One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, April 17, 2003

Llanfair

As Dorian frantically tries to open the secret door, Blair asks her if they are going to die in there? Dorian tells Blair there is no way they are going to die and Mitch is going to get everything he deserves. She picks up a power drill and begins attacking the door.

Troy arrives looking for Blair and Lois tells him that she hasn’t seen her. As Troy prepares to leave, he hears the drilling. Lois tells him she doesn’ t hear anything. He tells her it is coming from under the floor. Lois continues to tell Troy that she doesn’t hear anything and he asks her how to get to the basement.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Dorian desperately tries to get Blair to wake up. She looks up and curses at Victor, because she has finally gotten her home back, and now she is going to die in it.

The gym locker room

Rex tries to strike up conversation with Joey. It soon becomes very apparent to Rex that Joey isn’t interested in chit chatting with him. Rex asks Joey why he has a problem with him? Joey tells him that the problem he has with Rex, is his involvement with Jen. Joey tells him he doesn’t approve of his relationship with her.

Llanview Hospital

Lindsay asks Jen to get her out of hospital as soon as possible, so they can go home. She tells Jen she needs to take care of her and Will because her dad is working late. Jen tells Lindsay that her dad is dead and she killed him. Lindsay stares at her as if she has fallen silent.

Llanview University

Marcie bursts in the radio studio at the university and finds Al fast asleep. As she finally starts to put thing altogether, she realizes there is absolutely way that Al is the Voice of the Night? However, she asks him anyway. Al just looks at her.

Natalie informs Viki that Jessica went to Llanfair. Viki jumps to her feet in a panic and asks Natalie why she would go anywhere near that man, meaning Mitch. Natalie tries to tell Viki that Jessica went to Llanfair to retrieve her car as Viki runs out the door.

Llanview Hospital

Jessica tells Mitch she feels responsible for his accident and she wants to be there so he won’t have to go through it alone. He asks her if she means he can be a father to her now? She stares at him.

In Lindsay’s room, Jen realizes just how mad Lindsay has become and runs out as Bo opens the door. Lindsay yells at her to come back and begs Bo to stop her. She needs Bo’s help to protect, Jen, protect her family, and to protect Sam. Bo asks her what she needs to protect them from? Lindsay tells him, Mitch Laurence.

Llanview University

Al tells Marcie it is impossible for him to be the Voice of the Night because they listened to him on the radio together at the diner. Al tells her he came to find out who the Voice of the Night was for her. Marcie can’ t believe Al would do that for her. Marcie tells him he doesn’t look good and he tells her he thinks he may have the flu. Marcie tells Al they need to get him home to bed.

Llanfair

The drilling stops and Troy realizes he must have imagined the noise. He leaves. Downstairs, Dorian is able to revive Blair. Then she starts screaming at Victor again. As she screams at him she looks at the diamond and realizes it must fit in the top of the secret box, between the prongs that hurt Blair’s wrist. She sets it in there and the prongs disappear and the door opens. They escape and Blair begs Dorian not to go back in the room, however, Dorian insists she needs to get the diamond because she is not leaving it in there for Mitch to find.

Llanview Hospital

Instead of answering Mitch’s questions, Jessica runs out under the guise of finding the doctor. She is able to locate Mitch’s doctor. He tells Jessica that the prognosis is not good. He tells her that Mitch most likely will lose his eyesight permanently. Then he tells her that she has the option of telling him herself because she is Mitch’s next of kin. The doctor tells her he will do it if she doesn’t think she can. Jessica tells him she will tell Mitch herself.

Llanfair

Determined as ever, Dorian goes back in the room and thanks Victor for the diamond. She grabs it quickly and turns around and runs out of the door, as the door is closing. Blair and Dorian argue in the hallway about the curse and her marriage to Mitch. Blair goes upstairs and Dorian follows her. Viki bursts in yelling for Jessica. Dorian can’t believe Viki’s outburst and tells her she doesn’t live there anymore. Viki finally gets Dorian to tell her that Jessica and Mitch are in the garage.

The Diner

Natalie comes in looking for Carlotta and as she turns to leave, Jen walks in. Natalie offers her condolences and Jen goes off on her. As she does, Natalie throws her hands up and Jen sees her ring. Jen asks her if she is engaged? Natalie tells her she and Cristian are going to get married. Jen walks off spouting, “Great, great, can my life possibly get any worse?”

The gym locker room

Rex gets in Joey’s face about Flash and Joey tells him off about pretending to be Jessica’s brother. Then Joey tells him not to do anything to Jen and if he tries to sleep with her, and Rex interrupts. He tells Joey he has already had her. He tells Joey that if he wants Jen and Jessica in bed, perhaps even together, that is exactly where they’d be. Joey shoves him into the lockers.

Llanview Hospital

Jessica tells Mitch the doctor’s prognosis. She tells him he may never get his sight back. Mitch tells her this is his punishment for all of the bad things he has done. Jessica blames herself and he quickly tells her it was not her fault. Then he asks her if she really meant she’d stay with him through his ordeal? She tells him that Dorian should be there soon. He

tells her he needs her instead. Mitch begs her not to leave him alone in

the dark. She tells him she will stay.

In Lindsay’s room Bo asks Lindsay what Mitch has to do with anything regarding the events leading to Sam’s death. Lindsay tells Bo that Mitch knew how much she loved Troy and he is the one that gave her the gun. Bo asks her if Mitch told her to shoot Troy? Lindsay tells him she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore because Mitch scares her. As she turns away, Bo murmurs that Mitch doesn’t scare him.

Llanview University

Marcie brings Al home to his dorm room. She has an entire sack full of things to help him. She even has brought him the ‘ol chicken soup! Al asks her if she has any aspirin. Marcie tells him that all she has is diet pills. Al sees the opportunity and asks her to check his bathroom. He dives into her purse. He takes a handful of pills out of the bottle. She brings him back a glass of water instead, because she couldn’t find any aspirin. She walks away for a moment to clean off his bed and as she does, Al shoves a few pills in his mouth.

Llanfair

Dorian tends to Blair’s arm. Blair realizes she needed to call Troy right away because of their date. Viki comes storming back in demanding to know where Jessica is and she tells Dorian about the mess in the garage. As Viki

continues to rant and rave at Dorian, her phone rings. It is Jessica and

she is all right. Jessica tells Viki she will meet her at home. Viki spouts off some rather veiled threats at Dorian and leaves.

The Diner

Natalie tries to mend fences with Jen and things get out of hand. As they argue, Carlotta interrupts them. Carlotta sides with Jen. As Jen walks away, Natalie takes the opportunity to go off on Carlotta. Natalie gives Carlotta piece of her mind about Carlotta’s interference in her life with Cristian. She goes off on all of the dirty deeds Jen pulled with her pregnancy and Carlotta isn’t swayed. Natalie ends up storming out of the diner.

Llanfair

Blair leaves a message for Troy and spies Dorian looking at the diamond again. She yells at Dorian to put it away. The doorbell rings. Dorian hides the diamond and answers the door. It is Bo. He asks for Mitch. Dorian tells Bo Mitch is out. Bo informs them that Lindsay told him Mitch gave her the gun, which she used to shoot Sam. Blair knew Mitch was involved. Bo asks Dorian if she is involved as well. Dorian scoffs at him and denies any such involvement. He tells her either she is involved in all of Mitch Laurence’s crimes, or she is in way over her head.

Dorian asks Bo if every time something goes wrong in Llanview, why Mitch is to blame? Bo tells her she is starting to sound like her husband. As they trade barbs back and forth, the telephone rings and Dorian answers it in the library. Bo takes the opportunity to talk to Blair. She informs Bo she is not going to testify against Mitch. Bo is flabbergasted and extremely frustrated with her. Bo threatens to subpoena her and leaves. Dorian comes back in and Blair asks her who was on the phone. Dorian tells her it was the hospital and there has been a terrible accident. Sadly, she proclaims, Mitch has gone blind! The she rejoices!

The gym locker room

Rex tries to apologize for what he said about Jen and Jessica. Joey tells him to save it. Joey ends up threatening him to stay away from both of them.

Llanview University

Marcie tells Al to eat all of his soup. She tells him how much she is touched by what he did in trying to figure out who the Voice of the Night is for her. She tells Al he is a good friend. She leaves. Al smiles briefly as worry shows up on his face.

Viki is so relieved to see Jessica and hears about the terrible accident that took place at Llanfair. Jessica tells Viki it was all her fault. Viki tries to talk her out of blaming herself. Viki asks her to sit down. Jessica tells her she needs to pack! “Pack!” Viki shrieks. Jessica tells her about the promise she made to Mitch not to let him go through this ordeal alone and she intends to stay with him in the hospital. Viki and Natalie watch as Jessica walks out of the room. They are both left speechless.

Llanview University

Marcie comes back to the radio station to deliver some flowers and a card for the Voice of the Night, while Al is in his room continuing to pop more of her pills.

The Diner

Jen sits all alone in a booth at the diner, deeply lost in her own misery. She cries uncontrollably.

Viki looks a baby picture of Jessica and shakes her head is disbelief. Natalie watches from the background. Natalie’s little feelers are hurt once again. (Oh, grow up!)

Llanview Hospital

While Lindsay continues to struggle in her own self impose hell, she tosses and turns as Troy watches from the door. In Mitch’s room, Jessica arrives. He asks who is there? As Jessica tells him she is back, she sits by his bed, and they touch hands.

Llanfair

Dorian is overjoyed by Mitch’s misfortune. Blair tells her she had better watch her back. Dorian tells her Mitch is blind as a bat and now she can go after him, and he won’t see her coming. . .
