One Life to Live Recap for Friday, January 25, 2002

Llanfair

Viki admits to Natalie that she cares about her. Natalie has never had someone who cared about her – except Seth. Natalie wonders how she will ever get over Seth. Viki tells her it will just take time. Natalie doesn’t want to lose Seth, but Viki reminds her that she doesn’t have much choice in the matter. She can’t dictate Seth’s feelings.

Ben invites Natalie to join them for the hospital fundraiser. Natalie is surprised they would want to be seen in public with her after Asa’s funeral. Viki says only Natalie has to live with what she did. Ben and Viki convince her to join them. Natalie is excited and heads upstairs to get changed.

Cris & Jen’s Loft

Jessica drops by to talk to Cris about what’s happening with Al and Jen. Jessica reminds him that what happened to Al was an accident and that Jen really loves him. Cris is doubtful and tells Jessica that things have changed. He is having a hard time getting over the fact that Jen slept with Al. He also tells Jessica that he overheard Jen telling Al that she would never leave him and Cris is afraid he is losing Jen.

Jessica tries to reassure him, but Cris points out that they didn’t make it. Jessica says the circumstances were different and tells him everything will work out. Cris thanks her for her concern and Jessica leaves to meet Seth. She runs into him in the hallway and invites him to go with her to the fundraiser.

Troy’s Loft

Lindsay walks in on Troy and Nora’s discussion about his plan. Troy covers and says it’s legal business. Nora tells Lindsay that Troy is lying to her but Lindsay doesn’t believe it. Nora says she came to warn Troy about getting involved with Lindsay. Lindsay lashes out at Nora, accusing her of being jealous. Nora is amused by the accusation – everyone who has ever loved Lindsay has run away from her. Lindsay feels sorry for Sam being stuck with Nora.

Troy tells Lindsay to back off. He claims to know everything about Lindsay and asks Nora to stop badmouthing her. Nora apologizes to Troy and leaves. Troy butters Lindsay up and swears he isn’t interested in Nora any longer. Troy is annoyed by Lindsay’s insecurities and she agrees to let it go for now. While they are kissing on the couch, Troy accidentally sits on the remote and Colin’s will starts to play – luckily on mute. Troy manages to turn it off before Lindsay notices. He sends her back to the fundraiser promising her a night she will never forget.

When Lindsay leaves Nora barges back in to finish their conversation, much to Troy’s amusement. Troy shows Nora more of the tape but she turns it off and asks him what he plans to do. Troy tells her to be at the fundraiser and be ready for a surprise. Nora storms out and Troy continues watching Colin.

Lindsay’s Gallery

Sam arrives for the fundraiser and wonders why Lindsay, Troy and Nora haven’t shown up. He tries to call Nora and gets no answer.

David makes an appearance and greets Renee. She is less than thrilled to see him. David says he is not here running a scam – he’s looking for a friend.

Ben and Viki are enjoying the event with Natalie. She goes off to look at the paintings and runs into David, who invites her to leave with him. Viki catches him. She tells David that Natalie is her daughter and warns him to stay away from her. David is confused about Viki’s new daughter but rather than explain, Viki tells him to get lost.

Ben questions Larry about Roxy’s health records. Larry hasn’t found anything yet, but promises to look into it.

Lindsay returns to the fundraiser and taunts Sam that she found Nora ‘with’ Troy. Lindsay says Nora was warning Troy about ‘mean, nasty Lindsay.’ She tells Sam he is being naïve about Nora’s interest in Troy. Nora shows up, followed closely by Troy. Sam scowls at both of them.

Jessica shows up with Seth, much to Natalie’s chagrin.

Troy commands everyone’s attention and starts into his ‘Colin’ act as Nora watches him suspiciously.

Todd & Blair’s Mansion

Todd is talking to Jack and assuring him that Paloma is gone for good. Blair walks in on their little discussion. Blair takes the baby and Todd answers the door – it’s Gabrielle.

Gabrielle tries to talk Todd into giving her a job as a fashion editor. Todd turns her down, so she threatens to tell Blair about Todd’s attempt to frame her for Asa’s murder. Blair says it won’t be necessary, she heard every word. Todd tries to explain but Blair isn’t upset by what he did. Gabrielle reminds Blair that she would have ended up in jail if Todd’s plan had worked. Blair says they hurt each other but they are married now so the other stuff doesn’t matter. Blair says Bo had already told her about the poison. She knows all of Todd’s dirty little secrets and she loves him anyway.

Gabrielle pleads with Todd to give her a job to help pay for Al’s medical bills. Todd declines and throws her out.

Todd and Blair are playing with the baby. The doorbell rings and Todd answers it – it’s David!

Llanview Hospital

Max sees Jen with Al and asks to speak with her in private. Max apologizes for Gabrielle’s words and thanks her for standing by Al. Jen promises to do whatever she can to help Al recover. Max urges her to stick by Al and give him a reason to beat the odds and walk again.

Jen goes back in to see Al but he tells her she doesn’t have to stay with him. He doesn’t want to just be her friend and confesses that he loves her. Jen promises to stick by him – in whatever way he needs her. What about Cris? Al wonders. He warns Jen that she can’t have both men in her life. Jen says she has things to take care of and rushes out.

Al asks Max for a favor regarding Cris…

David: I came to see you, Renee!
