MANNING HOUSE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM:
Blair is staring at the television, hypnotically watching the video of Starr performing in her Christmas pageant. Todd enters with a drawing Starr made of their family, and is immediately upset to see Blair enjoying Sam's gift. He's more annoyed to discover that she's so wrapped up in the tape that she didn't hear anything he said. He walks over and snatches the TV plug out the socket, and Blair jumps up screaming at him. What's his problem? She demands to know, and he says that it's his room.
She says, "So? Does that mean I can't watch the tape of Starr's Christmas pageant?"
"I think it's the adult part of the tape he has a problem with," calls a voice from the doorway. They turn to see Sam.
(Funny, I didn't hear a doorbell or a knock. Is this defense attorney part Whitelighter, perhaps? He has the ability to orb in and out?)
Much to Todd's further frustration, Sam and Blair happily embrace. Todd grunts out a sarcastic remark, which Sam and Blair disregard, and Todd leaves when Blair tells Sam how she's been dying to have someone to talk to.
He leaves, heading straight over to Llanfair.
LOONVIEW TEEN BEAT: THE DEVIL'S OFFSPRING:
Jessica, Seth and Al face off. Seth angrily accuses Jess of trying to hide from him after all they've been through. Jessica counters with a matter-of-fact, "You lied to me, Seth."
They argue as to what his reasons were for doing so, and she tells him it doesn't matter WHY he lied, the fact is, he lied. Al intervenes, telling Seth that now isn't a good time to try to get through to Jessica, and Seth barks at him, telling him to butt out.
Jessica darts a look of disbelief in Seth's direction, and asks Al to let her and Seth talk in private. Al is hesitant, but Jess assures him that she'll be fine. When Al leaves, Seth tries to touch Jess, but she turns away from him. He is hurt, and asks her why she is acting that way toward him. She responds by telling him that he lied to her. He tells her that since she now knows the entire truth, she should understand why he didn't tell her. Her mom asked him to let her tell Jessica the truth on her own.
Jess tells him that Viki may have requested that of him, but he didn't have to honor that request. They were supposed to have a relationship in which they could tell each other anything. Why didn't he tell her?
(UMMM, maybe because it's not his place??? DUH? I'm sorry, people, but I have no sympathy for this brat. Go, Natalie!)
Seth tells her that he loves her, and he only wanted to take care of her. Surely she can see past his mistakes and trust in their love?
Jessica coldly turns to him and tells him that he doesn't get it...they're over!
(Good riddance, Seth! She's a flake!)
LLANFAIR: BATTLEFIELD# 64277
Part OneScene Two
Nora continues to emphasize the importance of Nat and Cris staying apart.
She gives them a detailed summary of the possible detriment to Natalie's case if they choose not to heed her advice. Viki and Cris agree with Nora despite Natalie's proclamations that Mitch doesn't care about the truth about her feelings for Cris, he just wants revenge.
Nora tells her that that may be the case, but as of right now, Mitch doesn't have a case, but since Natalie left him, and it's possible he may have someone following her, she needs to be careful. Natalie concedes to reason, and walks Cris to the carriage house. They head out onto the patio, only to walk straight into Jen.
(As if their day couldn't get any worse!)
Cris is annoyed, and asks Jen why she's there. Jen says she came to see Natalie. Cris tells her that now isn't a good time, but she demands to be able to have her say. Natalie tells Cris that it's okay and Jen slips into Revenge Plot Mode Level 3.
She tells Natalie that Cris confessed his feelings for her, and Nat tells her that she loves Cris, too. Jen says she knows. She tells Nat that although Natalie might think that Jen hates her, nothing could be more untrue. She told Cris that she still wants to be friends with Natalie.
(And if anyone buys THAT line of garbage, I have a bridge to sell you!)
Natalie acknowledges that Cris shared that information with her, and Jen tells her that when Nat told her in the bridal shower that she tried to fight her feelings for Cris, Jen didn't believe her. Natalie says, "No kidding."
Jen tells her that she believes her now. After all, that's why she married Mitch, right? To get over Cris? Well, after meeting Mitch, Jen says, she knows that Nat will need all of the friends she has. Natalie asks her when she met Mitch. Jen said she met him earlier that day, at the loft.
"I'm sorry, Nat," Jen says, "The guy may be your husband, but he's a creep. I was so freaked out when he showed up. Luckily for me, Cris was there to tell him off."
Cris blasts Jen for telling Natalie about the incident, but Natalie isn't dismissing the info. Why didn't Cris tell her about that? Cris says that he didn't want to worry her, and it wasn't Jen's place to do so either. Natalie asks what Mitch was doing there and Jen tells Nat he was searching for Cris. Jen gets nasty and tells Nat how proud of Cris she was for standing up to Mitch. He threatened to kill Mitch if Mitch hurt Nat.
Jen revels in Natalie's anger toward Cris for withholding the info, but her victory was short-lived, because Cris managed to get rid of her and still make up with Natalie. Nat tells Cris that Jen and Mitch may be able to stop them from being together, but she realizes that they'll never be able to stop them from loving each other.
(So THERE, Dizzy Lizzy! Kaydee sticks her tongue out.)
Part Two-Scene Two:
Back inside, Viki and Nora wrap things up on the divorce case, and Nora leaves. Viki leans against the door, exhausted no doubt, both mentally and physically, and slowly heads back inside. A knock on the door brings her back into the lobby. She opens the door for Todd, who rushes past her and tells her that she is going to have a big New Year's party. She's going to invite Sam over and spike his punch with Go-Away drops. (Hee Hee!)
Viki says she isn't in the mood to celebrate. Todd goes on and on about how Sam keeps popping up at the Penthouse, and asking for photos of Blair, and...
"What's the matter with you?" he says. Viki tells him that she's going through a lot. Todd says he noticed that. As a matter of fact, he noticed that something was up when he was there the last time, and the cops were crawling all over, and dragging some creepy man off the property.
That creepy man would be Mitch Lawrence, Viki informs him.
Todd says, Um, isn't Lawrence dead?
No, he's alive, very much so, and has been all along. He's come back to destroy my family. Noooo, to FINISH destroying my family, since he did a damned good job before he went into hiding!
Todd says, "Um, sis? What the hell are you talking about?"
Viki spills all. Jessica's paternity, Mitch's scam against Nat, and she chokes up when she starts to tell the tale of her rape. Todd's anger is mounting up, and he demands that Viki finish her sentence. Viki can't and Todd finishes it for her..Viki, did Mitch rape you? She nods.
Todd does a military-style about face and heads for the door. Viki screams out, "Todd, where are you going?"
"I'm going to kill Mitch Lawrence!"
Part ThreeScene One:
Nora steps out of Llanfair and immediately dials Troy. She is suspicious when he doesn't answer is cell phone. She says he's not at the loft, and he's not answering his phone, so where is he?
OOOH, OOOH, OOOH! I know! I know!
He's sleeping with Lindsay! (Oh, ick! Did I just say that? Barf! Gag!)
Okay, it's over now.
There wasn't any dialog to recap on this scene, folks. Just a whole lot of flashes of lovemaking scenes. Then the commercial hit, and returned, thankfully, to show them getting dressed. Troy suddenly turns to Lindsay and hands her her cell phone.
Lindsay is confused, and Troy tells her to call Nora right now and tell her what happened. Call her now or drop her threats. Lindsay tells him what he's going to do if she does. He tells her, "That depends."
"On what?"
"On whether or not you want this to happen again."
Lindsay ponders over the decision, then decides not to call her, and Troy says, "Good. We understand each other."
He leaves, stopping out in the hall and telling himself that he had to do it to keep Lindsay's mouth shut....
(Yeah, uh-huh! I still have a bridge to sell anyone who agrees with him!)
Later, as he's walking to his loft, he says an apology to Nora in the hall, and opens his door. Guess who's waiting for him inside, looking mad as hell?
