Carlotta’s Diner

Carlotta is stunned to discover that Keri is $50,000 in debt. She tells Cris about the notice from the collection agency. Carlotta is mortified that Keri would be so irresponsible as to run up such a debt on a credit card. Cris points out to his mother that it is none of their business. Carlotta thinks Antonio deserves to know about Keri’s spending habits.

Cris doesn’t think his mother should tell Antonio about Keri’s financial situation and believes Keri may have already told him. Cris warns his mother to stay out of Keri and Antonio’s affairs. Carlotta raised her sons to be responsible with money and she is concerned that if Antonio marries Keri he will have to take over the debt. She thinks Antonio deserves to know what he is getting into. She finally promises Cris she will not interfere.

Keri’s Office

Keri is confused when she can’t find the note from the collection agency. RJ offers to help her with the problem but Keri declines. Rae rushes in with good news for Keri – her book is being published. Keri is thrilled – especially when she gets a $5,000 check for the book. Keri plans to dedicate the book to Antonio because he inspired her with his determination to finish his paper. She asks RJ and Rae to keep it a secret so Antonio will be surprised when the book is published.

Rae offers to throw a party for Keri and they head off to shop for a new outfit with the money Keri received for the book.

Carlotta’s Diner

RJ shows up at the diner looking for Carlotta. Cris tries to get rid of him. RJ tells Cris about a surprise party Keri is throwing for RJ’s birthday – and how much it’s going to cost. RJ says he just wants the families to get along during the party – for Keri’s sake. RJ offers to wait but Cris says his mother is out making deliveries and will be gone for awhile. RJ finds the collection notice and knows Carlotta has seen it. He leaves.

Silver Moon Boutique

Keri and Rae are busy shopping for new outfits. Rae is encouraging Keri to spend freely on new clothes. Keri is reluctant but Rae talks her into it – and Carlotta overhears. She hides in the shadows as Keri and Rae enjoy their shopping.

Llanview University

Chad and Jen are studying when Al shows up. Chad tells Jen that Al wants to move in next door to her and Cris. Jen confronts Al and returns his ring. Al doesn’t want to take it back but Jen wants him to understand that it’s really over. She asks why he would think about moving in next door to her. Al tells her it’s a done deal. He claims that it’s the only place he can afford. Jen doesn’t buy his explanation.

Jen wants both of them to move on with their lives. She wants Al to be happy – with someone else. He is happy she is amenable to his moving in next door – Cris went nuts when he found out. Jen is surprised that Cris knew of Al’s plan and didn’t tell her. Al is only too happy rub it in Jen’s face that Cris kept a secret from her.

Al confronts Chad about telling Jen. Chad thinks it’s bizarre that Al would want to live next door to the ‘happy’ couple. Max enters as Al is saying he will live where he wants and no one will stop him. I will, Max says.

Carlotta’s Diner

Jen comes in and blasts Cris for not telling her about Al. Cris apologizes and promises not to let Al’s living arrangement bother him.

Roxy’s House

Allison realizes she has just confessed on tape to running Jessica and Seth off the road. She tries to run away but Hank and Antonio meet her at the door. Hank drops the charges against Roxy and she offers to tell them the other things Allison has done. Allison grabs Roxy around the neck, claiming to be holding a knife to her throat. Allison tells Jessica to get them to let her go.

Antonio thinks Allison is bluffing about the knife but Jessica asks them to let her go. Hank rushes Allison and Antonio pulls Roxy away. She was holding Roxy hostage with a pen! Hank offers to arrest Roxy for trying to extort money from Jessica – if she is willing to press charges. Roxy doesn’t think Jessica will press charges – she still believes Jessica is giving her money for her medical bills. Seth reminds Roxy the story was a plant. Roxy is bummed that the story isn’t true. Jessica declines to press charges. Hank and Antonio take Allison to jail.

Jessica stays behind to talk to Roxy. She blasts her ‘mother’ for what she has done. Jessica won’t be giving Roxy a cent. She turns to leave and Roxy begs her to stay – it’s like losing Rex all over again. Who is Rex? Jessica asks. 

Llanview PD

Antonio books Allison and she tells him ‘I did a bad thing. 

Palace Hotel

Jordan is inside Viki’s room with an unconscious Ben. ‘Viki’ asks Renee to let her into her room so she can retrieve a file. Renee stops before opening the door. She wants to discuss Viki’s conversation with Asa at Crossroads. Viki says she didn’t want Asa to interrupt her ‘plan’ for Ben that night. Renee apologizes for Asa’s misconception.

Jordan wonders what is taking ‘Viki’ so long as Ben starts to come around. Renee is about to open the door when Asa arrives on the scene. He wants to talk to Viki about the lies she has been telling – now! ‘Viki’ is dismayed that her plan has been disrupted yet again. Asa demands to know what game Viki is playing with his relationship with Ben. He accuses Viki of lying about Ben’s desire to establish a relationship. ‘Viki’ offers to let Ben tell Asa the truth himself – and she turns to open the door to their room. Renee stops her – Ben does not need to prove himself to Asa. Asa storms off and Renee goes after him leaving ‘Viki’ with no one to witness Ben’s ‘infidelity.’

Viki grabs a maid, who lets her into the room. ‘Viki’ feigns shock when she sees Ben and Jordan. Ben is dressed – and calling for security. He tells ‘Viki’ about finding Jordan in his bed. He has called hotel security. ‘Viki’ doesn’t want cops involved and tells Jordan to just go away. Ben isn’t so willing to let it go. He thinks Jordan is a stalker and he wants her arrested. Jordan offers to tell him what’s really going on if he calls off the security. ‘Viki’ calls security and tells them it was a mistake. Ben is stunned by her actions. Jordan tells Ben she is no stalker – she’s a private investigator hired by his wife. Ben turns to ‘Viki’ who pretends to be shocked by Jordan’s accusation.

Line of the Day

Carlotta (about Keri’s financial trouble): I’ve never seen her in the same outfit twice – and that can really add up.
