Antonio and Troy are sitting in Troy’s office, as a tormented Antonio tries to find out as much as he possibly can about a paternity test. Antonio asks about finding information about the deceased "father" (Steve) and how they could get some kind of sample of his blood in order to confirm paternity. Antonio asked if they had to wait until after the baby was born in order to be safe about this paternity test, but Troy said they didn’t have to wait. Since Keri had already had an amnio (amniocentesis- testing done on the baby in-utero if doctors suspect something being wrong with the baby. It isn’t totally safe, so if it is unnecessary, doctors won’t recommend it), they already had a sample of the baby’s blood. That would have been the hard part, if they would have had to wait until the baby’s birth in order to figure this stuff out. Antonio spoke hypothetically throughout most of the conversation, but he did let Troy know his suspicion that he didn’t think that Steve was the father of the baby. Antonio was worried about the baby’s condition, if both Liz and Antonio were carrier’s for the genetic disorder, then the baby had more of a chance of being born with this disability. Troy said that all that would have to be done was getting a blood sample from Steve, and then comparing the two. Troy mentioned that there was another way: he said that if the person who thought he was the father of the baby came forward and gave a blood sample, they could compare the results to the baby’s that way. Troy said that this wasn’t really his field, and that he wasn’t good at answering these questions, so he referred Antonio to a genetic counselor. Antonio called (out of Troy’s earshot) and asked to set up an appointment.Lindsay and Jen were at Jen’s apartment, and they were talking about Troy and the big secret. Jen asked her mother why she hadn’t told Nora about Joanna, and Lindsay didn’t really have an answer. Jen finally was able to pry out the information, and Lindsay spilled that she thought that somewhere deep inside of Troy, he still had feelings for Lindsay. She felt it every time they were in the same room, as he would always be very close in her personal space. Sam came over and invited Jen to spend Christmas with him, but Jen turned him down, saying that she would be spending Christmas in HER home with Cristian. (Does she not know that he hasn’t been home in days?) Sam left, and Lindsay said that she should reconsider, but Jen told her that she was just waiting for the right moment to lasso Cristian back into their home. The conversation turned back to Troy, as Jen could not believe that Lindsay actually thought that Troy had feelings for her. Lindsay shared that somewhere inside, she thought that Troy would spend Christmas Eve with her. Jen thought the idea was preposterous.
Nora was on a mission to figure out what secret Lindsay and Troy are hiding, so she had narrowed down her search to Daphne’s jewelry shop. This is the jewelry shop where Lindsay had the copy of Troy’s amulet made. Nora and Keri went over to the store with the intention of doing a bit of investigating. Keri distracted Daphne by pretending to be a customer and getting Daphne to go and find different products for her from other parts of the store, giving Nora room to look around and see if she could find anything that linked Troy and Lindsay to the shop. With a few hitches in the plan (Daphne coming back into the room where Nora was searching for answers), Keri was finally able to get the owner into the back of her store. Nora went into Daphne’s desk and found the guest book from the last year, and she saw that Lindsay and Troy had been in the shop on the same day. She continued to wonder what Troy was hiding. Daphne came back in the room and caught Nora red-handed with the files from her desk. Daphne threatened to call the police, but Keri intervened and said that Nora really hadn’t done anything "wrong." Keri argued that Nora didn’t actually steal anything, and that it would be hard to find reasons to press charges. The store owner told Nora to get out and never return to her shop. Nora obliged, as she had gotten all the information she needed.
Nora went straight over to Troy’s office, where he and Antonio were just finishing up their conversation. Antonio left, and Troy greeted Nora with a big smile and told her that he was happy to see her. She stood by the door, and asked him why he had been lying to her. Troy froze, thinking that Lindsay had said something to her about Joanna. Nora said that she had just come from Daphne’s and that she found out that he and Lindsay had been at the store on the same day. Troy was genuinely surprised to hear this, and he told her so. He said that he really had no idea that they had both been there on the same day, and that he had no earthly idea if it was a coincidence on Lindsay’s end. He said that as far as he was concerned, it was a huge coincidence, because he really didn’t know she was there or anything like that. Nora finally gave up her battle, because she believed Troy was telling the truth. Nora asked him what he was doing at the store that day anyway, and just as Troy was going to answer her question, he was beeped, and had to go see a patient. Nora thought she would wait around for him to return so that they could continue talking.
Sam entered in Troy’s office looking for Troy. He and Nora talked and caught up on what was going on in their lives. Nora mentioned that she was still bothered by Lindsay’s antics and that she just wasn’t settled on the situation. Sam mused about what Lindsay was doing, and Nora asked him what he meant. Sam said that Lindsay had just been acting so strangely as of recent, and he had no idea what was going on with her. He said that he had asked her many times what she was doing, but that she always had some non-descript answer to give him. Sam mentioned how especially strange Lindsay was acting on that particular day, after visiting Troy in his office. Nora perked up, and asked Sam when this occurred. He said it happened earlier in the day, and Nora’s suspicions rose again, since Troy had mentioned nothing of this visit. Sam commented about how weird Lindsay had been acting during the visit, and when he asked her about what she was doing there, she said that she had just gone to wish him a Merry Christmas. Nora was really reveling in this now, because she knew that Troy was hiding something if he didn’t mention that Lindsay had been in his office a few short hours earlier. Sam said that he had to go, and they said goodbye. Nora, now alone in the office, starts going through Troy’s desk. She tries to find his date book, but in the process finds something else that caught her attention (We aren’t quite sure what it is). After looking at it, she looks completely shocked.
Lindsay went to the jewelry shop, after being contact by Daphne. Daphne let her know that there was a woman snooping around her office earlier, and Lindsay knew right away that it was Nora Buchannan.
Viki found Jessica and Mitch, and Jessica had just been told that Mitch was her father. She asked Viki if it was true, and Viki said that it was the truth. Jessica was completely at a loss, because of what her mother had done. Mitch kept on trying to throw in words of deceit about Viki, but finally Viki told him he had to get out. He said he would leave but only with Jessica. Viki wouldn’t have that, and she told him to leave them alone to talk. Mitch said that was fine, as long as Viki was actually going to tell the truth for once. (He is furthering his goal to make Viki to be the bad person, here.). He leaves, and Viki goes over to comfort Jessica. Jessica told her not to touch her, and Viki was shocked. Viki said that Jessica must hear the story from her, and not the version that Mitch Lawrence told her. Jessica asked her why she didn’t tell her in the first place, when she found out. Viki said that she didn’t know how to tell her, and that she was just trying to find the right way, and also to make sure that she had all of the evidence that she needed. Jessica realized that Seth knew, and she asked how Viki could tell Seth and not her. Viki said that Seth wasn’t going to take her out of town, so Viki had to tell Seth the truth so that he would understand. Jessica was just in disbelief over the entire situation, and Viki said that she needed to tell the truth about what happened. Viki explained that Mitch drugged and raped her, but that she didn’t remember it. Then, in the delivery room, Viki gave birth to Natalie first, and Clint left the room with her, since they had no idea that she was carrying twins. Then, Mitch came in and she gave birth to Jessica and Mitch walked out with her. Jessica asked why Viki didn’t stop him from taking her, but Viki said that she didn’t know. (Am I the only person who remembers that Dr. Balsom, one of Mitch’s cronies, had drugged Viki so she wasn’t able to remember much of the births at all????) Viki said that Niki Smith knew what had happened, and that she had tormented her with the information for a long time. Jessica got her hopes up and asked if Niki was the one who gave birth to the girls, and that was why Viki didn’t remember? Viki said no, she had given birth and not Niki. Jessica’s face fell, believing that her mother let a cult leader walk out of the delivery room and she didn’t do anything to stop him. Jessica declares that she never wants to see her mother again.
Rex, Cristian, and Natalie were talking about the whereabouts of Jessica. Rex said that he really wanted to find her because he was just so worried about her. Seth came in the room and said that if they didn’t find her, he would kill Rex. Rex asked incredulously what he had done (for once, he actually thought he had been "good" and not manipulative), and Seth said that he was the one who told Jessica that Natalie was married to Mitch Lawrence, and that was the reason she was so determined to get back to Llanview. Rex said that Jessica called him, and that he didn’t know that Natalie’s marriage was a secret. Seth said that he ruined everything, and that he would really hurt him if something happened to Jessica. The two of them start battling it out, and Cristian breaks them up. Natalie and Cristian remind them that they all want the same thing, and that fighting with one another isn’t going to find Jessica any faster. Seth left, and a few moments later, so did Rex. Natalie and Cristian went out on the porch, and started talking about their plans to be together, and to rid themselves of Mitch Lawrence and Jen. Cristian said that he was going to go over to Jen’s right then and tell her it is over. Natalie said that he needed to be careful because of Mitch’s threat to kill him. Cristian said that he would be fine, and that she didn’t need to worry. They enjoyed a moment of peace, and then went back inside. Little did they know that Mitch was outside listening to their entire conversation....
Mitch goes directly over to Jen’s apartment, where she was "waiting" for Cristian to return. Mitch said that he knew exactly how they could help each other now, and it was time to act on it.
