One Life to Live Recap for Friday, October 18, 2002

Lindsay showed up at Troy’s doorstep and tried to further torture him with her knowledge of Joanna. Troy was trying to get ready because Nora was going to meet him for a meal, and he was running late.  Lindsay asked him why the painting of Joanna that she donated wasn’t hanging in his clinic yet, and Troy said that he just hadn’t found the right place to put it. Lindsay said that she wished that Troy would have just said that he didn’t like the painting and to be honest with her, since she was generous enough to donate the painting in the first place. Troy said that it wasn’t that at all, that he just hadn’t found the space for it. Lindsay invited herself in, and noticed right away that the painting was smashed. She asked him why he did such a thing to the painting. Troy, at this point, was losing his patience, and admitted angrily that it was because he didn’t want to have anything to do with the painting, and that Lindsay made him so angry that he destroyed the painting. Lindsay pretended as if she didn’t understand why Troy was so angry about an innocent painting.

Troy asked Lindsay to leave, and Lindsay started to make her way to the door. A phone call from Nora interrupted the tension, and Nora asked if Troy could meet her at the Country Club instead of her going over to his loft, since she was running late. Troy agreed, and Lindsay, still in the apartment, overheard their meeting place. When Troy got off the phone, he was surprised that Lindsay was still there. She happily left, knowing where he was going. Outside of his loft, she made a phone call to an unknown person, offering them money if he/she met with her at the country club 10 minutes from then. Nora and Sam met at the Country Club so that Sam could take Matthew for a little while. They caught up with each other while Matthew was outside playing a round of miniature golf with Emily. Sam asked Nora how she was doing, and she said that she was doing just fine. Sam was able to see right through and know that everything wasn’t ok. After some prodding, Nora admitted that she was bothered about Lindsay, and that she wasn’t able to talk to Troy about it because of his anger towards Lindsay. Sam apologized for Lindsay’s showing up at the awards ceremony for Troy’s clinic. Nora said that wasn’t a big deal, but the problem lied elsewhere. Nora told Sam about her encounter with Lindsay earlier that week, when Lindsay said that she wished that Nora had drowned. Nora said that the only thing about which she could have been talking was that night when Nora was knocked off the bridge and into the river.

Nora explained to Sam that she had previous suspicions that the guilty person was Lindsay, but that she didn’t have any concrete evidence; Just a glimpse of a person who looked almost just like Lindsay. Sam asked Nora why she hadn’t told Troy about her suspicions, and Nora replied that she knew how much Troy hated Lindsay, but she was confident that he wouldn’t take matters into his own hands again in order to get rid of her. Troy showed up at the club, and Sam was ready to leave with Matthew, but Troy asked them to stay.  It seemed as though Troy and Sam had really let their feelings toward one another go, especially since Sam has moved on with Blair. Lindsay saw all of them laughing and enjoying themselves, so she sent her “messenger” over to their table. The “messenger” pretended that she was a Sociology major at Llanview U., and that she was taking a survey. She asked if all of them wouldn’t mind answering a couple of questions. The first question was if any had been married. They all answered the question, but when it became Troy’s turn, he hesitated, but said no. Lindsay appeared and said that Troy’s statement was just not true! He was married before!

Al and Jen burst into the pregnancy center at the same time, both trying to reach Jen’s doctor. They didn’t realize that Cristian was there, and he was very curious as to what was going on. Jen covered, saying that she was just trying to prove that she was really pregnant to Al, so she brought him here so he could know for sure. Al said that he wanted to talk to the doctor, but she had left on another case. Al noticed that her file was sitting on the desk, and tried to grab it, but Jen grabbed it first. She tried to prevent Al from seeing it, and also Cris. Cristian couldn’t understand why Jen wouldn’t let either of them see the file, since all Al wanted to know was whether or not she was pregnant. Jen finally allowed Cris to see the file, and he confirmed that she was definitely pregnant. Al, knowing that wasn’t the real thing he wanted to know, since he already had figured out that she was pregnant, asked when exactly the due date was!!!

While Viki was still thinking about the possibility that Jessica could really be her biological daughter, Natalie came in to speak with her. Natalie was upset because she had overheard the conversation between Bo and Viki earlier when Viki said that Jessica could really be her daughter after all. Natalie assumed that meant that she wasn’t really her daughter, and that Viki must think that she was lying about the whole situation. Natalie was afraid that, if Jessica was really Viki’s daughter after all, then what happens to Natalie? Viki assured her that nothing would happen, and that nothing would change. Viki said that she had seen Natalie change in the last year, and that she would always be a part of the family, no matter what happened. Jessica walked in and heard Natalie say that she might be Viki’s daughter after all. Jessica lit into Natalie, saying that she must have rigged the DNA tests from the beginning, and that she knew all along that Roxy wasn’t really Jessica’s mother. Natalie, of course, denied it. Viki said that none of it mattered, because she had already sent in a hair sample of each of theirs, and that she was waiting for the results from Bo. Natalie saw that as a sign that Viki really didn’t believe her, and that she didn’t think that Natalie was her daughter at all. Viki tried calming her down, telling her that she would still be included, but that Viki just had to find out the truth. Jessica interjected, saying that the only reason why Natalie was worried was because her cover would be blown, and she would lose out on all of the money. The girls started getting really ugly with each other, making accusations, and such, while Viki tried to break the argument. Just as everything came to a head, Bo walked in, and said he had the results of the test. Jessica and Natalie are BOTH Viki’s daughters!
