One Life to Live Recap for Friday, March 22, 2002

Llanview Jail

Bo and Jen visit Lindsay, who is pretending she has reverted to childhood. Bo doesn’t buy her act for a minute but Jen is concerned. Hank arrives with Lindsay’s lawyer just in time to catch her act. He demands a full psychiatric exam for his client and arranges a transfer to St. Anne’s. Bo is furious since he knows it is just a stunt.

The Carriage House

Gabrielle walks in and sees Al standing – she is thrilled that he can walk again. Al tries to curb her enthusiasm and begs her not to tell anyone that he is able to walk. Gabrielle doesn’t understand his reluctance to tell Jen and Max. She tries to call Max but Al stops her. He can’t let Jen know he can walk because she will leave him.

Gabrielle begs her son to end the charade. Al is convinced that Jen would dump him in a New York minute if she knew he could walk. He just wants time to ‘make’ her fall in love with him – and get over Cris. Gabrielle tries to convince Al that Jen doesn’t deserve him if she wouldn’t stay with him if he could walk. Gabrielle points out that she is the queen of scams and they always fall apart when the truth comes out – and the truth does come out. She wants her son to benefit from her own experiences. Gabrielle pleads with her son to let everyone know he can walk. As they are arguing, Max comes in and asks what’s going on…

St. Anne’s

Viki meets Rae for her therapy session. She warns Rae not to let Niki leave if she is successful in bringing her out. Rae urges Viki to tell Ben but she refuses. Viki needs to know what Niki’s secret is about before she lets Ben know what is happening.

Viki maintains that she needs to get to the bottom of this for Jessica and Natalie’s sake. Rae wonders why Viki didn’t mention her other children. Viki says that Niki’s taunts involve Natalie and Jessica and she is frightened for her daughters.

Bo, Jen, Hank and the lawyer arrive with Lindsay. Bo demands to see Rae so she can expose this scam but Rae is in session with Viki and cannot be disturbed. Bo sends Jen home and promises to call her if anything happens. He warns Lindsay that this scam isn’t going to work. Hank tells him to back off or Lindsay’s plan may work.

Rae puts Viki under hypnosis and Niki emerges…

Nora’s House

Sam walks in on a close moment between Troy and Nora. He tries to leave but Nora stops him to explain. Sam isn’t interested and he says she can do whatever she likes as long as it doesn’t affect Matthew. Troy offers to leave them alone but Sam storms off.

Troy apologizes to Nora – he never meant to ruin her life with his pursuit of the truth. Nora confronts him about the damage his scheme has done to her life. Troy defends his actions and points out how he almost lost his life trying to get the truth for her. He challenges her to tell him that she didn’t want him to do exactly what he did. Nora maintains that the price was too high.

Nora admits she wanted Troy to get Lindsay to confess. She is annoyed with herself that her actions caused her to lose Sam but she doesn’t blame Troy. She asks Troy to leave. Jen shows up looking for Sam – Lindsay is in trouble.

The Palace Bar

Todd and Blair arrive with Starr to celebrate her heroism. Blair is appalled by Starr’s rude behavior to Renee but Todd tells her to humor Starr. She wants to go visit Dr. Troy to make sure he is okay. Todd doesn’t think that’s a very good idea.

Starr goes to the bar to ‘supervise’ Renee so Blair takes the opportunity to blast Todd for telling her to stay away from Sam. Todd thinks if Sam gets in the middle of Jack’s adoption, it will ruin everything. He promises Blair she will not lose Jack.

Starr has a fantasy that Bo and Hank declare ‘Starr Manning Day’ in honor of her rescue of Dr. Troy. She decides she wants to get a manicure and a facial. Todd is aghast but agrees to take her. Blair stays behind to run an errand.

Sam arrives for a meeting – which has been canceled – so he drowns his sorrows at the bar. Blair approaches him and asks what’s wrong. He tells her about his split with Nora. She offers to stay and be his friend. Sam comes on to her…

The Spa

A woman pretending to be interested in Starr’s adventures with the ‘man on the wheel’ approaches Todd and Starr. They brag about her exploits – taking taxis alone, sneaking out of the house and playing with poisonous spiders. Both are unaware that the ‘admirer’ is from child services. She informs Todd that he and Blair are being investigated for child endangerment.

Line of the Day

Bo (to Lindsay): This is a crock and you know it. You’re just trying to beat the rap for what you did to Nora.

Lindsay: You’re mean!
