FOXY ROXY'S HAIR HAVEN: THE DEN OF LIONS
We open with Natalie sadly listening to Al speak to heartbroken lovers over the airwaves, while Roxy squawks out a tune as she enters the room. She jumps up and lets out a frightened squeal as she spots Natalie. Hey, I thought you were spending the day with Mickey Angelo? Natalie sadly tells her that he had things to do. Yeah right, Roxy says, at midnight? Who's he doing it with? Or better yet, who's he doing it to?
Flash over to Cris...
He's engaged in a meeting with Cole and Rex at the Palace. Cole is feeling Cris out, throwing implications around that he's not too sure that he can trust Cris with his info. He's the brother of a cop, the fiancé of the granddaughter and sister of the woman who is in charge of the place they want to hit. Cris summarizes a defense by saying that his brother never did anything for him and Jessica won't be a problem. Cole is satisfied for the moment, and he goes into details about the role Cris would be playing, should he be hired. Cris listens as Cole tells him that he would basically be meeting Cole at a designated location with the engine running. He would drop him off after the job is done, get his cut, and take a hike...period.
Cris probes Cole for more info. How many others are involved? Cole tries to dismiss his questions, but Cris adamantly informs Cole that there are two things on which he wants clarity. He wants to know how many people are involved because he doesn't want to take on anyone else's heat, and he will not be involved if anyone is going to get hurt. Cole assures him that neither of those things will happen. After a few more moments of the meeting, Cole tells Cris he'll be in touch. Rex and Cole remain behind. Rex asks Cole his opinion of Cris. Cole reminds him that he told Cris he'll be in touch, so what does that say?
Renee comes racing over to the table, demanding to know what Rex is doing there. Rex tells her to relax, he's a paying customer. Not in my facility, you aren't! Settle up, then hit the road. She storms away and Cole angrily tells Rex that he could have warned him that he wasn't welcome in the Palace before agreeing to hold their meeting there. Rex tells him that Renee is just an old grumpy battle ax, so don't worry. Cole tells Rex that having Vega's brother as their accomplice is poetic justice in his opinion, and there's no doubt in his mind that Cris is the perfect candidate.
Back at the Haven....
Natalie sits at a mirrored booth, sadly combing her hair. Roxy combs over and takes over the task. She apologizes for putting he big hoof in her mouth earlier, knowing that Natalie was feeling down already. Cris turned out not to be Mr. Perfect after all, and...
Nat interrupts her and gets out of the chair. She tells Roxy that Cris isn't cheating on her, he had things to do. Later, Cris returns, and Roxy tells hit that he never signed his work. She tells him to put his Johnny Hancock on it so they can toast to the grand opening, which is bound to be a huge success. Well time passes, and the grand opening isn't too successful. Roxy is getting edgy. Natalie walks over to a booth, and Cris comes over to her. He asks her if she's still upset about the night before, and she tells him what Nigel told her about Asa being asleep. Cris tells her that Nigel wasn't at the Mansion, so how would he know anything?
Nat smiles and feels silly at first. A few minutes later, she asks him if his errands had anything to do with the gallery. He says no, why would she ask? No reason, just something she heard. She tells him that she's going to tell Asa to stop sending Cris out on late night errands, and Cris panics, then covers up his fear by telling her not to jeopardize his job, they need the money....
Later, Roxy comes out of the office and storms across the floor. The grand opening is a bust, and she isn't too happy about it. She starts throwing things around, while Natalie tries to calm her down. Cris gets a phone call from Cole and tells him that he'll be right there. He kisses her and leaves. Roxy tells her that all of her reassuring words are not working because failure is contagious. Look, even Mickey Angelo got the drift and high-tailed it outta there in a hurry. Nat tells her that Cris had to work. Roxy ain't biting that line, and she picks up a bottle of champagne and starts to gulp it down. Nat struggles with her to drop the bottle.
THE DEVIL, THE LORDS, & THE SUPERBROOMS!
OKAAAAYYYY....Things are really heating up here, folks! Dorian went down yesterday, but is she out? Let's got to the recap.
NOPE! Not a chance! Viki and Nora rush her to the hospital. Mitch stands by the payphone from which he placed the fatal call to Llanfair, awaiting word from the sniper that the job was done. Henchman A tells him that he shouldn't stand by a payphone. Mitch snaps that he supposes he should use a cell phone that can be traced? Speaking of cell phones, his rings, and a mysterious male caller warns Mitch not to return to the lake house. He demands to know who's calling, but the caller just repeats the warning before disconnecting.
Flash over to the hospital....
Nora, Troy and Viki are outside Dorian's room, and Troy is telling them that Dorian was merely grazed by the bullet, and the women are stunned by that news. Viki asks him how can that be? She was unconscious when they found her. Troy says that she probably hit her head when she fell, but she's conscious now and she's asking for Viki. Viki goes inside and Dorian tells her that she was right about Mitch. He doesn't take kindly to betrayal. She goes on to tell Viki that the doorbell rang just before the shot came through the window....Was she the one who rang it?
Viki said she was. Dorian tells her that she turned away from the window and as a result, the gesture saved her life. No, VIKI saved her life. Thanks. Viki tells her that she's quite welcome. Now would she do something for her in return? Viki pleads with Dorian to help her stop Mitch. All it would take is her testimony, and Nora is right outside, ready to take it. Dorian hesitates, then the glow of scheme illuminates her brown eyes. She tells Viki that she's very tired at the moment, but maybe later. Viki is shocked and annoyed.
Let's "FLY" over to St. Ann's....
Loonsey is perched on a big fluffy, (or shall I say, "padded"?), sofa holding a cordless phone..Only on the soaps, people! Jen walks in and she happily greets her. How is she? Fine. You ok? Yep? You still living at the Palace? No, I'm staying at your place over at the gallery.
I thought you didn't want to stay there? Jen bursts into tears and Lindsay asks her what's wrong?
The phone rings, and she tells Jen that she's expecting Will to call. Jen tells her to answer the phone. It's Mitch. He makes a quip about St. Ann's allowing the patients to play receptionist these days, then warns her that she might want to ensure that there aren't any innocent bystanders around her. She asks him what he means, and he spells it out for her...Dorian's dead and she's Lindsay's next. Lindsay freaks out and after he hangs up, she tells Jen that she has to leave. Jen argues that she just got there, but Lindsay tells her to leave now. Get away from me! What are you staring at? GET OUT! Jen leaves, heartbroken.
Lindsay calls Llanfair and leaves a desperate message on the answering machine.
Back at the hospital, Troy comes in to check up on Dorian one last time.. He rips into her for dragging Blair into her schemes. Dorian tells him that she wants to go home, and Troy tells her NO! Nora is on her way in to ask her some questions, so get ready for them. He leaves and Dorian looks for a way out. Her opportunity arrives in the form of an orderly bearing a food tray. She bribes him into helping her escape. She dresses in green scrubs and races out, bumping into Joey on her way to the exit.
Viki runs into Joey and they exchange info on why the other is there. Joey is there to visit Flash, and he wants to know if Dorian has taken a turn for the worst. He is almost sure he saw a surgeon
coming out of her room. Troy and the women race into Dorian's room to find her gone. Troy says, "Unbelievable!", but Viki tells him that it's just Dorian being Dorian.
Flash over to Joey and Flash....
Joey is helping her celebrate her success in RJ's club. She tells him that she still can't believe how it happened. Joey tells her that she needs to get used to him raving about her talents, and just enjoy her success instead of questioning it. He goes on to tell her that he isn't going to allow her to leave the hospital only to return to her cold garage. He is giving up his bed to allow her a warm place to live until she gets back on her feet. Maybe together, they can find CJ. Flash eventually accepts the offer, and off they go.....
DR. RAE-RAY RIDES AGAIN!!
Here she comes! DUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!
You'd think that the quack has learned her lesson about sticking her nose into people's business by now...but never happen, ya hear? She again tests the waters, and she does it with the most volatile subject of psychosis to ever have been spawned. Have you guessed who that is yet?
JEN! Jen, ya hear? UGH! Okay, let's move on to the recap and we'll see what went wrong..AGAIN!
Rae arrives at the Palace Bar and tells the greeting bartender that she's supposed to be meeting someone. She sees Hank meeting with Evangeline, and a brief flash of jealousy shows its face.
She goes over to him, and he wraps up his meeting with Evangeline after introducing the ladies to each other. Rae spots Jen at the bar ordering a drink, and she stops her. She tells Jen that she's breaking the law by using a fake ID, while on probation, to buy alcohol.
She drags Jen over to Hank to prove her point. Then she tells Jen to sit down and talk to her. UH-OH! Jen gives her a sob self-pity story about no one caring about her...blah, blah, blah. Okay, somewhere down the line, Joey's name is mentioned, and Jen tells Rae-Ray that Joey is just her warden. Okay, here comes the spark that set off the flames, people.
Rae tells Jen that she's wrong about Joey. Joey is a very caring man, and he has to remain professional because he's counseling her, but he always talks to Rae about how much he cares about Jen. Really? Jen says, her face lighting up. Rae says, really. Jen excuses herself and jets off.
Flash and Joey are in Joey's room. He tells her to rest and get her strength back. He leaves Flash, and she goes to sleep. Not for long! Jen comes in and snatches the covers off the girl. She screams out that she can't believe that she's sleeping in Joey's bed after all that Jen has told her about him risking being fired from his pastoral duties. Flash is trying to shed her sleepy state and fend off the psycho-brat at the same time. She groggily tells Jen that Joey brought her there. Jen says sure he did, and runs the girl off.
Later, Joey returns to check on her, and finds a note from Flash telling him that she cannot oust him from his bed, so she'll be staying with friends for a while. Don't worry, they heat and nd running water. Joey sighs in frustration, and undresses for bed. As he sleeps, Jen sneaks her way into his room, and stands over him, with a look on her face that resembles a dog watching the dinner table.
Back at St. Ann's.....
Dorian calls out Lindsay's name, and Lindsay races over to hug her. She's so glad to see her. Mitch called and told her that he'd killed Dorian. Dorian assures her that he didn't succeed. She is dressed in a white doctor's coat, glasses, and holding a clipboard. She briefly summarizes the events that took place at the hospital, and Lindsay asks her if the outfit she's wearing now is what she used to escape Llanview General. Dorian tells her that she used a different outfit for that task. No, this outfit has a different purpose.
How do you do, Mrs. Rappaport? I'm Dr. Richman. You are being released into my care today for further testing. Lindsay smiles as she catches on to Dorian's plot. Dorian asks Loonsey if she's okay with leaving, and Lindsay tells her that she has to leave...Mitch knows she's here!
Dorian tells Lindsay not to worry about Mitch....Today is the day that Mitch Lawrence gets exactly what's coming to him!
