The whole town's gone mad, people! Is there no end to the FREAKS in this town?
SHOWDOWN IN THE LAW, WITH NO ORDER!
We open in Bo's office. The DA's, RJ and Antonio are gathered. RJ is screaming that the three ladies in his life are gone, and it's all Antonio's fault. He screams out that he slept with Liz and made Keri so desperate to get away that she boarded a fateful flight. He put pressure on Liz with a restraining order, and now he's lost his daughter and a granddaughter he barely got to know, and it's all because of....
"NOOOOOOOOO!!" Antonio suddenly shouts as he charges toward RJ, "She can't be dead! She can't be dead!" Hank and Nora struggle to restrain Antonio, as a shocked RJ looks on. RJ recovers from his temporary shock, then continues to hurl his accusations at Antonio. Hank tells RJ that Antonio can't be blamed for what's happened. RJ tells him PEOPLE happen! People like Antonio and Hank. He lost a great many years with Keri because of Hank..
Antonio chimes in that he never even got the chance to gt to know his daughter either, and RJ seems to soften somewhat. He quietly tells them that he's planning a memorial, and Antonio blurts out that Keri isn't dead. There could still be survivors. RJ tells him that he's been to the crash site, and it's nothing but a big black burn hole. The two men exchange some more words, and Hank and Nora try to intervene. They tell RJ that everyone in the room loved Keri, and RJ storms off after blurting out that only one of the members of the room is responsible for killing her. Antonio storms out a few seconds later, rushing right past Bo, ignoring his call.
Hank and Nora tell Bo to let Antonio go, he's just received the worst news a man can get. They tell Bo off-screen, and Bo offers his sympathies. He tells Hank to let him know if there's anything he can do. Hank says he refuses to think about it, because he would want to know why. Why do good people die and the scum of the earth go free? Mitch Lawrence, for example. Nora says no matter how they try, they can't seem to touch him. Bo tells them that he doesn't want to get either of their hopes up, but he got a hold of Mitch's phone records, and he's made 3 phone calls to a 310 area code. Nora says, "Los Angeles?"
Flash over to a Latino bar, we find a guilt-ridden, tormented Antonio standing in the center of the floor. He is staring into space, flashbacks of his earlier days with Keri dancing before him.
LOONVIEW TEEN BEAT: SEX, DRUGS & FAILURE THEY BRING:
SEX & DRUGS:
Rex annoys Al in a bar, enough to make Al walk away. Rex saunters over to the bar and orders a drink. The bartender orders some identification, and Rex tells him that he forgot it, but he is 21. The bartender refuses to serve him and walks away. Rex cops a discarded drink from the bar and some money sitting beside it. Jen slips up him and says: "Nice move." He asks her if she plans to rat him out, and she says no. As a matter of fact, the next round is on her. She, too, swipes some money from on the top of the bar and heads over to the bartender. She orders two beers, handing one to Rex. She tells him that the naughty deed gave her a rush, and she's considering repeating the crime.
She goes on to tell Rex that she needs money, too. She's moving out of Cris' loft and getting her own place. (Hint, hint.)
DRUGS:
Al, who has escaped to the dart board, throws darts furiously. (He's not bad at it, either!)
Marcie comes up behind him and says that if he spent as much time studying as he does playing, he wouldn't need a tutor.
Who says he needs a tutor? Al quips. His parents do. They hired her to tutor him in his studies. Al says he has picked up in his studies, so she can take off. Marcie tells him no can do. She was paid up front by his mom, but his dad agrees with her. Al tries to blow her off, but she is going nowhere. Finally, Marcie tells him that if he passed his midterm, she'll refund his mom's money and back off, but if he failed, they start studying. Deal? Al gives in.
Marcie spots Jen across the room, and heads over to talk to her. She tells Jen that she's worried about her association with Rex. She begs Jen to let Rex go. Jen snaps at her and tells her to stop following her around. If she wants them to remain friends, then Marcie needs to give her some space. Marcie begs off, and warns Jen to be careful.
Flash back over to Al, he's popping speed. Rex come up and tells Al, (who is totally soaring from the drugs), "I thought those were just for studying?"
Al, talking rapidly and bouncing around like a ball, tells him that they are, but what good is staying alert for studies if he is tired when he isn't studying. He takes off, bumping into Marcie. Marcie tells him that he failed his test, so let's get to studying. He tells her that he has some business to take care of right away, so he can't now. She says tomorrow, then. Don't forget.
THE LOONS, THE GOONS, AND THE DEMON: CONSPIRACIES IN PROGRESS!
The Goons:
Or shall I say, the Addams Family?
Blair returns home from her rendezvous with Troy. Just as she's about to turn her key in the door, Todd emerges from behind a bush and tells her that they need to talk. She tells him that they never talk, they fight, and she is not in the mood to fight with him. She turns to walk in the house, and he follows her. He tells her that they WILL talk, because they have to discuss what to do about the children. Blair tells him it's too late.
(I want to screeeeeaaaammmm, people! But the darned writers will NOT listen. Child pawning!)
Todd tells her that he's not angry with her about Troy. As a matter of fact, she can sleep with the whole armed forces, (I'm paraphrasing), if she so chooses, but they have to discuss the kids. Enter Sam with papers for Blair. The two men exchange unpleasantries, and Sam informs Blair that he has the papers all ready for her to sign. As she signs, Todd yanks them away and tears them to shreds. Sam tells him that he has the template in his computer, so he'll just generate another copy.
Blair takes the copy to another room, leaving the boys to verbally duke it out. Todd tells Sam that he holds him completely responsible for all that's happened, and Sam taunts Todd with the terms of the contract. Blair gets sole custody, and if something should happen to her, then custody is transferred to Cassie. (Ha-ha! Yeah, right! Only in the soaps!)
Todd says that Sam is ticked off that Blair loves him, not Sam. He goes on to say that the biggest surprise of all is that Sam still believes he has a chance at Blair. Well, cowboy, she's moved on...to Troy MacIver. What is it with Sam losing all of his women to Troy? There's Blair, and Nora...(SLAM!) Sam rams Todd against the wall by his throat. Todd doesn't stop there. He says, oh, let's not forget about Lindsay. SLAM!
Blair returns to see the ruckus, and demand to know what's going on. Todd tells her that he and Sam were discussing old times. Blair tells Todd to get out, and he says he will, but Sam's not getting away with this. He'll come after him. Sam says: "With what? A gun? Like you did with Mitch Lawrence?"
"WHAT! You tried to go after Mitch Lawrence?" Blair says.
Todd replies, well, you know me. I'll do whatever it takes to get the job done." He leaves, and Sam tells her what Todd told him about her and Troy. She denies any intimate involvement, telling Sam that he's nothing more than a friend. She's alone now, and she likes it that way. Sam tells her to be careful of Troy nonetheless, and leaves.
Blair sadly retreats to her empty living room, punching a few pillows on the large sofa, then we see her laying on the loveseat, then she's pacing, then she pick up the phone. She calls Troy, inviting him over.
The Loon, and the Looney Demon:
Mitch and Lindsay, the psycho team!
Mitch plays mind control with Lindsay, using her insecurities and her hatred of Nora as the control keys. He tells Lindsay that she only asked for love and respect, and the people she loved most used her in the most despicable of ways. He produces a gun with a silencer and places it as bait on her gallery desk.
Lindsay stared hypnotically at the weapon, trying to fight Mitch's suggestions that those who "wronged" her should be punished. She tearfully tells him that she could never shoot anyone, she doesn't even know how to use a gun. Mitch tells her that it's simple. Pull the trigger and end her misery. He goes on. All she ever did was love Sam, and Bo, and Troy, and they used her and left her for Nora. Now, she's forced to add more pain to the pain she already has by seeing Troy in Blair's sumptuous embrace. (oh, iiiiiiccccckk!).
Lindsay is breaking under the pressure, and Mitch keeps going. He tells her that he knows she saw Todd throw the gun away, and he knows that she was tempted to retrieve it. Well, it's here now, and she can end her misery and have Todd end up holding the bag. Everyone knows what Todd is like, so it will be easy to pin the crime on him.
Lindsay deserves justice, and Troy deserves to pay...
Yes he does! Lindsay says. She reaches for the gun, and Jen walks in. She demandsss to know what Mitch is doing there, he says he's buying art. He leaves and Jen asks her mother how she can have anything to do with...
"Wait! Where did you get that gun, Mom?"
It's for protection. No, get rid of it. Lindsay is acting crazy, even for her. Jen is freaked out, even for HER. Later, Lindsay heads over to Troy's, while Jen catches up with Sam.
Troy barks at Lindsay, asking her what she's doing at his loft. She tells him that she came to give him one final chance to make things right with her. To be with her the way she knows he wants to be. He tells her he doesn't want anything to DO with her, let alone BE with her! She pleads with him not to say something he'll regret. He tells he regrets is ever meeting her. Now, if she'll excuse him, he has to leave. Lindsay asks if he's going to Blair's. He says he is, not that it's any of her business. He starts to say good night, but instead says, good-BYE, Lindsay.
She watches him walk away, and says into the air: "I warned you."
Isn't there a law against people like Loonsey and Mitch walking around free without first applying for a license to exist?
Back at the Manning Manor, Troy rings the bell. Blair invites him in, dressed in a mink coat. He enters the living room, and Blair sheds the coat. She's dressed in nothing but her underwear.
Flash back to the Loons....
Jen tells Sam about her encounter with Lindsay, Mitch and the gun. She tells Sam that she didn't buy Lindsay's protection explanation, and she fears that Looney is going after Troy.
Back at the Gallery, Lindsay is still steamed by yet another rejection. She stares at the gun, then picks it up and heads to the elevator. When the elevator doors close, Mitch steps out from behind the wall and calls Todd. He tells Todd that he wants to arrange a meeting to try and negotiate the terms of Victor's estate. Todd isn't biting. What is the real reason Mitch wants to meet?
Mitch says the reason is Jess. If he wants to have any real paternal bond with his child, he needs to make good with her family. Todd agrees. 11:00 in Vic's mausoleum, no tricks.
Mitch hangs up, saying: "Sure, Mr. Manning. No tricks, no alibi. You murderer of Troy MacIver."
