The Funhouse

The spider bites Troy when Lindsay slams in demanding to know where he hid the tape. Lindsay pretends to be sympathetic when Troy tells her the spider’s bite is poisonous. She asks what to do and he says he needs to get to the hospital ASAP. Lindsay starts to release him but stops because she thinks he is tricking her.

Lindsay vows to find the tape but Troy assures her the police will find it first and she will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Lindsay bargains with Troy – tell me where the tape is and I’ll take you to the hospital. Not a chance, Troy says. He thinks she would destroy the evidence and let him die. He would rather die than let Lindsay get away with what she did to Nora. Lindsay thinks if the spider bite was really deadly, he would beg for his life. She deduces that since he is so desperate to get to the hospital, the tape must be in his office. Troy denies that’s where the tape is, but Lindsay is convinced and she heads off to see for herself. She promises to return when she has destroyed the tape. Troy thinks it will be too late for him…

Break Bar

Al is desperate to get up to Cris’ apartment to keep Natalie from telling the truth about his injury. Jen doesn’t understand what the big fuss is about. Seth tells them the elevator is free and Al rushes off.

Cristian’s Loft

Natalie is intent on telling Cris the truth about Al’s ‘paralysis.’ She tries to tell him but Jessica interrupts them. Natalie tries to tell Jessica about Al but she cuts Natalie off and leaves. Natalie tells Cris that Al is playing all of them for fools. Cris protests when she tries to tell him he’s not responsible.

Break Bar

Seth tells Jessica that his replacement called in sick, so he has to work. Jessica doesn’t plan to let that ruin their date – she’ll work with him.

Cristian’s Loft

Natalie is trying to make Cris listen to her when Al bangs on the door. Natalie tries to stop him but he lets Al in. Natalie challenges him to tell Cris and Jen his ‘good’ news. Al asks to speak to Natalie alone. They go into the hallway and Jen goes inside to talk to Cris.

Natalie taunts Al about Cris and Jen being alone together. Al begs Natalie not to tell Jen the truth. He doesn’t believe Cris really loves Jen – but Al does. He wants Natalie to keep his secret so he has a chance with Jen. Natalie doesn’t think it’s right for Al to hide the truth from Jen just to hold onto her. Al defends his actions.

Cris tells Jen that he ran into her mother in Troy’s apartment. Jen is confused – she thought they were in Paris. Cris says her mother didn’t want him to tell her but he thought she should know. Jen thinks she should track her mother down. Cris offers to help, but Jen turns him down. As she is leaving, she encounters Al and Natalie. Natalie has something to tell all of them…

Troy’s Office

Nora comes by looking for Troy but she finds Ben. Nora doesn’t know where Troy is but Ben says he may have found a clue. He holds up a scarf Lindsay gave to Troy for the trip. Nora reads the note but it provides no clues as to where they are staying in Paris.

Nora makes an excuse that she stopped by to pick up Matthew’s medical records. Ben points out that she could have had them faxed to her. Nora confesses that she is worried about Troy. Ben says he knows about Troy and why she is worried. Ben’s theory is that Troy is a big part of Nora’s life because he is Matthew’s doctor. Nora is relieved that Ben doesn’t know the real reason. Ben is still annoyed that Troy ran off without making arrangements to have someone cover his patients while he is away.

Ben finds the file he is looking for and leaves. Nora looks through Troy’s appointment files in his computer, hoping to find a clue as to his whereabouts. Lindsay finds her there and hides in the shadows…

The Diner

Viki sneaks up on Carlotta, who is reading the personals – not for herself, but for Antonio. She tells Viki that Keri is RJ’s daughter – thank heavens Antonio broke up with her. Viki thinks Carlotta should let Antonio find the perfect woman on his own.

Rae and Hank discuss her clients and Hank’s inability to connect with Keri. He also tells her that about his past relationship with Carlotta. Rae is surprised.

Viki reminds Carlotta how things turned out when they tried to interfere with Cris and Jessica. Carlotta doesn’t think it’s the same thing with Antonio – she’s not interfering since they have already broken up. Carlotta calls Antonio’s apartment, but he lets the machine get it.

Viki thinks Carlotta should resist the urge to interfere. She tells Carlotta about her objections to Seth – but she is letting Jessica make her own choice. Carlotta is determined; she leaves to drop off groceries at Antonio’s apartment.

Antonio’s Apartment

Keri drops by to visit Antonio. They listen to Latino music and end up making love. Antonio promises that he will never let anyone come between them again. As they are cuddling, Carlotta bursts through the door. Keri is mortified and Carlotta is stunned.

Line of the Day

Carlotta (discussing Antonio’s love life): I don’t know about perfect, but I would be happy with a nice girl who can cook!

Viki: Yeah, you’re dreaming.
