ASA 

Nigel tried to keep him down but he wouldn't rest! When he entered the
living room, Max informed him that his breakfast was on the way! He
became agitated and ordered Nigel to phone the police and have Max
arrested! Max reminded him that he had just told Bo he had known Max
wasn't his son. Asa had put the hit out on Ben, his very own son! It
would appear strange if Asa suddenly tossed Max out, almost as if he were
feeling 'guilty'! 

LLANFAIR

Ben and Viki were making breakfast and she was tension-filled over the
antics of her brother and Bens' being injured again! Jess walked in and
was upset that no one bothered to let her know that her new step dad was
also her 'half-uncle'! 

DEMON SEED

Starr screamed at Todd to get her mother out of jail! He had made a mess
out of everything! Mom had promised her a baby brother, and she went over
and kicked him in the leg! He said that Max was the one who ruined
things, but then agreed to try to fix it. He left her with the nanny and
she sat at his desk and swore that she would fix Max!

DORIAN'S

Blair was out for Todd's blood but Kelly nixed the idea. Blair was to be
a perfect angel, she needed to get any possible jury over to her side!
Kelly advised her to trust in her lawyer Sam! She would testify that
Blair hadn't been 'herself' the night of the shooting! In spite of the
odds against an insanity plea working, Blair determined to begin by
convincing all of Llanview that she was certifiable!

LLANFAIR

Viki explained that Ben's paternity had been his secret to tell, not
hers. Yes, she had married their own dad's half-brother! Suddenly, two
huge men burst into the kitchen and asked Ben if he were 'Davidson'! He
was, and they were 'trespassers' who must leave! They told him they had
been hired by Asa Buchanan to protect him! Was this Asa's way of trying
to make peace in the family!

PRISON, ASA?

Max was going to remain at the house with Asa, at his age, he surely
didn't want to go to prison! Besides, Max still had real feelings for him
and he promised Asa would come to like his being there! He would be good
for the Buchanan family, after all, he had just been awarded the
'Businessman of the Year' award. He was headed for a luncheon downtown to
accept the award.

Starr walked in and told Max that he hurt her mother and he would be very
sorry!

CRAZY LIKE A FOX

Kelly thought Blair was nuts for even attempting the insanity plea! Blair
said they ought to use the family history, it was sure to bring out
sympathy! She couldn't do the time in prison, when she got out, she would
be an old woman! Blair begged for her cooperation as Todd popped through
the sitting room doors! He proclaimed that he was going to fix
everything! Kelly told him to leave but Blair wanted to talk to him. He
didn't believe her before, but he did now! He was burying Max alive when
he confessed to everything! He had believed Max and not her, it was too
late for help from him! Hank had her clothes and Todd's statement! She
told him not to fix anything, just go away! 

LLANFAIR

Jess told Ben that although he wanted to be alone, maybe the bodyguards
weren't such a bad idea. You couldn't always do things alone, even when
you wanted to, he had shown her that! Asa must be trying to mend fences!
Viki had a meeting at the Banner to attend and Jess wanted to raid the
attic for her and Will's loft. She wanted her mom to be safe, so maybe
Ben would give the bodyguards some thought. She had phoned her father and
he had told Ben to call at anytime if he had any questions! The two large
men made a sudden reentry holding an 'intruder', who was Gina Russo!

HOME SWEET HOME?

Starr kicked Max and wanted to know why he had messed up her mom and dad!
Max called on Nigel to remove 'Miss Starr' and drive her home but she
threatened to tell Nigel's 'secret' if he laid a finger on her! She then
ran back to Max, hugging his waist, and pretending to sob as she
apologized for kicking him! 

POLICE STATION

Todd told Hank that he may be suffering from memory trouble. He may have
been a bit mixed up when he gave his statement, especially the part about
Blair! It sounded as though Todd wanted to change his statement. Hank
said he had motive, means and opportunity, he really didn't need him! If
Todd retracted his statement, he would throw the book at him! Todd
overheard a cop who was going off-duty. He quickly followed him! 

LLANFAIR

Ben told the men to let Gina go, that she was an old family friend! He
told Jess he needed to take care of this problem right away and escorted
the men out! Left alone with Gina, Jess asked if she was okay and they
introduced themselves. 

HOME SWEET HOME?

Starr told Max that sometimes she opened her mouth and the wrong things
just came out on their own! She was scared that bad things were going to
happen! He assured her that everything would turn out okay and headed out
of the room. Starr smiled as she opened the wallet she had just retrieved
from his pocket and lifted one of his credit cards!

DORIAN'S

Blair told Kelly she was going the with 'crazy' plan. Maybe their history
of familial mental illness would pay off in the end! Blair really 'had'
seen red, she had gone a little crazy, it was true! Suddenly Kelly's face
was alight, she knew exactly what to do!

LLANFAIR

Jess brought a box down from the attic. Gina told her she had known Ben
for a long time but never seen him so happy! Gina asked if she could help
her move and Jess took her up on the offer. Viki phoned and Jess gave her
the newest developments! Viki realized that Jess was alone in the house
with Gina, and asked her to wait there until she got home. She began to
run a 'search' on the computer concerning Gina! Gina returned with the
boxes and wondered how her mother handled all the threats! She mustn't be
very happy about the danger to Ben's life! Jess appeared a bit puzzled
but assured Gina that her mother had been through many bad times and
could handle almost anything!

FINAL MOMENTS...

Asa bellowed for Nigel and instead, Ben entered the room...

Starr sat in her daddy's chair as she ordered thousands of dollars worth
of dolls on Max's, or 'Maxine's' platinum credit card!

Kelly phoned Max and told him that Blair was going to crash the luncheon!
She had been rambling on about how much she loved him. Max asked her to
try to keep Blair away but Kelly didn't think she would be able to do
that!

Todd came out of the personnel office at the police station dressed to
the teeth in Llanview's finest uniform, complete with hat and shades!
