LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER: NOT GUILTY, YOUR HONOR!

We open with Blair sitting on the opposite side of the courtroom from Nora and Bo. The judge grants her bail of $100,000, and Nora tells Bo that he can't be surprised she made bail since neither of them believe she killed Sam. Bo tells her that the arrest was just a front. In lieu of the evidence they had, he couldn't just ignore it. Nora says the evidence was ambiguous at best, and even the judge thought so. Bo tells her that it doesn't prove Blair innocent, and besides, the arrest
could work in their favor. Nora really would like to know how. He tells her that it could help them flush out the real killer, who would be....

SUPERBROOM FLIGHT# 67543–PREPARED FOR TAKE-OFF!!

LOOOONNNSEEEYYY!! She's not preparing for take-off, this baby's GONE!

She is standing in her robe, staring off into space. Will come into the room and asks her if he was able to get any sleep at all last night. She said she managed to get a little. She tells Will that she's glad he's here, she doesn't think she could have survived this without him.

(I agree! Who else but Will would be so willing to cover up his wacko mother's crimes?)

He tells her that he will have to get back soon, but he promises not to leave until Todd is brought in and made to pay for his crime against Sam. Jen enters, telling them that Todd didn't do it...
(she slams a newspaper down on the table), his ex-wife did.

Sam's ghost appears behind Loonsey, demanding to know what she's planning to do to rectify that situation. Lindsay turns to him and asks him what can she do? Her children ask her who she's talking to, and she says she's talking to herself. The Superbroom Brats tell her that they're really worried about her, and they've decided that she should see a doctor.

(Preferably one who is of the psychiatric repair persuasion, and one who doesn't bear the last name "Cummings"!)

Sam's ghost appears once again, standing silently between the two children, and Lindsay stares at him, absent-mindedly replying that she agrees with them. They hesitantly accept her word, and say that at least they know who did it, and it's only a matter of time before Blair is brought to justice. Lindsay tells her children that she needs some time alone. They agree, with Will saying that he doesn't have to leave until tomorrow, but he'll take on the packing project now. Jen follows her brother, telling Lindsay to think hard about seeing that doctor.

They leave, and Lindsay heads into her bedroom, only to find Sam's ghost lingering there. He tells her that he can understand her wanting to be alone. It must be hell trying to face the kids. She tells him it has nothing to do with facing the kids. She sits down at her desk and slowly picks up a pair of scissors, saying, "I just need to be alone for what I'm about to do."

BATTLEGROUND LLANFAIR: LORD VS. THE DEVIL!

Piper? Phoebe? Prue? Where are you? We have innocents to save here! It's going to take The Charmed Ones to win this battle!

Let's start off with the Buchanan-Davidson clan. Okay. Viki is sitting at her desk, looking over the affidavit pertaining to the battle for the assets. Jessica stands a few feet away from her mother, noticing the worry that Viki's suffering. She tells Viki that she hates to see her this way. Viki tells her that considering today could mean that Llanfair goes to Mitch along with everything else, that's the best she can do.

Jess tells Viki that the will isn't worth the paper it's written on. Viki tells her that she filed for a continuance, considering that Todd was gone, but the judge wouldn't grant it. However, if he grants Mitch his wish, Mitch will get EVERYTHING. The phone rings, and Viki picks up. It's Mitch. He says "Good morning, Victoria", and she hangs up on him. Jess asks who called. She says nobody.

Flash over to Mitch, who's accompanied by his snotty attorney....

He hangs up and saying in amusement, "Well! That was rude!" Evangeline tells him that he can't blame her. After all, he's about to take away a majority of her assets. Mitch asks her if she's getting an attack of conscience. She tells him that her clients' needs come first and last. For instance, if Blair were her client, she would have had the charges dropped before the DA could blink. Mitch asks her if she believes that Blair didn't do it. Does he? Evangeline counters. Mitch grins, (ICK!), and tells her that he can't even begin to imagine who it might have been. However, he does remember Sam having a nasty temper. Surely he might have had a whole list of enemies because of it?

Evangeline tells him that Sam was widely known and highly respected, which makes this a high-profile case. If Blair didn't do it, then it won't be long before the police find out who did. Mitch says: "One can only hope."

LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER: PT. 2:

Blair confronts Nora and Bo. She tells them that she's innocent, you know. Everything I said about Mitch putting Todd in Victor's coffin was true. Bo sarcastically tells her that Todd wasn't in there. Blair, in an angry but desperate tone, tells him that only means he somehow managed to escape and is on the run. Nora stays silent as Bo and Blair battle it out. Bo goes on to tell her that if she would stop withholding information, she wouldn't be facing murder charges right now. Blair adamantly screams that SHE'S NOT! Nora looks at her strangely, as if Blair's desperate insistence that she's telling the truth convinced her. She turns away, picking up her files to avoid looking at Blair.

Blair turns to Nora and asks her if she's coming down on her because Troy was in her room that night. Nora tries to tell Blair that Troy has nothing to do with the case, he's free to do what he will, but Blair cuts her off and says that she doesn't care what Nora's motives are. All she knows is that they're letting Sam's killer go free. She knows it sounds crazy, since Sam had little to do with Mitch Lawrence, but Bo should be investigating Mitch instead of wasting time arresting her. She tells Nora that they've known each other for a long time, and she can't believe that Nora is okay with things the way they are. Then she storms off.

Nora turns to Bo, angry as hell, and tells him that she most definitely is NOT okay with this! She storms off.

BATTLEGROUND LLANFAIR: THE WAR IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

Again, I page THE CHARMED ONES! In the hall outside the courtroom, Mitch calls Lindsay. He tells her voicemail that he hopes she's not out doing something stupid, as usual. Evangeline steps up behind him just as he hangs up and advises him that it's time to go inside.

Blair comes out from inside the courtroom...

(PAUSE! Is it me, or does there seem to be only ONE courtroom that handles every category of the law in this town? Where I come from, civil cases, family cases and criminal cases are all separate, and usually in different buildings. It seems that only three judges exist here, too. Fitzy, Judge Lee, and this fool that is about to preside over the probate hearing. JEEZ, writers! A little variety here! I've been seeing the same judges for so long, I can write their biographies without interviewing them personally! Okay, I'm done, let's move on.)

Blair demands to know where Todd is, and what has he done to him? Mitch smugly replies that he hasn't done anything to him except take him for everything he's worth. Blair tells him that he's not getting away with this. They part ways, and Mitch follows his attorney inside.

Viki and Jess arrive, and as he does so well, he softens at the sight of his daughter and says:
"Jessica, I didn't know you'd be here." Jess snaps that she's there to support her family. He tells her that he hopes she knows that includes him. She tells him that she already told him that no matter what he takes from them, he'll always be alone.
She walks with her mother to the other side of the courtroom. The hearing begins, and Judge Grafton, the fool, grants all assets to Mitch. Viki listens to the ruling as if the wind had been knocked out of her, and Jessica stands up and blasts the judge for his decision. As usual, the judge threatens her with contempt of court if she doesn't shut up, and then they stand up to leave. Viki notices the glances exchanges between Mitch and the fool, and she turns to leave, stopping to turn and face a smug Mitch one last time.

Back at Llanfair, Joey, Viki and Jess decide to spend their last night in their home as a family, with not a single word to be uttered about the despicable piece of trash that did this to them.

Back at the courtoom, Mitch places a call to a mystery woman....(Mystery, my foot! WE ALL KNOW IT'S DORIAN!!), telling her that it's done. The Lord fortune is in my hands!

REVEREND JOEY & FLASH:

Flash sits on a crate in some abandoned place, and Joey enters through a sheet of plastic. He asks her how she's doing, and she asks him if he means since he found her crying in that seedy motel room. What was she doing there? Joey asks. You're the genius, Rev, you tell me.
He tells her that he believes she was there to sell her body for money, just as she was back at the Palace. Off-camera, he gives her a speech about having more pride in herself, or something. When the show resumes, he re-enters with a box of pizza, and she tells him she's not hungry. It's there when you're ready for it. He asks her if she's thought about what he told her. She snaps: About there being better ways to live than to sell myself for money? I'm not stupid, you know!

You're far from it! You're beautiful, and talented, and....
Leave me alone, Rev! Can't you see I don't want your help? I just want to find CJ. We love each other, that's all that matters. If that's true, then why isn't he looking for you? Joey says. How do you know he isn't? Flash responds. He's not here with you.

And where is YOUR wife, hm? Oh, YEAH...she dumped you for your BROTHER! Joey storms off in anger. She feels guilty and follows him, apologizing for her words and lifting his wallet as they hug.

Later at Llanfair, Joey discovers his wallet is missing, and he groans Flash's name. Flash is back at the abandoned spot, writing Joey a letter of apology and explaining that she has to find CJ on her own.

THE ROXY-ASA-NIGEL COMEDY ACT!

COMING SOON: ROXY'S FOXY COMEDY HAIR HAVEN!

Come in for a hairdo and comedy acts while you wait. The Tremendous Trio is sure to have you  bursting at the seams as you sit under the hair dryer of the nail dryer. Asa Buchanan, his endeared and loyal employee, Nigel, and Riotous Roxy Balsam have joined forces in a business that will be the only of its kind. Need a few previews? Let's go to the recap!

Did you like my ad? It's what I felt when I watched these three comedians in action. We begin Roxy's stint by watching her flirt with a construction worker. She stands in her most seductive fashion, (by Roxy's standard, anyway!), and tells the man not to touch the wall that Cris is going to paint. The worker tells her that he'll do whatever she says, as long as Asa keeps signing the checks. Roxy assures him that she has the proof right with her.

Enter Nigel, and she asks him what the hell he's doing there. Nigel, with that ever-famous Maalox look on his face, tells her that Mr. Buchanan is in a meeting, and he instructed Nigel to come over and supervise. Roxy tells him that he has no say on the matter, it's her business, and what the hell does a butler know about decorating anyway? Nigel dismisses her remark, saying that he'll assume that was a rhetorical question. Then he informs her that he indeed does have a say, as a matter of fact, it's a clause in her contract. He refers to the document as proof, and she snatches it away from him to read it, although she can't make heads or tails of anything in it.

They argue over choice of colors, and over changing the name of the salon, and halfway through the ruckus, Asa appears. He comes in, wearing a painted grin that reminds me of Ralph Kramden when he was trying to hide the fact that his back was out, and tells Nigel that he oughtta ring his damned neck.

Why, sir? Asa shows him a cigarette burn hole in his hat. One he discovered as he was in the middle of dinner with a big Japanese investor. He tells Nigel that if he doesn't quit smoking, the whole beauty salon deal is off! Roxy freaks. That ain't fair! I don't smoke, why punish me? It's all the same to me. Nigel wants to be involved in this business, so he either quits, or it's a no-go.

Roxy, in her panic, comes up with a brilliant idea...for Roxy anyway....HYPNOSIS!

Folks, if you ever wanted funny in Llanview, today was it! Roxy pulls out a piece of jewelry on a chain and starts hypnotizing Nigel as Asa looks on. Asa actually starts to get drowsy, then snaps out of it. Nigel appears to have gone under, and Roxy plants a suggestive command in his mind. Cigarettes make me sick, I never want to smoke again. Nigel appears to have accepted the hypnosis, and she commands him to snap to.

He does, and Roxy anxiously asks him how he feels. Nigel, appearing to still be drowsy, says:

"AAAAH, I feel wonderful! I feel like...like...like...SMOKING!" Roxy fumbles to get the pack of cigarettes away from him and drags him out the door to Atlantic City, to see the real hypnotist...The Great Mysterio!

AND NOW...THE FINAL ACTS!

LLANVIEW'S LAW & ORDER: CONNECT THE DOTS!

Nora had stormed off to Carlotta's diner, slamming her briefcase down on the table and rubbing her aching temples. Bo enters shortly after, and Nora demands for him to explain how putting Blair through this unnecessary stress helps their case.

Bo tells her that if Todd DID shoot Sam, he'll want to return to clear her. And if he didn't do it?
Nora prompts. Then the real killer will get comfortable and slip up. Gabrielle enters and hurries over to Bo. She hands him an envelope, saying that it was slipped under their door a little while ago. Bo opens the envelope and pulls out a card with several cut-out letters pasted to it. The pasted-on message that says: "Blair is innocent, drop the charges". Bo shows the note to Nora, and they decide to put their heads together and get to the bottom of things. Bo asks Gabby if she saw anybody or anything that can be linked to the letter. Gabby says no, nothing. She excuses herself so Bo and Nora can get back to business.

They sit down in their thinking chairs, (Ha-ha! Sorry, had a little "Blue's Clues" flash.), and start putting all that they have together. First of all, if things went down the way Troy and Blair says it did, then Blair was so drunk she passed out, and Troy got called away to the hospital, Bo says.

And the killer wouldn't have known that Blair passed out, Nora adds.

At that point, the Rappa-Brats enter, and Bo and Nora are distracted. Blair enters shortly after and Will goes for her throat, (with words, people, don't get excited!). He tells her that she won't get away with murdering his dad, and he hopes they bury her. Blair tries to assure him in the midst of all the yelling that she didn't do it, but Will continues to scream then runs off. Blair tries to appeal to Jen. She swears to Jen, on her life and the life of her children that she didn't do it. Jen stares at her for a few seconds, then she runs off.

Nora turns to Bo and tells him that this ain't right. Blair didn't do this, and we have to find out who did. Bo tells her that there are a few possibilities here. Either the Mannings are in this together and they're covering for each other, or they're in it together, OR, someone else did this.

Which is what they have to figure out. Bo continues. The room was dark, so whoever shot Sam couldn't tell who was there. Nora's head shoots up from their position in her hands. Someone followed him there. Why would she think that? Bo asks. Because it's the only way they would have known where he was.

Now, who would follow him all the way up to Blair's bedroom to kill hi...Nora's eyes widen with terrified realization. The killer wasn't aiming for Sam. They were aiming for TROY!

BRILLIANT, COUNSELOR!

Now, things are forming a clearer picture. Who hated Troy enough to want to kill him?

Now, Bo AND Nora have eyes widened with realization.

Flash over to Superbroom Headquarters, Lindsay steps into her place calling out for Sam's ghost.
(She swapped the Book of Shadows for the Summoning the Dead Spell!)

She tells him that she gave Bo the note, isn't that what he wanted her to do? Sam?

Sam appears, and she tearfully tells him that she's sorry. She's sooooo sorry!

(Yeah, yeah. That's her most famous hit! It sold 1,000,000 copies last year!)

Sam says he knows she's sorry, but sorry is not good enough. She knows what she has to do!

Flash back to the diner...

Bo tells Nora, "It has to be Lindsay."

Stay tuned for the next episode of Showdowns in Llanview!
