Roxy’s House

Roxy feeling very sorry for herself and says she has nothing and has lost everything.  She says it is like losing “Rex” all over again.  Jessica stops at the door and turns around to ask, “Who’s Rex?”  Roxy tells her to mind her own damn business.  She lashes out at Jessica.  Roxy is still hung up on the money. Jessica wonders if Rex is her father. Roxy tells her it was a stupid dog, and he was better than either Jessica or Natalie ever could have been to her.

Outside Jessica tells Seth that this was not about some stupid dog.  Seth tries to get Jess to realize that Roxy probably used this guy and drove him away.  Seth can’t believe how amazing Jessica is, after everything Roxy did to her, she still cares.  He tells her it is amazing how she didn’t want to press charges against Roxy, even though she tried to scam her out of all that money.  They reaffirm their love for one another and decide to head back to Llanview.  Meanwhile, Roxy begins to tear her house apart, looking for something.  Then she finds a picture and begins to stare at it.

Llanview University

At the Student Union, Max tells Al he will never let him move into the vacant apartment next door to Jen and Christian.  Max tells Al he will never be able to handle living next door to them.  Al compares it to the same situation as Max living in the same house as Gabrielle and Asa, and proceeds to go off on Max.  Al tells Max he has to live next door to them so that he can protect her.  Max wants to know, protect her from what?  Al says, “Christian!”  (Who is going to protect her from you, looney tune?)  Max cannot believe what he is hearing!

Christian walks in and sees Natalie and they begin talking as Jen walks in and hears Christian apologizing for Natalie having to see him and Al fighting in the hallway outside his apartment.  Natalie leaves.  Jen wants to know why Christian never told her Natalie came back.  She reminds him that Natalie lied to all of them and she hurt all of them too.  She accuses Natalie of wanting Christian.  Christian tries to protest, but Jen throws it in his face one more time, you kissed her didn’t you, and it was almost something worse! (Well, now tell me Mr. Wizard, who had sex with Al?) Christian tells her they didn’t even do anything remotely that close, and besides she means nothing to him.  Jen says she will feel a lot better if he would stay away from her.

Max attacks Natalie as she walks by, blaming her for everything that has happened to his son.  Max tells her he knows Al wouldn’t have ever done any of this if it hadn’t been for her.  She tells Max she doesn’t want to argue with him, and tells him she feels like she should warn him instead.  He wonders why, and she tells him how weird Al is acting, and that nothing good will come of Al wanting to live next door to Jen and Christian.  He tells Natalie that no matter what his children do it doesn’t matter because he will always love them no matter what!  Natalie ponders that kind of love and leaves.

As Christian and Jen continue to disagree over Natalie, Max interrupts them. He apologizes to them for what Al did, and wanted them to know he only had found out about it, a few hours before the wedding, but he remained silent out of loyalty to his son.  Max tells Christian he can stay in his apartment and keep his job at Break Bar.  He will not allow Al to move in next door to them either. Christian tells Max that everything will have to wait until he gets back because he is going to Las Vegas.  Max wonders why Christian is going, but he tells him that his job and apartment will be waiting for him when he gets back.  As Max leaves Jen asks Christian why he is leaving, almost in tears.  He tells her it is a trip for both of them and she is ecstatic, and as they hug and kiss, they do not see Al, lurking in the doorway watching them.  As they head off to class, Al comes in and picks up a piece of paper they dropped.

Natalie, Seth and Jessica come into the student union, talking about the sting and all that had happened.  Natalie can’t believe that Jessica isn’t going to press charges against Roxy. Jessica asks Natalie who Rex is? Natalie drops her books and is in a state of shock from hearing the name.

The Llanview Hotel

Jordan tells Ben she is private investigator and is working for his wife. Ben turns to Niki and asks. “Viki is this is true?  Niki vehemently denies it.  Jordan claims a woman hired her over the phone, claiming to be his wife.  Niki, trying to act appalled, says she wishes she knew who would do such a thing.  Ben says he knows exactly who did this.  It was Allison Perkins!  Niki plays along but in reality she is relieved that her scam wasn't ’t uncovered.  Niki/Viki apologizes to Jordan for being duped into their mess.  Sam leaves to go find Allison.

Niki screams at Jordan that she almost blew it!  Jordan still claims Ben really does love her.  She hopes that they can work it all out.  Ben walks back in.  He tells them that he just found out something and it is pretty damn disturbing.  He asks Jordan to leave them alone.  Once Jordan leaves the room, he tells Niki that he overheard some people talking in the hall, and found out that Allison was arrested for trying to kill Jessica and Seth. It doesn’t sink in at first, but then Niki trying to play the doting mother Viki, feigns anguish.  Once again Ben leaves, on his way to the police department to see Allison in jail.

Niki cannot believe her good fortune.  She cannot believe how lucky she is and how she keeps managing to dodge these bullets.  Jordan comes back in after getting dressed and tells Niki that she never wants to see her again. Niki tells Jordan she is totally useless to her now, her check is in the mail, and to get lost!  Niki decides she needs a new plan, and decides to let Ben catch Viki cheating on him!

Llanview Police Department

Allison is sitting in her jail cell talking to herself.  This isn’t the way this was supposed to go, she mumbles.  She starts to reminiscence about Dave and Ben walks in.

The Sun

At the Sun, Sam storms into Todd’s office demanding answers, only to find Gabrielle sitting in Todd’s leather chair.  Gabrielle tells Sam that Todd is in Texas with his family.  Sam knows he isn’t there because he just got off the telephone with Blair.  Todd never made it!  Sam tells her that he checked the airlines and Todd never boarded a plane either.  Sam threatens Gabrielle to tell him where Todd is, and she threatens to call Security if he doesn’t leave.

After Sam leaves Todd’s office she calls Todd.  She asks his if everything is all right at the hospital, and tells him that Sam is looking for him and Sam knows he is not in Texas.  She asks about Jack and the transplant, and he tells her everything is all right.  Soon after their conversation, an office clerk comes into Todd’s office and hands Gabrielle a file. She also tells Gabrielle that the man that was there before was standing outside listening to her telephone conversation.  Gabrielle panics.  She mutters to herself as she stumbles trying to get her purse and get out the door that she must warn Todd.  She runs into Bo.  He asks her warn Todd about what?

Llanview Hospital

Todd questions Dr. Schiller about Jack’s transplant, if it worked, and if Jack will be all right.  Dr. Schiller tells Todd, Jack will be fine, and Todd hugs him.  Realizing what he did, Todd pulls away, and threatens Dr. Schiller that if he breathes a word about what he just did, Todd will kill him, and then he will never get any of Todd’s money.  As Dr. Schiller leaves, Alex rolls in, wheelchair and all!

Alex tells Todd she is having second thoughts about their little arrangement.  He says they no longer have an arrangement, and he asks her what she wants, because Todd wants her to leave.  Before she can answer, he hands her another check.  She says it is unacceptable and refuses it, claiming she wants recognition.  She wants to alert the media and she wants the whole world to know that Jack’s transplant was a success.  She tells Todd to think of the headlines, Former Mayor of Llanview Humanitarian Endeavor!  Todd screams and tells her she cannot tell anyone what she did or why she is there.  He tells her she has to leave.  She fights him until he threatens to call good ‘ol Jeb, after all he’s on speed dial you know! Finally she wheels off, and Dr. Schiller tells Todd he can see Jack.

As Todd looks in on Jack, he actually shows an almost human and vulnerable side, that he never shows.  He actually does have a heart. (Look out Tin

Man!)  He tells Jack that he doesn’t deserve any of them, not Blair, not Starr or even him, for all of the terrible things he has done in his life, and yet, somehow Jack was spared.  Jack lays there looking at Todd, while Todd talks to him.  Dr. Schiller comes in and tells Todd he has to leave now.  Todd kisses his fingers and touches Jacks face and he leaves, only to run into Alex once again.

As Alex starts to talk to Todd, she once again asks for money.  Todd takes his shoe off, and takes out some cash he had hidden inside of it.  As he hands her the money, Sam walks in and he hears Todd tell Alex, “Take the money and go away!”

On the plane…

Blair wonders why Todd and Jack never made it to Texas.  She wonders out loud to herself and Starr, while seated on an airplane.  She hopes there is nothing wrong.  Starr has a worried look on her face as if she wonders too.
