One Life to Live Recap for Friday, March 1, 2002

Troy, Starr, Todd and Blair

Todd and Blair are still at the house arguing over who taught Starr how to lie and they don’t even know that she’s missing yet.  They argue over who told worse lies….was it Todd who lied about the baby, telling Blair that he was adopted legally at first…or lying to Starr when he told her that Blair loved Max more than her own daughter?  Or was Blair worse, lying to Todd about Max being the father of the baby and having Starr lie to him also…or lying to Asa about Max’s paternity?  They keep blaming each other for being the bigger liar and then Blair goes to check on Starr, only to discover her missing.  At first Blair wonders if the man Starr invented could be real and then Todd reminded her that Starr admitted she lied about that man.  Then they realize she has run away again and they go into a panic.  Todd calls his security men to search the grounds and Blair wants to call the police.  Todd wants to wait on calling the police.

At the funhouse, Starr is standing there looking Troy over and Troy totally thinks he’s hallucinating that he sees a child standing there.  He thinks the poison is working on him again because he thinks he sees her there.  She tries to tell him she’s real and at first he doesn’t believe it…calling her a little munchkin and telling her to go away.  Then she finally convinces him she’s real.  She hears him talking about the spider bite and she gets very exited and tells him she knows all about at least 100 different kinds of spiders.  She says she’ll look for the spider and he tells her not to.  He asks her how she got there and she tells him she was looking for Reptile Roundup but wound up there instead.  She said she knows this is a fun house, but he doesn’t look like he’s having much fun.  He gets very excited when he realizes she’s real and asks her to go outside and get her parents to come and help him.  She tells him her parents are not there and that she came in a cab.  When Troy asks her to get the cab driver, she tells him the cab driver left her there.  He notices that she has a cell phone and he tells her to call the police.  He tells her that if she helps him she will be a big hero and she likes this idea because it will get her a lot of attention from her parents.  She goes to dial and realizes she can’t get a signal in there…she is angry that once again her father has ignored her request for a phone upgrade.  He begs her to go outside and call the police.  She goes outside, but before she does, she asks him how he got on the wheel….and he tells her a very bad person put him there.  She goes outside and remembers her father telling her not to call the police when you can take care of something yourself.  She runs home and Todd and Blair are frantic worrying about her.  She tells them she found a man and they look at her in disbelief.

Keri/RJ/Antonio, etc.

Antonio is at the Diner trying to find out what happened to upset Keri so much.  Cris tells him that Carlotta was talking about he and Keri but that he didn’t think Keri heard them.  Antonio figures out that she must have heard what Carlotta said and he tells Carlotta that Keri heard every word.  Carlotta is not sorry that everything she feels is out in the open but Antonio is very angry and tells her that he was embarrassed that she walked out on dinner the way she did and that he loves Keri and Carlotta can’t change that.  They continue to argue and Carlotta will not back down.  Cris warns Antonio not to jump to the conclusion that Keri heard everything, but Antonio knows she did.

Back at RJ’s place, RJ walks in and finds Hank there with Keri crying.  RJ plays innocent and blames Hank for upsetting her.  Keri tells him it wasn’t Hank who upset her and RJ wonders what it was.  He says he thought everything was going well with the Vegas and the dinner and Keri tells him what happened.  He asks Hank to leave so he can be with his daughter and console her and he apologizes to Keri for coming home while the Vegas were there, even though secretly he’s very happy he caused trouble.  Keri tells him it wasn’t his fault…that it’s his home and he was a complete gentleman when he came by.  Just then someone knocks on the door and RJ figures it’s Hank again, so he answers the door and it’s Antonio.

Antonio wants to talk to Keri and RJ doesn’t really want to leave, but Antonio tells him he wants to talk to her alone.  RJ thinks that Keri is going to dump Antonio, so he agrees to leave.  Antonio tells Keri he knows what she overheard and asks why she didn’t tell him.  She says it’s because Carlotta is his mother.  Keri wonders if things can work out with Carlotta hating her and Antonio says that he gave his mother the lowdown…that he loves her and that she has no say in it.  Keri reluctantly accepts that and she and Antonio are together again….and they kiss.

Jen, Al, Natalie, Max

Jen and Al come to the bar and are sitting and talking.  Natalie comes over and Al tells her they are talking privately.  Natalie won’t leave and says she has a school project to discuss with Al.  Jen excuses herself and goes to talk to Max.  He thanks her for standing by his son and she says it’s ok and that she wants to be with him.

Back at the table, Natalie tells Al that time is running out and reminds him that if he doesn’t agree to help her break up Jessica and Seth, she’s going to tell Jen the truth about him being able to walk.  Feeling he has no choice, Al agrees to team up with Natalie.

Max talks to Al alone for a minute and tells him that he’s bringing in a spinal cord specialist to help him.  Al gets very upset and tells his father he doesn’t want that doctor anywhere near him.  Max says he should try it because this doctor is the best in the world and Al says he wants to just keep on with his therapy for now.  Max asks him to just think about seeing the other doctor and Al agrees to think about it.  Al thanks Max for trying to help and Max says it’s not trouble and that he loves him.

Nora, Lindsay, Sam

Nora is in the office wondering what the noise was that she heard.  Lindsay is hiding under the desk.  Nora sees a big book on the floor and figures that was the noise…the book falling on the floor.  She leaves the office then hears a cell phone ringing.  It’s Lindsay’s phone and Jen is trying to call, but Nora sees her own cell phone on the desk and realizes that’s where she left it earlier.  She figures it was her phone ringing.  Just then Sam comes in and Nora tries to explain the weird things that have been happening…the book, the phone ringing…she sounds very confused and decides not to try and explain it to Sam.  They go into the living room to talk.

Nora tells Sam that it’s about Lindsay.  Lindsay can hear their whole conversation, still hiding under the desk.  Nora tells Sam that Troy never loved Lindsay and that he had no intention of marrying her.  Sam is confused and wonders how Nora knows all of this.  She is trying to explain when Sam’s phone rings.  It’s Jen and she says she needs to talk to him so he tells Nora he has to go, but he’ll be back soon.  Nora lets him go and shuts the lights, heading upstairs to change clothes.  Lindsay sneaks out of the office and gets through the living room to the front door and just as she puts her hand on the doorknob to leave, Nora comes up behind her and puts her hand over Lindsay’s…staring her in the face.
