Elevator

 

Todd attempts to convince Evangeline to work with him and not Mitch but Evangeline turns him down.  He asks her to give him a copy of Victor Lords will but she tells him that it is confidential. As Evangeline exits the elevator, she tells Todd that she will enjoy bringing him down.

 

Llanview Emergency Room

 

Viki goes to Victor’s room and Mitch approaches her, asking where she’s been.  Viki asks where her father is, and wants to know if he is dead.  Mitch tells her that Victor is not dead, yet, that he is on his way to surgery.  Viki wants to know why he is smiling, after the unbelievable things Mitch did to keep him alive, Mitch tells her he is just thinking of her, Viki wants to know what he is up to now.

 

Carlotta’s Diner

 

Al tells Rex that he has to get this “stuff”, that he is on academic probation already, Rex wants to know how he let it get this far and Al tells him that he missed some classes, things happened and that he has to get a C average or he will be thrown out of Llanview University.  He wants to know where Rex’s friend is, Rex tells him that there are other ways, that he himself has a 3.2 average and Al wants to know how he did it.  Rex tells him that he just has to be creative.

 

The Vega’s home

 

Natalie and Cris are in his room making out and they discover that Carlotta is home.  Natalie tries to apologize and tells Carlotta that they didn’t know she was home.  Nat and Cris tells Carlotta that Cris will be sleeping on the sofa.  Carlotta tells them it is no problem and goes to get her things moved around in the bathroom so that Natalie will have some space.  Natalie tells her not to go to any trouble and Carlotta tells her it is no trouble and that Natalie will surely need space for all of the make-up that she wears.   Natalie tells her it will not be for long and Carlotta leaves, Cris tells Nat not to worry about it, things will get better, but Natalie is not so sure. 

 

Warehouse

 

Joey stands up for Flash confronting the boy who took her to the Palace.  Joey tells him to stay away from Flash that the last time they were together he got her drunk and tore up a hotel room then left Flash.  The guy walks away telling Joey that she isn’t worth the trouble anyway.  Flash thanks Joey for standing up for her and Joey is surprised.  He tells her that he really wants to help her and asks that she please let him.  Flash wants to know who he thinks he is some kind of miracle worker and she is his designated victim.  Joey tells her that she has a lot of potential and that he just doesn’t want her to waste it.  She tells him that  she is just fine but Joey says she isn’t, Flash wants to know if he thinks that because she is not like him with his perfect life and perfect family, Joey tries to tell her that he didn’t say that but she goes on that he is thinking it all the same.   Joey tells her that he knows this is not the life that she wants and that he knows she is running from something, and that she can’t, it will always be there, he asks her to let him help her and leaves.

 

Llanview Emergency Room

 

Troy walks up and Viki wants to know what is going on with her father, Troy tells her that they can’t find a compatible donor but that they have sent for an artificial heart.  Mitch moves towards them and asks why Viki doesn’t consider her husbands heart, that he understands that Ben is brain dead and has no use for a heart.  Viki turns and slaps Mitch. Troy tells Mitch to go away.  Troy asks Viki to sign the forms for Victor’s surgery; he leaves the papers with her and tells her that she has to make a decision soon.  Mitch walks back over and tells Viki that it is a sign from heaven, that after all Victor has done to her family; all she has to do is let him die.

 

Llanfair

 

Jessica is sitting in front of the fireplace as Joey comes in tossing his coat in an angry way.  Jessica jumps up and asks what is wrong but Joey wants to know what happened at the arraignment instead.  Jessica tells him that Mitch got out on bail and they both wonder how that could have happened.  They both are concerned for Viki and how she is dealing with Mitch and Victor.  Jessica asks Joey to let her help him that something is obviously wrong and Joey tells her that there is nothing she can do; Jessica tells him he’s right if he won’t let her help him then there is nothing she can do.  Joey tells her that he was just thinking the same thing about someone else.

 

Warehouse

 

Flash is crying and looking through her journal, as she looks through the pictures, she jumps up and rushes from the building.

 

Vega’s house

 

Cris asks Natalie if she is ok, she tells him that she doesn’t belong here and Cris tells her that she belongs with him.  Natalie looks at all of the trophies and things in Cris’ room. He tells her that his mother saved everything, that is what mothers do.  Natalie says that Jessica’s life was like that, Cris tells her that Viki would have done the same for Nat.  She picks up a picture of Cris and he tells her that he wishes that there were pictures from when Natalie was young; she says that there are no pictures or anything else, that her childhood got in Roxy’s way.  Cris tells her that they will start to make things right and that they can start by washing the blonde out of her hair, Nat tells him it was bleached and it won’t wash out.  Cris tells her that they can try, his mother is out and they have the shower to themselves.

Viki wants to know why Mitch is so anxious for Victor Lord to die, Mitch asks if that isn’t what she wants too, that Victor would have killed their daughter if it weren’t for him, and Viki tells him not to dare try to play the hero that he planned to kill Natalie for Jessica.  Mitch asks her what about her father’s asking her to choose between her daughters, Viki tells him that she didn’t have to make that choice and Mitch reminds her that she was spared that but what if she had not been, of all the despicable things her father has done, molesting her as a child, shattering her sanity, that this may have been the worst of all and that if Victor lives the abuse would continue, he tells Viki that she knows he is right.  He asks what she is waiting for, why she doesn’t just let him go or if she can’t to let Niki or Tory or one of the other alters do it, that this time no one has to smother him she just has to refuse to sign the surgery permission forms and he will die and be gone forever.  Todd runs up to Viki and tells her not to listen to Mitch, that Mitch got Victor to change his will leaving everything to Mitch, all of the money, the newspapers, the house everything would be taken away from them and their children.  He tells her that the reason he substituted Natalie for Jessica was because Mitch knew the heart wouldn’t match and that the old man would die and everything would go to Mitch.

 

Carlotta’s Diner

 

Al yells for more coffee and asks Marcie if she calls herself a waitress, Marcie asks him if he has had enough and Al tells her she can’t cut him off, this is not a bar.  Marcie tells him not to call her back over and waste her time unless he is going to tip her.  Al tells her that if she wants a tip, here’s one,  “Get a life”  Marcie tells him that when she heard about Al saving Jen in the snow storm that she actually thought for a second that there might be a decent person in him somewhere,  but she guesses not.  Rex jumps Al and wants to know why he treated her like that, doesn’t he know that if he were nice to her she would do his papers for him and give him her study notes, things like that.  Al wants to know if that is how Rex is keeping his GPA up and Rex tells him it is one of the ways.  Al tells him that he is not a manipulator and that maybe Rex and his father Max would get along great since they are so much alike. Rex’s phone rings and it is the dealer friend they have been waiting for, Rex gets the address and he and Al leave to go meet him.  Marcie walks over to the table to find that Al has left a ten to pay for a $12.00 check.  Max walks in and Marcie tells him that Al is a deadbeat, that he didn’t leave enough money and that she lost her job with Dr. Conklin so now she has to waitress and tutor to make ends meet.  Max gives her money to pay Al’s bill and asks her if she would like a job tutoring Al.  He asks if she knows where Al went and she hands him a paper she found on the floor.

 

 

Vega’s house

 

Cris and Natalie are in the shower, Cris is washing her hair and telling her that they are going to fix her hair, she tells him that is find but that they can’t fix her.  Cris tells her to stop it and not do this to herself anymore that he hates all that she has been through but that it has made her who she is and he loves her. 

 

Carlotta’s Diner

 

Carlotta walks in asks Marcie to help her with payroll, she finds that she left her ledger at home.  She tells Marcie that Cristian and Natalie are at the house and she told them she would not be home until later.  Marcie tells her she should not let someone like Natalie keep her out of her own home and Carlotta agrees, leaving to go back to the house.

 

Llanview Emergency Room

 

“So, it wasn’t enough to take my daughters from me, you want everything” Viki accuses Mitch, he replies that everything is what she took from him, “As ye sow, sow shall ye reap and the Lord’s will be done” Todd steps towards Mitch and tells him not this Lord and not this will.  Troy walks up and asks if Viki has decided what to do and she says she wants her father to live and signs the papers.  Mitch tells her that if he does live it won’t be for long, and that it may already be too late.

 

Vega’s House

 

Cris and Natalie are dressing and hear Carlotta in the bathroom, she is cleaning up the wet towels Cris tries to tell her that he will clean it up but she is upset that the moment she left they were in the shower together.  Carlotta tells him she will get what she came for and be out of their way.  Natalie is upset and tells Cris that things are not going to work out, that they need to go now.

 

Warehouse

 

Al is telling Rex’s friend that he need to pull all-nighters for the next 4 nights and wants to know if he can help.  The guy tells him that anything is possible with cash, Al tells him he only has 20.00 and is told that that will buy him a cup of coffee.  Max walks in and wants to know what is going on.  Al tells him that he is just hanging out with his friends.  Max tells him that he just left the diner and paid for his bill and Al is lucky that the police aren’t looking for him, he tells Al that he got a letter from school about Al’s grades and wonders why Al told him that things were under control.  Al tells him that things are under control, that he is doing better, Max tells him that he has hired a tutor for Al and Al tells him to stop running his life, he tells him that all he needs from Max is money, money for books, Max tells him to come on and they will go to the book store but Al wants to do it by himself, Max gives him $50.00 and leaves, Al gives the money to the dealer.

 

Llanfair

 

Viki tells Jessica and Joey that Mitch had Victor re-write his will and that Mitch will get everything if Victor dies.  Joey asks if Grandpa Victory can’t just write a new will but Viki tells him that Victor is unconscious and about to have surgery that he may not survive.  Joey tells her that they will fight is and Viki assures him that they will but that it could take time and that Mitch will have a lot of power during that time and will use it to destroy the family.  Jessica walks over to Viki and takes her hand telling her that they won’t let him, Viki tells her that the family is about to be tested as they never have been before, Joey tells her that he will loose and Viki hugs them both telling them how much her children mean to her.  Viki walks to the door asking where Natalie is so that she can tell her as well, Jessica tells her that Nat is not home and Viki want to know where she is, Jessica admits that she can’t say, that she promised Natalie that she wouldn’t tell.  Viki wants to know what is going on and Jessica admits that Natalie has moved out, that she and Cris wanted to be together, Viki says that she knew that but that it had been decided they would live in the gatehouse.  Jessica tells Viki that Nat and Cris were moving in with Carlotta, Viki is upset and wants to know what is going on, she goes to look for Natalie. Jessica tells Joey that she hopes that Mitch won’t be successful in trying to tear the family apart and walks from the room, Joey looks towards the terrace and to see Flash standing by the doors.

 

Joey lets her in and asks why she is there.  Flash tells him she wanted to apologize for her behavior earlier when he wanted to help her.  Joey wants to know if that’s it, Flash tells him that she came all the way down here to apologize and that’s not good enough, Joey tells her it isn’t, Flash wants to know if he wants her to beg for his forgiveness, Joey tells her no, he wants her to let him help her.  Flash says that this will never end, Joey wants to know if it would kill her to let him help and she admits that it wouldn’t, Joey tells her that she can trust him, Flash says that she knows that but that it is not that easy, that he doesn’t understand.  Flash admits that she is looking for someone, Joey wants to know who and she tells him it is someone he knows, Joey wants to know if it is a friend but she says no, family, she is looking for Tina’s son CJ.  Flash asks Joey to help her find him.

 

Warehouse

 

The dealer puts some pills in Al’s hand and tells him that should keep him up until a week from Thursday.  Al looks at the pills in his hand and asks him if they will may him weird or anything, he is told that they won’t, that it is only speed and would he like something to bring him down.  Al says that he won’t need anything else, this is a one time deal and he won’t be needing anything else from the guy.  The dealer leaves and Rex sits down next to Al telling him it is no big deal, Al says he has never taken anything before and Rex says he can either do that or let some stranger tutor him like his dad wants.

 

Llanview Emergency Room

 

Todd walks into the room and asks Troy what his father’s chances are.  Troy tells him that his father is in a weakened condition and that surgery is always a risk.  Todd wants to know if Troy is writing in his fathers chart but Troy tells him that had been his intent but that Victor had borrowed his pen and he didn’t have one to write the notes with.  Todd notices a piece of paper on the floor which Victor had written his name on, Troy tells Todd that Victor kept muttering that he had to make things right and Todd looks more closely at the paper, he sees that is says “I Victor Lord . . .” and realizes that Victor was trying to make a new will.  

 

Mitch walks up to Evangeline and she tells him that Todd tried to make friends, Mitch wants to know what kind of offer Todd had made her and is told it was pretty empty especially since he would be getting everything once Victor Lord dies.  Mitch tells her it won’t mean much if he is in prison and that she had better make sure he doesn’t.

 

Carlotta’s Diner

 

Nat walks in to talk to Carlotta but Carlotta tries to ignore her.  Natalie doesn’t give up and tells Carlotta that she knows things are not working out that she and Cris will move out.  Viki walks in and tells Natalie that she needs to move home.
