Troy’s Loft

Cris interrupts Lindsay as she ransacks Troy’s apartment looking for the tape. He picks up the phone to call the police, but Lindsay stops him. Cris wants to know why Lindsay would trash her own fiancé’s loft.

Lindsay claims she was looking for Troy’s passport. Wouldn’t it make more sense for Troy to look for it himself? Cris asks. Troy is a bit tied up at the moment, Lindsay says. She tells Cris that Troy called right before he arrived and told her he had found the passport. Cris is dubious and he asks why Lindsay is so jittery. She claims she is just nervous about her impending nuptials.

Lindsay asks Cris for a favor – don’t tell Jen that he saw her in Troy’s loft. Lindsay doesn’t want Jen to worry about her. Cris doesn’t understand why he can’t tell her but agrees to keep the info to himself. What is Troy going to think when he sees the mess Lindsay has made? He’ll understand, Lindsay says. She leaves to meet Troy.

The Sun

Blair is questioning Todd about getting info on Jack’s health background. Gabrielle taunts Blair that she should want to know everything about her son. Blair snipes back that even though Jack isn’t her biological son, at least he knows he is loved – unlike Gabrielle’s son, who can’t stand to be in the same room with her!

Gabrielle threatens to show Blair something. Todd grabs it out of her hand and tells Blair she doesn’t need to see it. Blair rips open the envelope to discover a very unflattering picture of her taken at the opening of Capricorn. Gabrielle wants to run it in the next edition. Todd tells her to get lost and tosses the picture in the trash.

Todd tells Blair not to worry about Gabrielle. He has a plan – he’s giving her a promotion. Blair is trying to figure out what Todd is up to when she gets a frantic call from Starr and heads home to see what the problem is.

Todd & Blair’s Mansion

Starr is looking for her parents and is not surprised to learn that they have gone to the office – with Jack in tow. Starr tells the nanny that she thinks she should get more attention because she has been around longer. She calls her mother and begs her to come home – then hangs up.

Blair comes home and Starr says she needs her mother. Blair explains that she was working and Starr shouldn’t call her just because she’s lonely. She goes to put Jack down for a nap when Starr becomes hysterical claiming she saw a scary man outside her window. Blair comforts her as Starr revels in the attention. The nanny returns and sees what Starr is up to.

Blair assures Starr that she isn’t going to let anyone harm her. She leaves to make Starr some hot cocoa. Blair blasts the nanny for not being more alert. The nanny confronts Starr who warns her to keep her mouth shut if she wants to keep her job. Blair tells the nanny to watch Jack so she can spend time with her daughter. Starr is thrilled.

The Sun

Todd calls the hospital pretending to be Blair and asking for her medical records. Gabrielle overhears him. Todd gives Gabrielle her next ‘assignment’ – a one-way ticket to Australia. She declines the offer and insists they brainstorm ideas for the new fashion page. Gabrielle wants to do a feature on the best dressed – her – and worst dressed – Renee. Todd doesn’t like Renee but he doesn’t have a beef with her and he won’t allow Gabrielle to use his newspaper to carry on her vendettas. Todd berates her for blackmailing him and throws her out of his office. Gabrielle leaves, but not before snatching the picture of Blair out of the trash.

Todd’s day just gets better when Max stops by. He wants to run an ad. Gabrielle comes back and offers to help Max. Todd uses the opportunity to escape. Max deduces that Gabrielle has something on Todd. She denies it and wants to know why Max is delivering the ad in person. Max says he wanted to see her about Al. He thinks Gabrielle should lay off of Jen because she makes Al happy and that’s the most important thing. Gabrielle agrees and Max leaves.

Carriage House

Natalie is stunned to see Al standing.  He tries to convince her that it’s no big deal. Natalie helps him back into his chair and Al insists it was a fluke – he would have fallen if she hadn’t come along. Natalie is excited that Al can stand and doesn’t understand why he is so reticent about it. She tries to leave to tell Jen the good news, but Al tells her to wait. Natalie doesn’t understand why Al isn’t excited to share the news with Jen. He says he wants to be checked out by a doctor first.

Al tells Natalie not to tell Jen anything about what she saw. Natalie is sure Jen will be thrilled – even if it’s not a complete recovery, it’s good news.

Jen encounters Max as she is about to go inside. She informs him that Al is doing really well in getting around in his wheelchair. Max reminds her that any progress Al makes is because of her. Max is surprised that Al hasn’t shared his ‘good news’ with Jen. She promises not to tell Al that his father spilled the beans. Max apologizes for pressuring Jen at the hospital. He is pleased that Al is making progress but doubtful that he will walk again. Max thanks Jen for helping his son.

Jen goes inside and Natalie is jumping for joy about Al’s good news. He claims that he is having a paper published and sends Jen off to fill a prescription for him. Natalie demands to know why he isn’t telling Jen that he can walk. She knows that as soon as Jen finds out Al can walk, she will go back to Cris. Natalie insists she is going to tell Cris because he is her friend. Cris has a right to know what is happening. Al tries to stop her but Natalie heads off to find Cris.

Al frantically calls Cris and slams down the phone when he gets the machine. Jen comes back with the prescription and Al insists they go to Cristian’s loft – now! Jen is confused.

Break Bar

Jen doesn’t understand why it is so urgent that Al speak with Cris. He says he has something very personal to discuss. Seth overhears them talking and tells Al he will have to wait for the elevator – it’s in use. Al goes ballistic, insisting he needs to get upstairs now!

Cristian’s Loft

Natalie arrives as Cris is going inside. She tells him she has something very important to discuss with him…

The Funhouse

Troy tries desperately to get free of his shackles so he can get to the tape before Lindsay finds it. He is horrified to see a poisonous spider climbing up his chest. Troy tries to stay quiet so the spider doesn’t bite him. The spider is startled when Lindsay storms in and it bites Troy…

Line of the Day

Gabrielle: I don’t need a position ‘down under.’

Todd: That’s not what I heard.
