One Life to Live Recap for Monday, June 24, 2002

Jen, Natalie, Niki, Cris

Jen and Natalie are in the library still arguing over Jen having to chase Natalie down to the garden shed and Natalie swearing she was upstairs taking a nap.  Jen shows her the dirt she’s covered with and Natalie tells her she’s making up the whole story because she came there to make trouble.  Niki is outside the library listening to the whole thing loving the fact that her plan is going so well.  She decides it’s time to get rid of the wig and heads for the front door.  When she opens it, she’s shocked to find Cris standing there and drops the shopping bag.  Cris picks it up and hands it back to her not noticing what’s inside and Niki tells him it’s some work she’s doing for The Banner.  She tells him that Jessica is not home but he says he’s looking for Jen, whom he believes came to see Natalie.  He says he’s worried about the two of them and Niki says she is, too. They go inside and witness the argument and Cris immediately takes Natalie’s side, telling Jen that if Natalie says she wasn’t running to the garden shed, then she wasn’t.  Jen is shocked that Cris is defending Natalie.   Meanwhile, Natalie is totally confused and very upset because Jen has just shown her the jacket she was wearing which is now covered with dirt.  Cris is still trying to give Natalie the benefit of the doubt and Niki suggests that Cris and Jen go home so she and Natalie can talk.  Natalie and Niki are in the library and Niki is playing dumb, trying to console Natalie who thinks she just might be going crazy.  She runs out of the room and upstairs.  Cris and Jen are arguing at the front door.  Jen is very angry that he won’t take her side and she says she just came by to give Natalie back the hair clip she left at their apartment.  Cris says he’d have more sympathy for Jen if he believed that, but he knows she came to make trouble.  Jen still argues that Natalie shouldn’t be hanging all over HER boyfriend all the time and Cris says then it’s not ok for her to see Al…who is in love with her, tried to scam her, and is a liar.  Jen says that’s different and Cris says it’s not and that Jen better not tell him whom he can have as a friend.  He tells her to apologize to Natalie or he will.  She tells him not to apologize for her because she’s not sorry.  Jen leaves and Cris goes up to Natalie’s room to try and comfort her.

Chad and Emily

They are at the university and Chad is trying to fix Emily’s laptop.  She hopes he won’t mess it up and he tells her he’s great with computers.  Shawna and Molly are snooping and wondering who the new girl is, so when Chad goes to get something, they approach Emily and tell her that they are the IN crowd and Llanview U and they are the people to hang out with.  They ask who she is and she tells them she’s Troy’s sister and she’s there to visit and take some summer courses.  They ask if she knows about Troy being on the wheel and she says she knows about the woman who held him captive, but not about a wheel.  They tell her to hang out with them and invite her to a party.  She’s cautious about them.

Chad comes back and wonders what they said to Emily.  She said she just met them and they’re a lot like the kids at her old school.  Chad tells her to stay away from them because they do nothing but cause trouble for people and Shawna and Emily overhear this.  They get angry and when they get Emily alone again, they warn her about Chad.  Emily says she thinks he’s perfectly nice and they tell he that he sets up porn websites and if she doesn’t believe it, she should ask Cristian Vega.  When Chad comes back she tells him the awful things they said about him…she doesn’t believe it….and Chad is worried and keeps quiet.

Lindsay, Ben, Allison

Lindsay is begging Ben to pretend to be Dave because if Allison believes she’s Dave she’ll be happy. She tells Ben that Allison is totally off her rocker and has threatened to kill her.  She tells him Allison has a knife.  Ben says he’ll tell the warden.  Lindsay says that Allison gets anything she wants inside because her father used to be the warden and Ben is shocked to learn that.  Ben still refuses to play Dave.  Lindsay begs him to trust her and save her life, which he laughs at saying “trust you?” and Lindsay keeps begging. 

Allison comes to the visitor’s room and sees Ben talking to Lindsay.  She tells Lindsay to get away from him and Lindsay says she was just directing him.  Allison asks if he’s Dave or Ben and Ben doesn’t answer right away.  He finally gives in and pretends he’s Dave and Allison is thrilled.  She tells Lindsay to get lost and sits down with Dave.  He tells her it’s creepy in there and she doesn’t belong in there.  He tells her that she’s pretty when she’s being nice but her face gets scary when she’s being mean.  He wants to talk to her about Viki and she tells him not to worry about Viki because she has more money than God and he tells her that money can’t buy everything….it can’t buy love.  He asks her not to do anything mean to Viki and then they can be close like they used to.  Allison agrees to be nice and Dave leaves.

Lindsay thanks him then goes to see Allison who is very excited about Dave’s visit.  She believes that Dave was telling her to bust out of that place and that’s what she’s going to do.  Lindsay is thrilled.

Rae and Hank

Rae is talking to Judith, telling her that Keri and Antonio can’t find Mark.  Rae is very worried and says she’ll keep in touch and then she gets up, bumps right into Hank and faints.  She comes to and Hank is very worried about her.  She tells him she’s fine and he doesn’t believe her, but she keeps insisting and he lets her go.  She tells him she’s going away for a while and he asks if she’ll be back for the Woman of the Year dinner and she says she will.

She heads for the airport and there are no more seats on the plane to Maui.  She tries to buy someone’s ticket from them but they won’t sell it.  Asa finds her there and realizes what she’s doing and he manages to get her a ticket, making it one-way…hoping that she doesn’t come back and his therapy will be over.  She takes the ticket and heads for Hawaii.

Keri and Antonio

Keri is upset that they could not find Mark and Antonio takes her back to their room where he has a surprise for her.  He has found a bunch of school yearbooks for them to go through.  He has already found Rae in one and they start searching the books for Mark.  Antonio appears to recognize someone in one of the books.
