times himself.  I see a lot more chemistry between Antonio and Jessica than I do between Cristian and Natalie.  I was quite bored when the writers threw in that tiff they had because Cristian, being a normal guy, was not into all the “girly stuff” that’s involved in putting together a wedding.  I guess Natalie still has a lot of insecurities to deal with, but she should lighten up.

I don’t have much new to say about Kevin…I still can’t stand his latest personality change.  He’s going to run for Lieutenant Governor and that should be a real boost for his relationship with Kelly…I think not.  This whole “Blair and Kevin” thing is horrible.  I thought Blair had grown up a lot since her old days when I remember her being shocked that Ben didn’t fall for her advances and she told him, “Gee, most men just fall like bowling pins for me.”  She still needs way too much attention for her own good, but she’s way out of line even spending a minute with Kevin knowing that he is being anything but noble and dedicated to his wife, her cousin Kelly.

I like the new Kelly, Tracy Melchior.  I hope she gives Kevin a run for his money and really lets him have it for being such a jerk.

Oh geez…spoilers tell us that Rex is finally going to give Jen her divorce and she’s going to marry Joey.  Get ready Viki, you got away easy when Jessie decided not to marry Will, but you are finally going to be related to Lindsay…have fun.  I was happy that Lindsay was finally vindicated and passed her evaluation.  Who knows what she’ll do next to turn Llanview upside down.  Bo better watch out since he’s going to be available again pretty soon.

Does anyone think that Riley should be the lead singer of Midnight Logic instead of Flash/Sara?  I do.  He has such a nice voice and hers…sorry to say…just annoys me.  I am kind of enjoying her new relationship with Asa.  Maybe they can take their act on the road…oh, but we have recently heard Asa sing…no thanks.

I am still upset about the upcoming demise of Marci and Al.  Supposedly Kathy Brier is also leaving the show (confirmed – I don’t know)…but she’s supposed to have a brother arriving in Llanview this week.  I wonder what’s going to happen there.

So, Walker is Todd?  Spoilers say that the real Walker is somewhere in NJ and is very ill and Todd took his place…so I guess Michael Easton will not be Todd.  That’s fine with me.  He is supposed to play a private eye named Mike McBain…let’s see where that goes.

And last but not least, I read right here on this site that Mitch will be murdered “for real” and that Troy will be involved when the truth comes out.  Oh my gosh…I was hoping we’d seen the last of Mitch….have we?

I have one last plea…On August 15th, Viki is going to have flashbacks about her life with Ben.  Please let this not be what often happens before or when someone dies on a soap opera.  Keep Ben alive…even with a recast…PLEASE!

See ya next week...
