Llanview Courthouse

Natalie stands before Cristian in the hallway outside the courtroom, still insisting that she slept with Mitch. She is determined to go through with her plan and tells Cristian she is going to testify before the judge, so that she can take Mitch for everything she can get. Cristian objects and Natalie tells him she knew he would have trouble dealing with her having slept with Mitch, which is why she did not tell him in the first place. Jessica arrives and Natalie is upset that she even showed up at all. Natalie asks her what she is doing there? She walks away. Jessica follows her. Jen comes in looking for her dad. She asks Cristian if he has seen him. Cristian asks her if she has talked to her mom, realizing she doesn’t know about her father being shot and killed. Jen tells him she hasn’t talked to her mom and she asks him why and he tells her to go find her mom right away. Jen leaves a bit confused.

Lindsay’s Art Gallery

Lindsay goes ballistic when she sees Mitch standing in her doorway. She falls apart while telling him that she shot the wrong man. She tells him it was supposed to be Troy. She asks him how she is ever going to tell her children. Mitch tries to tell her that everything will be all right if she just pulls herself together and keeps her mouth shut. She is on the verge of losing it! She becomes hysterical as Mitch tries to calm her down. Lindsay tells him he doesn’t understand and tells him she needs to tell the police everything.

Llanfair

Blair shows up on Viki’s doorstep looking for Todd. Viki asks her if she really thinks Todd shot and killed Sam. Blair does not answer.

Bo’s office

Nora and Bo continue to hash out the events surrounding Sam’s shooting. They realize that everything fits together too conveniently. Hank walks in telling them that he has a confession.

Palace Restaurant/Bar

Roxy sits at the bar drinking. She tells Rex she is about to go to court to testify on Natalie’s behalf. She tells Rex that Natalie is going to testify in court that she slept with Mitch. Rex can’t believe his ears. Then he realizes what Roxy is up to and asks her how much she is hitting Natalie up for, in return for her testimony.

Across the bar, Asa bellows at the waiter to bring him some champagne. Renee stops his tirade and he tells her he is celebrating because Rae has finally agreed to give him a divorce and she doesn’t want a penny. Rae walks in and realizes Asa must have told Renee.

Bo’s office

As Bo reads a typed confession out loud, it becomes too apparent that it is supposedly from Todd. Bo tells Hank it is typed and not signed. He asks Hank where he found the confession? Hank tells Bo they found it in Todd’s office. Nora tears it apart. She tells them it is too easy and it doesn’t fit. Nora asks Bo if he is going to go talk to Viki. Hank leaves and Bo grabs his coat. Bo asks her if she is coming with him and she tells him she is going home to see Matthew. Bo wonders if Todd is covering for someone or if someone is framing him?

Lindsay’s Art Gallery

Lindsay continues to cry hysterically that it was supposed to be Troy. She tells Mitch she isn’t going to prison. He tells her to get herself together or she will and Jen will hate her forever. He tells her that all of the evidence points to Todd Manning. He tells her Todd does not have an alibi and he has left Llanview permanently. Jen calls out to her mom. She freaks out when she finds Mitch with Lindsay. Jen kicks Mitch out. Lindsay tells Jen that her father was shot last night and he is dead. Jen falls apart half in disbelief and half in pain. She keeps asking Lindsay why someone would shoot him. Lindsay tells her that the police think it was Todd Manning.

Llanfair

Bo arrives and asks Viki if she knows where Todd is and she asks Bo if Todd is a suspect? Blair screams out “NO!” as she stands behind them. She tells Bo that Todd did not do this.

(Our local network interrupted our episode here to tell us it is snowing! Duh! Are we that stew-pid, we can’t figure that out ourselves? Denver Metro area is all shut down and no one is moving anywhere. But I guess we needed our local news anchors to tell us! Oh, Gee Thanks!)

Moving on… we pick up once again at Llanfair. . .

Llanfair

Viki tells Bo that Todd wanted to shoot Mitch Laurence and couldn’t do it and she knows there is no way that he would be able to shoot and kill Sam. Viki leaves to go to the courthouse. Bo tells Blair about a confession they found. She tells him there is no way he wrote it and she also adds that maybe he was forced to write it. Bo asks her if Todd was trying to protect someone.

Lindsay’s Art Gallery

Jen tries desperately to figure out why someone would hate her father so much they would kill him. She jumps up and tells Lindsay she needs to see him. She asks Lindsay where he is. Lindsay doesn’t know. Jen screams at her and asks her why she doesn’t want to see him.

Llanview courthouse

Natalie is sworn in and Mitch’s lawyer asks her about her new claim that her marriage to Mitch was consummated in Las Vegas. She asks Natalie about the hotel room. She asks Natalie if they were naked? She asks Natalie if they showered together after the made love? Cristian gets up and walks out. Natalie answers yes to all of her questions. Then the lawyer asks Natalie about a tattoo on Mitch’s body. She suggests to Natalie that if she made love and showered with her husband she would know about this tattoo. She

asks Natalie to describe it. Unbeknownst to Natalie, Mitch’s lawyer is

leading her through an enormous ruse and Natalie is unwittingly allowing it to happen.

Llanview police station

Jen and Lindsay arrive. Bo walks over to them and offers his condolences to Jen. She tells Bo she wants to see her dad. Bo asks her if it wouldn’t be better to wait until he goes over to the funeral home. Jen disagrees with Bo and tells him she needs to see him right now. Bo agrees. Jen and Bo walk away and Lindsay just stands there. Bo turns around and calls out to her. Lindsay joins them, torn apart in her own hell.

Llanview courtroom

As the lawyer tells Natalie about the tattoo, she suggests to her that it is a cross. She asks Natalie where it is on his body. She tells Natalie that she has a 50/50 chance of getting it right. Roxy busts in the doors and Judge Fitzwater orders Roxy to sit down and keep quiet. Natalie tells the court that the tattoo is on his left side. Mitch’s lawyer finally serves her final ace, to win the game, set and match! She tells the court that Mitch has no such tattoo anywhere on his body! (Way to go Natty!!!) Mitch’ s lawyer asks the judge to render summary judgment in favor of her client. Judge Fitzwater orders the bailiff to take Mitch in her chambers and examine him. Then she turns to Natalie and asks her unless she willing to settle for the annulment, right here and now, the bailiff will examine Mitch in her chambers. Natalie doesn’t answer.

Llanview police station

Down in the morgue Bo asks Jen if she is ready. She tells Bo she needs to do this. He pulls back the sheet covering Sam’s body. Jen is startled at

first and whispers “daddy” under her breath as Lindsay almost collapses at

the sight of him. Jen reflects on her future without her dad, her wedding, her children, and she tells him she is going to make him proud. She tells him she loves him. She bends down to kiss him. Lindsay turns around and a hand grabs her shoulder. She turns back around and it is a very dead-looking Sam staring back at her. When she finally gains her senses, she realizes it is Jen. Bo asks Lindsay if she is ok? She tells them to get her out of there.

Llanview courtroom

The judge asks Natalie once again if she will accept the annulment. Natalie agrees and starts to get up. Judge Fitzwater blasts Natalie for lying under oath. Viki tries to raise an objection and the judge literally tells her to shut up as well. Judge Fitzwater orders Natalie to pay all of the court costs for lying to the court.

Llanview police station

Bo tells Nora about his encounter with Jen and Lindsay. He tells Nora that Lindsay was more upset than Jen. He tells her that he finds that very odd. Nora however disagrees. Sam was the father of her children and it would be understandable for Lindsay to be more upset.

Troy’s loft

Blair tells Troy that Mitch Laurence killed Sam and she also fills him in on her phone call with Mitch. She tells Troy that Mitch threatened her and her children. Troy tells her she must go to the police, but out of fear for her children’s safety, she refuses. He asks her if she has any idea where Todd is and she speculates that Todd must think she shot Sam and is covering for her. Blair calls Cassie to make sure her kids are safe. Troy tells Blair they need to go to the police and she refuses again.

Llanview courtroom

Mitch asks Jessica if he can have a word with her. Jessica tells him not now, not ever. He gloats about his victory in court and Viki looks on with extreme loathing for him. He offers to pay for the court costs, which leads to a heated argument over the Lord fortune.

Palace Restaurant/Bar

Roxy comes in all bummed that Natalie didn’t come through for her. Rex sends her over to Asa. He tells her to get lost.

Llanview police station

Back in the morgue, Nora tells Sam she doesn’t know how to say good-bye. She tells him of her heartache, which probably will never go away. She tells him about Matthew and she promises to take care of him forever and treasure him always.

Lindsay’s Art Gallery

Jen tells Lindsay she is so sorry for trying to find her father because she thought Lindsay was going to commit suicide. Lindsay tells her that is what she should have done is kill herself, confusing Jen even more with her comment.

Llanview police station

Bo asks Nora if she is all right. She tells him she doesn’t want to talk about it right now. Bo asks her why Blair would shoot Sam? Nora brings up Blair shooting Max. Hank comes in with the forensics report only to find there was one set of prints on the gun…they are Blair’s.

Llanview courtroom

Blair arrives and finds Mitch in the courtroom. She screams at him for shooting Sam and blasts him for trying to intimidate her! She tells him to think again before threatening her. . .
