One Life to Live Recap for the week of July 24 - July 28, 2006

Adriana freaks out when she opens the curtains to see a butterfly, Rex tells her that she can’t be scared whenever she sees something like that – not everything is the stalker trying to get to her. Adriana apologizes; Rex assures her that he will let nothing happen to her. Nash drives Jess and tells her that he is expecting to make Tess come out, Jess vows not to let that happen. Nash tells Jess about the first time he met Tess, the way he saved her from Bruce, the first time they made love and how they both shared the same dream. Jess starts to remember, Nash can see that she is starting to remember something but Jess doesn’t admit to remembering anything.

RJ goes to see Nora, just in time as she starts to fall as she is walking and he catches her. Nora explains that she needs to be able to walk 20 feet before the doctors will let her go home. RJ reveals that he has a letter from Rachael, but he doesn’t give it to Nora – he makes her walk to get it. RJ knew Nora could do it, as she rips the letter from his hand. Nora reads the letter and is excited as Rachael says that she is trying to come home. Cris and Todd come to blows over Van, Layla stops them from hurting each other even more – making them realize that fighting over Van when she is fighting for her life is stupid. Mike comes out of the OR to tell them that Van pulled thru the surgery ok and there will be no permanent damage to her spine. Mike also explains that Dr. Simmons will be performing the eye surgery next. Cris doesn’t think it’s safe but has no choice but to let it happen.

After the surgery, Dr. Simmons reports that Van is doing fine but it is too early to tell if the procedure worked. Cris and Van want to go see her, Mike tells them that no one is allowed into the OR, but he will keep them up to date. Todd makes a call to the hospital BOD and, because of his sizeable donation; they agree to let him into the OR to see Van. Todd goes in and tells Van that she didn’t give up on him so he won’t give up on her. Antonio sits and talks with Claudia, thinking he is deterring her from drinking. Antonio gets up to call Jess but Claudia gets him to stall even more. Antonio finally calls but gets no answer, he calls his superintendent and has him go check on the apartment – to which the superintendent reports the door is left open and the apartment is empty. Antonio knows that Nash took Jess. Clint and Dorian are mending fences as they talk about their first right. Both apologize to each other and agree to accept the fact that both people care very much for and look out for their respected families. They are on the verge of making love when Clint gets a call from Antonio, who fills Clint in on everything. Dorian understands that Clint has to go. Meanwhile, Antonio grabs his gun and is ready to go after Nash. . .

Marcie finds Roxy in a drunken stupor, but even in that stupor Roxy manages to give Marcie advice about having children. Marcie explains she is still depressed about Tommy, Roxy makes her see that sometimes parents have to forget about themselves and do what is right for the child. Rex and Adriana wake up and share breakfast in bed, wherein Adriana feels insecure about her relationship with Rex – thinking she’s not good enough because he has been with so many other girls. Rex explains that she is the only one he is in love with, Adriana gets a text message from the stalker and Rex, again, reassures her that he will protect her. Not wanting to let the stalker control her life, Adriana opts to go sunbathing and Rex tags along. Hugh is working out and spots Kelly, Kelly asks him to go easy on David because he is a friend. Hugh agrees to see what he can do; they change the subject and talk about Duke. Kevin overhears them and makes a scene, Hugh calms him down. Kelly goes home but Kevin follows her. Kevin explains that he wants to talk, Kelly is willing to listen. Kevin thinks it’s a good idea that they live separate lives and should avoid each other at all costs.

Spencer catches Blair on the phone leaving John a message; she quickly turns off the phone and says she was trying to reach Starr. Spencer wants to take her mind off of everything that’s been going on so they share a shower together. John has David brought up to his office, where he offers David his favorite cannoli if he can rat out Spencer. David explains that if he could turn Spencer in, he already would have. After they are done with the shower, Spencer and Blair go their separate ways. Blair immediately calls John and tells him about Lenny the Forger. John turns to David and interrogates him on what he knows about Lenny. David explains that he knows very little about his father’s “business” but does remember the name Lenny and gives John a few possible locations as to where he might be. Hugh shows up and offers David a deal – any info on Spencer will get David’s charges dropped. David is taken back down to his cell; Hugh and John begin the search for Lenny.
