One Life to Live Recap for the Week of January 9 - January 13, 2006

Hugh warns John that Van will tear into him when he’s on the stand. John knows how to handle being on the stand, Hugh reveals that he’s got a trick up his sleeve that will knock Van on her behind. John defends Van, Van overhears everything and thanks John for defending her. Van admits that she doesn’t think she can win Todd’s case. Van breaks down in John’s arms. Kevin wonders if he really will be sterile, Mike can’t say for sure now – it being too early. Duke seeks support from Kelly when he tells her that he and Adriana split up. Kelly reminds Duke that she is always there for him. Kevin overhears Duke and Kelly talking about a baby. Duke and Kelly visit Kevin, Duke is called to BE – Kelly tells Kev about Duke. Mike releases Kev. Duke runs into Adriana, they avoid each other. Layla overhears Duke trying to find applicants for a job. Layla wants to apply. Rex goes to the gym and meets with Cris, Cris warns Rex to not hurt Adriana – or he’ll hurt Rex back. Rex gives Cris an ultimatum – Cris helps Rex gets Adriana, Rex promises to help Cris win back Nat. . .

Nat walks in on John comforting Van, Van – wanting to avoid a confrontation – walks out. Nat is furious at John for taking Van’s side, telling him what Van did to Viki on the stand. John finally snaps and tells Nat that he’s done with her and done with trying to prove something to her – after all, they aren’t together. Van tracks Cris down at the gym and gives him a letter of recommendation, so he can try to get a job. Van reveals that Nat walked in on her and John, Cris thinks that he still might have a chance with Nat. Adriana sees Rex outside the gym, Rex is bleeding from the punch Cris thru at him. Adriana makes him go to the hospital where Mike, who just made plans with Marcie to go out to dinner, stitches Rex up. Marcie and Adriana watch in amusement as Mike sews up Rex’s wound. Mike and Marcie make their way to the Palace for dinner, wherein Mike tells Marcie that he still loves her – they are on the way to a reconciliation. At the hospital, Rex and Adriana become closer but they know that they can never be together. Adriana walks away from him, Rex watches as Adriana walks out of the hospital. Clint defends Nash to Viki, Viki thinks that Nash is the wrong person for Jessica. Clint knows what Nash is going thru and sympathizes with him. Jess has the amnio performed and Antonio takes her home. Nash follows and wants to explain to Tess about Claudia. Tess lets him tell the whole story – Nash met and fell for Claudia, she offered to give him money, he took almost all of her money before Claudia’s father found out, Nash decided to leave Claudia which sent her into a mental breakdown and to a rehab center. Tess throws Nash out of Llanfare, Nash promises not to leave without knowing the future of the baby. . .
