At the Gallery

Troy has center stage and is doing his Colin imitation.  No one seems to take notice of it except Nora who waits to see what he’ll do next.  He drops the Colin act and makes a speech about how much he appreciates the one woman who has done so much for him…the one woman who is responsible for helping him make up for some of what his brother did to everyone.  Nora is looking at him like she thinks he’s talking about her and then he announces that it’s Lindsay.  She comes up to him and gets a round of applause.  She makes a little speech also, saying that she’s done a lot of fund raisers in Chicago but none as good as this one because of Troy McIver.  Everyone goes back to mingling.

Ben is talking with Larry and Renee.  They are talking about the new clinic and Larry says that he wants Ben to be a part of it.  Ben says he couldn’t because he doesn’t have a license any more and Renee says that’s only a technicality because he didn’t really lose his license for legitimate reasons anyway.  Larry tries to get Ben to agree to come back to medicine and Ben says he’ll have to think about it.  Just then, Larry’s cell phone rings and Ben says that’s one thing he doesn’t miss.

Natalie is talking to Jess and Seth at the door and asks if they’re on a date.  Jess says she didn’t think Natalie would be there.  Natalie asks her what she’s doing there and Jess says she was invited and that she invited Seth.  Natalie says that her mother invited her and Jess just looks at her.  Viki comes up to them and confirms that she did invite Natalie and that she’s glad Jessie came.  She hopes they can all find a way to enjoy the evening and be there together.  Natalie says she doesn’t have any problem with them being there and Jess and Seth go to look at the artwork.  Viki asks Natalie if she’s really all right and she says that she is.  Viki doesn’t really believe her and tells Ben she thinks it’s still hard for Natalie to see Jess and Seth together but that she’s trying very hard to get along with everyone.

Jessica and Seth are looking at a tiny Japanese statue and Jess admires it.  Seth says he wishes he could buy her things like that, but when he looks at the price tag it’s very expensive.  She tells him she didn’t admire it because she wanted him to buy it for her and that he should treat the gallery like a museum…not like a store.  Natalie is behind them without them knowing it and sees Jess admire the statue.  After Seth and Jessica walk away, Natalie goes up and takes the statue and puts it in her purse.  A while later, Seth and Jess decide to leave.  Jess tells Ben to just tell Viki she said goodnight because if she tells her herself, Viki will try to convince her to stay.  Seth goes to get their coats and when he comes back, Ben helps Jessie with her coat and Seth puts on his jacket and all of a sudden the little statue is on the floor, as if it fell out of his pocket.  Jess asks what that is on the floor.

Sam talks with Nora and asks her if she’s mad because of Troy being so obviously with Lindsay or because of the feelings Troy still has for her.  Nora has no answer.

Claire, the hospital administrator, is admiring a diamond ring that is on display and Lindsay comes over.  She says if it weren’t so expensive, she’d want to buy it for herself.  Troy overhears and a while later, he pulls Lindsay aside.  Nora is close enough to see what’s going on and she sees Troy with Lindsay.  He tells Lindsay that she is the woman for him and wants to ask her an important question.  He opens the ring and offers it to her and asks her to marry him.  She is speechless.  Nora is looking on in shock.

Al, Max, Jen and Cris

Max is at the hospital with Al and Al is so happy because he tells Max that Jen is leaving Cris for him.  He tells Max that since he now owns the Break Bar, he wants him to promise that Cris will keep his job and his apartment because it’s all he’ll have left after losing Jen.  Max is concerned that Al believes Jen will be with him forever.  Al says she promised that she would be and that he’s so in love with her.  He tells Max that he knows she loved him when they made love at the quarry.  Max tells him that even if she stays with him, it doesn’t mean she loves him.  Al believes she will and that she is his reason to live.  Max tells him he already had a reason to live.  Max sees how happy Al is and decides to just go along with Al and not upset him.

Jen is with Cris at their apartment and she tells him it’s over between them.  Cris says it can’t be and she says it has to be.  It’s the only way she can live with the guilt over what happened to Al.  Cris questions whether she can live the rest of her life with a man she doesn’t love.  She says she cares for Al.  Cris says that’s not love…what they have is love and she admits she will love him forever, but they can’t be together.  She goes to hand him her keys to the place, telling him she’ll have her father or someone come for her things.  He won’t take the keys.  She begs him to take the keys and he pulls her into his arms and kisses her.  She gets into the kiss, but then pulls away, saying that they just can’t be together…and she leaves.

Todd, Blair and David Vickers

Todd is trying to get rid of David and wonders how David got into the country when he was not supposed to be allowed back.  David says he made a deal with the IRS and now he’s going to make a deal with Todd.  He is, of course, threatening to tell Blair the truth about the baby and Todd tells him she already knows.  David doesn’t believe him and tells him he wants a million dollars to keep quiet.  Todd refuses any more money and Blair comes out.  She wonders what he’s doing there and he comments on the baby.  She tells him she’s glad they adopted Jack and David is surprised that he’s adopted.  Blair tells David that he already knows she lost her baby in Mexico….he starts to tell her something about the baby and Todd tries to get rid of him again, saying he doesn’t want any part of his business deal.  Blair tells Todd not to do business with David and she goes upstairs.  David now has proof that Blair doesn’t know about the baby and he agrees to go away for less money.  Todd slams him up against the door, and while choking him, tells him never to mess with him or his family again.

Bo and Asa

Asa comes to Bo’s place and wants to make amends.  He tells Bo that he has done a good think by paying Al’s hospital bills and Bo doesn’t really care.  He says Asa owes him at least that much since he adopted him.  Asa doesn’t understand why Bo won’t warm up to him.  He tells Bo he had to do what he did because Max and Gabby were going to kill him.  Bo tells him he knows that Asa married Gabby so he could set up Max for murder and when Max and Gabby fell for each other, he set them both up.  Asa tries to make it up to Bo by giving him the real deed to his lodge and Bo refuses it.  Asa vows that he’ll get his family back and Bo says he can try.  He asks Asa to leave and Asa says “I’m not  Asa, I’m you’re Pa.”  Bo tells him that his Pa died back on that island.  Asa storms out and rips up the deed in the hallway.
