One Life to Live Recap for Wednesday, February 5, 2003
At a bus station in New Jersey, Antonio was stranded because of the storm. He ran into Jessica, who was on her way back from London. She decided that she needed to come back and face her demons. [Note: This new Jessica, Bree Williamson, has many surprising similarities to Erin Torpey, with the exception of a noticeable Canadian accent that Torpey did not have. I think that Williamson will fill Erins shoes well.]. Jessica started asking Antonio questions about how thing were in Llanview, as if she had been gone for months, instead of a little over 2 weeks. Jessica went to one of the pay phones and tried calling Viki on her cell phone. (Where is Jessicas cell phone?). The pay phone had a really bad reception, and so Viki couldnt even understand who was calling her. She checked out the caller ID on her phone, but it just showed up as a New Jersey number. While waiting for the weather to pass, Antonio filled her in on all of the latest happenings with Keri and the baby: only that Keri was six months pregnant, and hanging in there with the health. He obviously didnt mention paternity issues. While they were talking, there was a huge crash. Apparently there was an accident with an SUV and one of the busses, so there were a lot of injured people. Jessica and Antonio helped the victims deal with their injuries until the ambulance arrived.
At the Llanview airport, Viki was waiting to get on a flight to London to find Jessica. She called some family in order to let them know that she was leaving immediately for London. Behind her, she heard some unknown man on his cell phone reporting to Mitch about Viki. Viki turned around and confronted this man, accusing him of being one of Mitchs followers. He denied any connection, but Viki knew that he was involved. Viki left that area of the airport, and the unknown gentleman made another call to Mitch, saying that he was on the next flight to London, with Viki. After learning that all flights were cancelled until the weather improved, Viki was furious. She called Clint to let him know that she was on her way to London to see Jessica, but the phone reception was so poor that none of her call actually transmitted over to London.
Al went to Carlottas diner, and opened up a letter. As viewers, we couldnt really see what was in the letter, but it was an official letter from Llanview University. Renee came over and asked if she could sit down with Al. He said it was fine, and allowed her to join him. Renee asked how Als father was doing, and Al said that he was shutting people out, as usual. Renee encouraged Al to go over to Andrews (where Max is currently staying), and give Max some company. Al agreed, and left the diner. On his way out, he saw Marcie at the counter. Marcie was making a phone call to Lindsay Rappaports voice mail, letting her know that she didnt know where Jen was, and that she was very, very worried about her. Al overheard the end of Marcies message, and he questioned Marcie. Marcie said that she wasnt going to divulge any information, and that definitely wouldnt share anything with Al. Al didnt persist, and so he left.
Over at Andrews house, Max was sitting in his guest bedroom and reminiscing about Luna. Al walked in the room and asked Max how he was doing. Al pointed out that Max always turned to Lunas memory whenever anything went wrong, as if Luna had all of the answers. Max replied that he felt as though Luna did have all the answers. Max asked Al what was new in his life: how was school, etc. Al said that everything was fine- he was living in the dorms, and just getting in the swing of the new classes. Al mentioned that he had a few incompletes from the previous semester, but that they could be taken care of easily. Al said that he was going to leave Max alone with his memories. Al left, but outside of Maxs bedroom, he pulled out that letter again from Llanview. We see that the letter is a report card, with mostly failing grades. Al mused that everything wasnt going all right, and that he was failing out of school!
RJ stormed into the diner looking for Antonio. He saw Carlotta and asked her where her son was. She said that she didnt know, and even if she did, she wasnt going to tell him. RJ insisted that he needed to talk to him right away. Keri walked in to the diner, and asked RJ why he was so upset. She wondered why he seemed so angry with Antonio. RJ tried to cover by saying that he saw Keri outside in the cold, and that he was angry at Antonio for letting her walk around. Keri said that she was fine, and that she didnt need people to be her caretakers. She said that Antonio wasnt back from his trip to New York yet, so he wasnt even aware that she was out and about. Liz walked in, and pulled RJ aside. RJ said that Keri needed to know about the baby, and she needed to know as soon as possible. Liz pleaded with RJ, telling him that the only way that this information should get to Keri is through Antonio. Liz was confident that the only way things could possibly be reconciled, was if Antonio could talk to her. RJ said that he just hated keeping secrets from her, and that he didnt know if he would not be able to do it. (Doth he forget his little incident with helping Lindsay Rappaport escape??)
Back at the gallery, Lindsay called Troy and left him a message on his voice mail. She told him that she knew that he would come back, and that she would be ready (willing and able) for him. She undressed herself, and put on another piece of negligée. She lay in bed and waited for Troys return. Instead, three men barged into her room, and violently grabbed her. They asked her where her daughter Jen was. Lindsay was in such shock that she didnt know how to answer. She replied that she had no idea where her daughter was, and she begged them not to hurt her. The three men realized that she really didnt know of Jens whereabouts, and so they left. Lindsay started to get extremely worried, so she called Jen and left a message on her voice mail. She told Jen that she was very worried about her, and that three men had just left the gallery looking for her. Lindsay included in the voice mail that she didnt know what Jen had gotten herself into, but that she would come and get her, no matter where she was. After hanging up, Lindsay checked her voice mail, and heard the message from Marcie. Her concern grew, as she got out of bed to go find Jen.
Jen stayed unconscious in the snow, although she stirred around a few times. A couple of children saw Jen, but their mother called them back to the car. The children never mentioned to their mother that they saw a woman in the snow. Finally, a car drove up and parked. A mysterious person got out of the car, walked right over to Jen (who was almost completely buried- how did he/she see her???), picked her up, and took her away.
[Side note: For those of you who saw yesterdays show, it seemed to me that Jen ran out of Mitchs home, and ran only a little bit before slipping and falling. Then, today, it seemed like she was really far away from Mitchs home, near a public park or something. I mean, there were childrens voices in the background, outside of the two kids that actually saw her lying there on the ground. What, does Mitch Lawrence live right outside of a kiddie's park and playground?]
In the park, Troy finally got Nora to let him explain his situation. He tried to tell her that the whole situation with Lindsay was not what it seemed, but she didnt want to hear any of it. She turned to walk away, but Troy blurted out that he was sleeping with Lindsay because she knew about his wife. Noras thoughts jumped around that statement, so that she was ultimately thinking that Troy had a current wife. Troy had to calm her down, and go through the whole story of Joanna, and how she died. Nora couldnt believe that Troy didnt trust her enough to tell her about his ex-wife. She said that his sleeping with Lindsay was no excuse for covering up something she might have accepted anyway. Nora continued berating Troy, telling him that he was just like Colin, and that he tried to be nice, but that he really was evil inside. Troy said that they loved each other, and that had to count for something. Nora said that any love she had for him vanished the second she found him in bed with Lindsay. She ordered him to leave her alone. Troy realized that there wasnt anything else for him to say, so he left her alone. Once he left, Nora took off her glove, took off her engagement ring, and walked away from the park.
Tomorrow should be a real treat, everyone. Stay tuned!
