One Life to Live Recap for Tuesday, June 3, 2003

*Special note to my readers:

Before I begin my recap, I must first render an apology, an explanation, and a great big thank you to those of you who remained loyal and caring. Many of you may have known that I have been battling sickness back and forth with my children. Three of four of my children are in need of tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies. Two of my girls have undergone their surgeries, and one of them had a post-op incident which sent her back into the hospital three days after the surgery in a serious state.  Thank God, she is okay now. My two-yr-old infant is going to get his surgery date on the 27th, and I ask that all of you extend your prayers for a smooth recovery. I may be absent again while we prepare for his operation and recovery, so I warn you in advance. To those of you who shared kind words, kind thoughts, and expressed your loyalty to my work, THANK YOU, and GOD BLESS YOU ALL! You have no idea just how much your simple acts of kindness helped this nerve-wracked mother get through a very trying cycle. But in the meantime....

I'M BAAAAAACCCCKKKKK!! And I have got a lot of catching up to do! Let's get ready to rumble! Roll up your sleeves, people!

WANTED! AL HOLDEN FOR POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS–HEE-HEE!

I laugh because Al Holden has become so clean, Ajax seems like toxic waste in his presence! Way to go, writers, for pairing up Marcie and Al! I guess my constant hammering for a REFRESHING storyline has finally been answered!

Okay, okay, I'm done! Let's go.

We open in the pretend precinct, where Nora has entered and Marcie bumbles over to her to plead Al's case. She tells Nora that Al was framed ///The drugs in his room were planted. Nora tells her that all of that will come out in the investigation. Marcie is not satisfied with Nora's rehearsed response, so she looks for another soul who'll listen. She finds him, sitting at his desk. She scurries over to Antonio Vega and spills her story. Antonio abruptly stops her rambling and tells her that they are looking into the details of the case. Marcie tells him that Al didn't dare have drugs in his room.

Antonio softens as he realizes that she really cares for Al, and he asks her if she has any idea who might have been responsible for the drugs being in Al's room. She quickly and confidently replies that she does....Brad...(sorry, folks, forgot the jerk's last name.)

Anyway she continues to tell Antonio that everyone on campus knows that Brad is a drug dealer. Antonio says that he realizes that she really caresm for Al, and Marcie proudly says that she does indeed. She will not just stand back and watch Al go to jail for something he didn't do.

BATTLEGROUND LLANFAIR: THE LORDS VS. THE DEMON!

This storyline integrates a lot of the characters, folks, so bear with me as I try to bring the onscreen drama of the television to your computer screen.

Viki and Lois are re-organizing Llanfair to take back the Buchanans as its
residents. They are celebrating the overturning of Victor's will with happy small talk. Lois asks Viki if the children will be joining her. Viki says she doesn't know. She knows that Natalie is working late, and Jessie and Joe are running to the Gallery to pick up some things....

Flash over to the Gallery, Joey and Jess are getting off the elevator, with Joe bickering with his little sister that whatever she needs to get from the Gallery at this late hour could probably have waited until another time.

They enter the gallery, and Jess says... "Oh, my god!"

Flash over to Jen, who's passed out on the floor....

Flash to St. Ann's......

Loonsey has just stepped out of the shower and is about to dry her hair. She spots something strange in the mirror behind her and she turns to see what it is. She sees a doll sitting on her bedside chair. It has a very eerie face...and on the doll's lap, there's a strip of paper with the word "Jen" written on it. Lindsay screams.

Nora arrives and Lindsay hysterically screams out that Mitch killed Jen. She repeats that over and over while Nora tries to clam her down. The writers again shock us with a dose of tasteful writing as Nora hugs Lindsay in a sincere attempt to comfort her. She promises Lindsay that Jen is just fine, and the police are going to go get her and bring her back to Lindsay.

She goes on to tell Lindsay that they will have to keep her safe from Mitch. Lindsay tells Nora that she doesn't care about herself, she only cares that Jen is safe. Nora promises her that Jen will be safe.

Flash back over to the Gallery......

Jessie's scream was a reaction to seeing the gallery in a total wreck. It looks as if someone had ransacked it. Joey immediately gets worried about Jen. He knows that she stays there, and the state of the gallery makes him think that something has happened to her.

Jess tells him that he shouldn't be wasting his time trying to help Jen, especially after all that she did to him. She lied on him and almost got him kicked out of the priesthood...

(Correct me if I'm wrong, people, but isn't Joey studying to be ordained as a MINISTER? One who is allowed to have a life of the romantic nature and everything? If I recall, the first thing he said to Marcie when he arrived in own was that he can date and everything? If that's so, then he is very different from a priest! Get it right, Jess!)

Joey tells his sister that Jen told the truth in the end. Jess tells him that even so, it nearly cost him everything he worked so hard to obtain. Joey tells her that he didn't want to become a priest...(There's that word again!)
...to preach to the converted. He wanted to help people who truly needed it. People whose souls were lost, or who were on drugs, etc. Jess tells him that some people are not in trouble, some of them ARE trouble. Jen is one of them. Just recap her history. She was Ms. Sweetie Pie until she began to lose Cristian, then she went after Al, then Natalie...

(Gee, Jess...sorta sounds a lot like, er..um..hmm..I don't know... YOU, maybe? How sweet were you before you got pregnant?)

Joey tells her that just the same, he has to find her to make sure that she's okay.

Flash over to Capricorn....

RJ has just shooed Rex away from the bar, screaming that he has warned Rex before that there'll be no underage drinking in his club, and that most certainly includes Rex and his group of underage friends. After Rex saunters over to a table, RJ's cell phone rings.....

It's Keri. RJ smiles and tells her that she should be getting a package soon. She smiles and tells him that he has to stop spoiling her that way. He says it's not for her, it's for Jamie, the baby. She says the same applies to the baby. She tells him that she's been thinking a lot about her decision to stay away from Llanview. She should have given Antonio another chance. RJ isn't happy about that, and he "discreetly" hints that she shouldn't have any regrets. Shortly after their conversation ends, Antonio walks up and approaches RJ. He tells RJ that Keri left some things at his apartment and maybe RJ would like to look through them. RJ is anything but civil to Antonio, and finally Antonio snaps back. He tells RJ that it was his baby, too, and he's just as angry and hurt as RJ. Antonio's cell rings and brings the exchange to an end.

Over at the table, Rex and his buddies are being jerks as usual, and Joey comes flying over to Rex, demanding to know if he's seen Jen. Rex gives him flack about seeking out Jen, since he's already got a thing for one crazy chick. Joey rudely tells him to put a sock in his crap and tell answer his question. Jen may be in trouble, now...WHERE IS SHE?

Rex tells him that they went on a drinking spree the night before and wound up at the abandoned theater. She passed out and he left. HE LEFT HER THERE? Jeez, what a JERK! Joey dashes out the door.

Back at Llanfair....

Jess has returned, and she and Viki engage in some small talk as they head into the library. In the middle of a chuckle, Viki turns to face the mantle and she freezes in horror...Jessica's photo is gone!

Jess tries to convince her that maybe Lois removed it to clean...(PUHLEEZE!) Jess realizes that her mom believes it was Mitch. Viki tells her that maybe the message to Lindsay was only a smokescreen for...

"....The real target...me," Jess finishes.

Viki says that Mitch s unpredictable, which makes him dangerous...She is going to call Bo right this minute. It would be really nice to know where Mitch is right now, Viki says.....

Flash over to the abandoned theater...

Jen has awakened from her alcohol-induced slumber and starts to look around at her surroundings. She calls out for Rex, then is furious when she realizes the jerk dumped her and jetted. She slowly begins yet another round of re-dressing, then gathers up her purse and shoes and turns to leave. She, instead, runs smack into Mitch Lawrence!

She is freaked out and asks him what he's doing there. He tells her that it is he who should be asking what SHE is doing in an old abandoned theater
without her attire and exposing her gorgeous body. (EWWWWW!)

He looks over her body with that really gross, perverted glance and she tries to cover herself up. She asks him how does he know what her body looks like, he's blind! He says he doesn't need to be able to see to know the sweet smell of her perfume, and the lovely sound of her...oh, never mind. The truth is, he got his vision back, and now the sins of the mother will now be visited upon the daughter, and he puts his hand over her mouth and drags her away.

Stay tuned, folks!
