One Life to Live Recap for the week of May 15 - May 19, 2006

David tries to get Margaret to see that they should probably pack up and leave, but Margaret doesn’t see the need to go anywhere. David gets a call from Spencer, who tells him that John is in Bangkok and knows everything. David freaks out and explains to Margaret that they need to get out of Bangkok quick.

Blair and Bo arrive at the station, Starr explains that they were covering up graffiti, not adding to it. Blair, after learning what the message was, starts to believe Starr. Bo reveals that he knows Starr stole the spray paint, to which Starr admits doing. Blair wants to make Starr pay for her consequences but Rickie steps in to say that it was his idea. Starr claims that Rickie had nothing to do with it. Bo takes Blair into his office and talks her into letting Starr slide on this one. Blair takes Starr home and tells her that she is to never see Rickie again.

Bo goes back into his office and calls Clint, they talk about how they are going to let Asa know about Duke. John takes off after the elevator and Nat takes off after John. John gets to the ground floor and spots Denton and runs after him. After catching him, John threatens Denton with his life if he doesn’t reveal where David is. Denton claims that he doesn’t know. Nat arrives in time to convince John to let him go, Denton takes off – but not before John lifted his wallet. John takes a peek inside the wallet and finds an address. Nat wants to go with him but chooses to stay behind on account of her leg. John gets directions to the address and heads to it. David is hurrying Margaret along as he shovels things into a suitcase. Margaret goes into the bathroom to get her make-up bag, David calls to her that he is going to make sure the coast it clear. David opens the door and finds John standing there. . .

Clint and Bo go to the hospital to tell Asa about Duke, they opt not to after seeing that Asa is having a bad day. Viki makes a statement to the press asking them to leave her family alone for the time being. Tess shows a sensitive side, feeling bad for Kevin and the whole Buchanan family. Nash suggests she let Kevin hold Brennan, just to make him feel more at ease. Viki talks with Kevin, who is desperately trying to keep his emotions in. Viki promises that things will return to normal very soon. Kevin tells Viki he feels horrible for not telling Duke he loves him, after Duke apologizes for what he did. Viki tells Kevin that it is NOT his fault that Duke is gone.

Clint and Bo return from the hospital as Tess brings the baby down for Kevin to hold. Kevin remembers holding Duke, he tells Tess to treasure the time she has with her baby. Todd rereads Van’s files, hoping to find something that will help keep him alive – Van suggests they hire someone to do the leg work for them, just to help them out. Van can’t believe how little time they have left, Todd sympathizes with her about Van losing her sight. Van can’t just stand by and watch Todd be killed. Todd recounts the night that Margaret called him to the lake, Van thinks Spencer followed them there and found Margaret and convinced her to help him. Van quickly realizes that Spencer did the autopsy report and thinks they should have the body exhumed. Van leaves to do talk to the DA, Reverend Andrew Carpenter shows up to help counsel Todd.

Blair goes to see Kelly to pick up her spirits, Kelly can’t help but think she is responsible for Duke’s death. Spencer shows up and convinces her otherwise, he also convinces her that she has to be strong and recover for her own good. Spencer and Blair leave Kelly to be alone for a few moments, outside Blair tries to calm Spencer down after he shows genuine concern for Duke’s death. John busts his way into David rooms and threatens to kill him if he doesn’t admit to killing his father. David thinks he’s bluffing as John pulls out a gun and holds it up to David – David confesses that he shot someone and didn’t know it was John’s father.

Meanwhile, Margaret hears the squabble outside and wonders what’s going on. After hearing a gunshot she opts to jump out the window and run away. David stands motionless as the gun went off, he looks behind him to see Denton lying on the floor. John wants to know why Denton was holding a gun to David while his back as turned. David tells John Todd is innocent, that Spencer sent Denton there to kill him. David tells John that Margaret is alive and was in the hotel room but took off out the window. Natalie goes to the same bartender David went to and shows him a picture of David, the bartender lies and says he doesn’t remember seeing the man in the picture. She turns around and sees Margaret entering the bar. . .
