Recap for July 25th – July 29th

Kevin and Kelly make love again. Kevin admits how much he still loves Kelly while Kelly admits that she does miss him too. Kevin tells Kelly that Blair called him and that’s why he came over. Feeling used, Kelly thinks that the only reason Kevin is interested in her is because he is jealous. Mike wonder why Spencer all of a sudden has taken interest in him, Spencer claims that he can’t let other doctors “see him playing favorites.” Lindsay interrupts them begging Spencer to help her friend who is dying from liver failure. Spencer promises to see that her friend gets a liver. Mike and Spencer observe another doctor performing a surgery. The patient begins to die on the operating table as the doctor fails to save him. Spencer coaxes the doctor to let the patient go, as there is nothing left to do for him. Spencer tells Lindsay that a new liver has just become available for her friend. Layla meets up with Van, Van hands her a one-way ticket out of Llanview. Layla refuses to go, thinking that Van needs her. Van admits that she is beginning to lose her sanity and can’t be responsible for the killer killing her sister. Layla absolutely refuses to go, saying she can handle it. Hugh runs into Marcie again, Marcie begins to talk of her fight with Rex. Hugh tells her to call Rex and then invites her to lunch. Hayes interrupts them, wanting Marcie to sign some papers for her award. Marcie expresses little interest in the award as she sits with Hugh. Hugh tells her that she really should accept the honor of the award. Marcie reluctantly goes to her apartment to retrieve the papers, Hayes goes with her. In her apartment Hayes says a few disturbing things and then reveals himself as Ivan Potter. Marcie can’t believe it. Hayes/Ivan gives her an ultimatum – go with him or Nat is killed. Bo and John got an i.d. on their killer; they know Hayes is the killer. John finds out that Hayes followed Marcie home, but when he and Bo arrive at the apartment it’s empty. Hayes takes Marcie to the location of the new killing club wherein she sees Nat and Rex tied up. . .

Tess gives Nash a gift – a replacement vase for the one she broke. Nash’s stockbroker calls to let him know that a deal went thru and the company is going under. Nash tells Tess that his dream of opening a wine vineyard will have to wait. Nash begins to teach Tess how to become a wine taste tester. Adriana pops in an Antonio wherein she finds Layla’s bra. Antonio admits she slept over but nothing happened. Antonio has to meet with Rex; Adriana wants to go with Antonio to see Rex. Van admits that she still loves John but can’t love him if he loves someone else; Layla thinks that will get back together. Bo and John learn that Hugh and Rex were also seen with Marcie and Hayes. After questioning Hugh, Bo concludes that he isn’t Hayes’ accomplice. John has officers search every warehouse and empty theater. Ron comes in demanding to know why the police are in Marcie’s apartment. Bo tells him that Hayes is the killer and has Marcie; Ron is furious and goes to call him family. John vows to do whatever it takes to find Hayes. Bo tells him not to lose his cool because he knows Hayes will mess up soon. Antonio and Adriana arrive at Rodi’s, but there is no sign of Rex. Van tells Antonio that Hayes is the killer and may have Marcie. Adriana meets Layla, at first they don’t seem to like each other but then they start to warm up to each other talking about girl stuff. Antonio asks the bartender about Rex, the bartender saw Rex leave after he and Marcie had a fight. Outside Van finds a rag doused in chloroform, she recognizes it as the same rag that was used on her. A watch is found and Adriana identifies it as Rex’s. Marcie examines the faces long enough to see that Hayes has pictures taped to mannequins. Hayes mentions that Rex’s body is real. Hayes is trying to wake Rex up as Marcie grabs one of the mannequin’s arms that fell off and clobbers Hayes on the head. He falls to the ground and Marcie unties Rex. Not wanting to leave Nat behind Rex wants to look around; Hayes comes to and stuns him with a taser. Hayes brings his accomplice out to meet Marcie and it’s Nick. Nick apologizes, saying that there was nothing he could do. Marcie tries to get Nick to realize what he’s doing, but Hayes has manipulated him to beyond that point. Hayes tells Nick to get ready for “the final chapter.” Hayes turns to Marcie and tells her that she is going to help him end his “story”. . .
