One Life to Live Recap for the week of April 17 - April 21, 2006

Nash brings Tess to their new apartment, Nash reveals that he rented out an apartment so they can bring their baby home in. Tess sees stuffed animals on the bed and begins to think of Norman. Nash brings her out of her flashback, Tess sends him on an errand to get a cheeseburger from Rodi’s. Antonio runs into Bo at Rodi’s, Bo tells him that if he needs help with Jess to let him know. Antonio thanks him, Nash comes in. Antonio tells him that he met Claudia and they need to deal with her.

John is on the phone with a file clerk – trying to get info on the surgical team that operated on his father. Nat comes in and sees that he is getting upset and tries to calm him down. John is being stubborn and Nat wonders what will happen if John never finds his father’s killer. Crosby comes in to check up on John, Nat takes off.

Crosby hopes John will be able to cope with his father’s death once he finds the killer. Nat stops Crosby outside and expresses her concern for John – she thinks that he is setting his hopes too high and will be let down if he never finds his father’s killer.

Meanwhile, John gets a fax and notices something strange – the list of surgeons is incomplete, only listing 5 names which contradicted Snyder who said there were 6 people in the OR. John calls Mike. Spencer is consoling Mike after losing a patient on the table. Spencer brings up Mike’s father’s death, Mike reveals that he became a doctor so that a mistake – like the one they made on his dad – wouldn’t happen again. Mike gets interrupted by his cell phone. John asks him to get to the police station ASAP. Mike goes to the police station and agrees that there should’ve been no less that 6 people in the OR. John calls the file clerk again and demands they reinvestigate the list. After getting attitude from the file clerk, John throws a few things around. Nat hears it and expresses her fears of what would happen if John found the killer. Paige goes to see Spencer to tell her that she will be telling Bo about her secret – but agrees to keep Spencer’s secrets. Spencer makes her realize that she might make a mistake, if she knows the identity of the man she killed. . .

Nash doesn’t believe that Antonio ran into Claudia, Antonio makes Nash see that he is telling the truth. Nash thinks that Antonio is happy that Claudia came back to tear apart him and Tess. Antonio explains that he wants to help Nash keep Claudia away from Tess, Nash thinks Antonio is only thinking of himself. Antonio storms out. John doesn’t want to hear Nat reprimand him. Nat explains that she is not yelling at him, she just wants him to see that she is worried about him. They argue, Van comes in to break them up. After Van sides with Nat, John storms out of his office. Nat blames Van for John’s problems, Van is so furious that she storms out of John’s office. Cris goes to see Todd and begs him to fire Van. Todd will not fire Van, citing that she is the only one who believes in him. Cris tells Todd about Van’s breakdown in his apartment. Van comes in and wonders why Cris is there. Todd explains why Cris is there, Van is furious with Cris for taking this approach. Van tells Todd that she doesn’t plan on going anywhere. Cris leaves, Van explains that she is at another dead end – she has been thru every channel to try to get the case retried and no one will reopen the case. Todd hands Van a video tape and tells her to give it to Blair, only Blair – saying that he doesn’t want it anywhere near Spencer.

Viki tracks down Tess and explains that the baby will be loved no matter who’s baby it is. Tess thinks that Jess will not survive the integration, that she will become the dominant and host personality. Viki hopes that Jess emerges as the strong personality. Tess doesn’t feel the same way, but she does kind of open up to Viki about the joys of having a child. Viki tells Tess to remember that, no matter who the baby belongs to, it will be loved. Viki leaves, as Nash returns with Tess’ cheeseburger.

Paige thinks that Spencer is bluffing, the only reason he is saying that is because he is running out of options. Spencer reveals that Paige knows the children of the man she killed. Again, Paige thinks that Spencer is bluffing. Spencer reveals that she killed Thomas McBain – Mike and John’s father. John tracks down Snyder at a bar and shows him the list of names from the OR the night his father was killed. Snyder tries to dismiss the list but John keeps at it. Snyder eventually reveals that an intern named Paige Truman was the reason his father is dead. John is shocked to find out that Paige is partly to blame for his dad’s death. John asks why Snyder kept Paige’s secret. Snyder replies with “not why, but who.” John figures out that the only person who could’ve done such a thing would be… Spencer Truman. . .
