One Life to Live Recap for Monday, November 11, 2002

Jessica is very upset with herself because she had a conversation with Natalie after Natalie found out that Cristian was getting married that day. In their previous conversation, Natalie said that she was going to the wedding, but that she didn’t know what she was going to do. Jess asked her if she was going to stop the wedding, but Natalie wasn’t sure of anything. Jess wasn’t able to stop her, which was why she was so upset with the situation. Seth tried to comfort her by telling her that maybe it was the best thing for Natalie to stop that wedding. Jess couldn’t understand why he would say such a thing. Seth said that it was best for everything to be out in the open. He said that he just hoped that Cristian was going to be all right, no matter what the outcome.

Al reads Marcie’s diary, and discovers that he is really the father of Jen’s baby. He leaves immediately, only to find Jessica at Llanview University. Al asks Jessica if she knows where Jen is, because he is going to go and tell her that the engagement is a farce, and that he knows the truth. Jess is a bit shocked, because she realizes that he doesn’t know that Cris and Jen are getting married as they spoke! Jess said to Al, that she didn’t know how to break it to him, but that Jen is in the process of getting married at that moment. Al was completely dumbfounded, and didn’t know what to say. He begged Jessica to tell him where they were getting married, but she said it didn’t matter. Jess encouraged him to let it go, and asked if he wanted to sit down for a cup of coffee, but he declined, saying that he needed to spend some time alone. Once he was out of earshot, he called someone from a florist and said that he had flowers to deliver to the Vega wedding, but that he didn’t know the address. The person on the other end of the line told him that the wedding was taking place at the country club….

Jen and Cristian were in the middle of the wedding ceremony when Natalie walked into the back of the Country Club. Jen somehow had eyes in the back of her head and she turned around and saw Natalie standing there. Of course, Cristian turned around, too, and saw Natalie. The wedding stopped, as everyone turned around to see Natalie. Natalie realized that everyone was staring at her, and she realized the magnitude of what she was doing by standing there. She muttered that she was sorry, and she rushed out of the room. Cristian looked at Jen, and then followed Natalie. At that point, everyone at the wedding went a bit crazy, gossiping about what could be possibly important enough for Cristian to walk out of his own wedding. Jen started to realize that her whole scheme could possibly be over, and she was afraid of being humiliated. Jen left to go after Cristian, but stopped at the door. Lindsay made a comment (loud enough for the entire guest list to hear) that she couldn't believe that Cristian would be cruel enough to walk out of the room on Jen on their wedding day. Carlotta heard this comment, and the two women bantered back and forth for a few moments before Antonio and Keri tried to calm Carlotta down. Carlotta was very upset over this situation, but Keri was able to calm her down for the moment. Sam tried going over to Lindsay to calm her down, too, but she was in a fury. Obviously Lindsay knows more about the situation than Sam or anyone else at the wedding, so she had reason to be upset. Both Carlotta and Lindsay approached Antonio and asked them if he could arrest Natalie. Antonio was shocked at this request, as Natalie did nothing legally wrong. Keri pushed the women away, saying that this was absurd, and that they couldn’t request such a thing. Lindsay went over to Jen, who was very shocked that Natalie would actually show up at the ceremony. Jen seethed in front of Lindsay, who asked Jen what her next step was going to be in order to remedy this seemingly hopeless situation. Lindsay made another comment about Cristian, and Carlotta said that it wasn’t Cristian’s fault; it was "that evil girl, Natalie." They both silently agreed on Cristian found Natalie and he asked her what she was doing there, that he thought she had agreed that this wedding was the right thing to do. Natalie said that she hadn’t changed her mind, but that she thought that coming to the wedding would be good for her to close this chapter, but that it was harder for her than she thought. Cristian said that he was sorry, but that this was the way it had to be. As they were close in conversation, Jen walked in, and they separated a bit. Natalie apologized and said that she was very sorry. Jen said that it was ok, that she understood why Natalie came to the wedding. She said that this was the reason why she had wanted Natalie to leave Llanview, so that things wouldn’t have come to this. She said that Natalie ruined her wedding day, and that she would continue to ruin things every time she was around, because she couldn’t deal with the fact that Cristian loved Jen, and not Natalie. Jen continued to rub the salt in the wound by saying that she should just leave, that there is nothing here for her, and that Cristian doesn’t love her. Natalie agrees, apologizes for everything, and leaves. Jen looks at Cristian, and they join hands and go back to the ceremony. Jen asks Rev. Carpenter if they could start from the beginning, and he obliges.

As they are going through the ceremony for take #2, Al barges in with full intent of stopping the wedding. Mitch/Michael gets a message from Natalie which says that she needs to talk to him right away. He knows that she is falling into his trap, and he loves the fact that he has control over her. He stares out and says that he is the messenger, and that no one knows when the messenger will return, or how he will return, but that someday, it is inevitable that he will return. He leaves and finds Natalie at the quarry, where she has just come from the wedding "festivities." She asked him how he knew where she was, and he said that god led him to her. She burst into tears and fell into his arms. He comforted her, telling her that he felt more strongly than ever that she was about to experience very good things. She didn’t believe him, based on everything that she was going through at that moment with Cristian, but he was very adamant in his statement. He continued to pull her closer as he told her that the plans for her life were very good, and she was going to be very happy. She gazed hypnotically into his eyes….

Blair was in the office trying to make plans for Starr’s birthday with Suzanne. She was irritated with the fact that Starr’s request for her birthday. She made some comment to Suzanne about how she would do anything for Starr’s birthday, as long as her father stayed far away from his kids. Todd happened to walk into her office and heard her say that. He surprised her by saying that she wasn’t going to be able to keep her kids away from him, because he was going to fight back and get his kids back from her so that she would never see them again. He said that he had ammunition against her, and that he was confident that any judge would side with him and return his kids to him. Blair asked what he could possibly have on her, and he told her that he was going to use her antics with Troy MacIver against her. He was referring to the time when she tried to seduce Troy in order to get Nora and Sam back together. Todd said that he even had witnesses to help in this case! Blair asked who would testify for his behalf, and he said that he had talked to Nora, and that she had agreed to testify for him. Conveniently enough, Nora happened to be standing in the doorway at that moment, and she said that Todd’s statement was a blatant lie. She said that she would not even consider being on the same side of the courtroom as Todd. Blair thanked her, but Nora turned her away, saying that she thought that Blair’s actions were pretty crazy, but that they were absolutely nothing compared to what Todd had done in the past. Nora also said that she hadn’t spoken to Troy, but that she was sure that he would testify on Blair’s behalf as well. Blair thanked her, and she left. A deflated Todd realized he didn’t have anymore ammunition, so he was going to leave. Blair got a phone call, and it was a threat from someone who said that she was going to die. Todd asked what that was about, and she said that she was doing an expose on a Mafia group, and that she had been receiving little threats along the way. She didn’t take it seriously, however. Todd, having nothing more to say, left Blair’s office, vowing to return. Blair hurried out in order to meet Suzanne and get those plans going on Starr’s party. At a nondescript area, Blair wandered around looking for Suzanne, as a man hid in the bushes and pointed a gun at her. She continued to wander around, and the man raised up the gun and shot her in the back!

Vicky and Bo continued to try and find any links between Mitch Lawrence, Peter Manning (Todd’s adopted father) and Viki. Viki was still discouraged because she saw how many people were involved, and yet all of them were dead. Bo said that not all of them were dead! Viki wondered about whom Bo was talking, and he told her that Cassie had major connections to the Mitch Lawrence cult. He told Viki that Cassie was on her way to Llanview at that moment. Todd barged into Llanfair, and told Viki that she needed to help him get his kids back. Viki said that she couldn’t do that, because he needed to suffer the consequences of his poor actions. Todd said that he didn’t understand why taking Jack away for "a couple of minutes" constituted a good enough reason for his kids to be taken away from him. Bo jumped in and said that Viki had troubles of her own, and didn’t need to worry about his. Todd asked if Viki was still hung up on that Mitch Lawrence situation, and she said that of course she was still hung up on it! She said that she was determined to find out exactly why things turned out the way they did so many years ago. Todd told her that she needed to get over it and enjoy the fact that she has both twins right now. Viki said that wasn’t enough, and she was going to fight for answers. Todd was still on his one-track mind, and said he had to leave so that he could figure out what to do next, but he first pulled out a brochure and said that he "was still thinking of family" and had found this brochure behind some picture. It was a pamphlet on Mitch Lawrence’s cult. Viki thanked Todd for finding this, and Todd left. At the door, Todd ran into Cassie, who told him exactly what she thought of him. She told him that Blair had told her about everything that happened in Mexico, as well as Hawaii. She said that he was just despicable.

Meanwhile, back inside Llanfair, Viki and Bo are looking over this pamphlet. They read over an ominous statement, which Viki says is like "Mitch is trying to speak to us from the dead." The statement reads that the messenger is near, but that no one knows when the messenger will return, or how he will return, but that someday, it is inevitable that he will return…. (remember that from Mitch/Michael’s quote earlier??) This whole thing is starting to get rather creepy….
