Bo and Antonio had Roxy in Bo’s office, because they needed her help in order to find out more information about her husband’s death. Bo handed her the report from the earlier investigation of Dr. Balsom’s death, and asked her to look through it. Bo told Roxy that the police thought that perhaps her husband had been run off of the road, but that there was never enough evidence to point in any direction. Bo asked if Dr. Balsom had ever been afraid of Mitch Lawrence. Roxy replied that everyone was afraid of him and what he could do. She recalled that the last night her husband was alive, she overheard him on the phone talking to someone. She could hear him say that he was going to blow some secret and tell everyone what he knew. Roxy said that she didn’t know what that meant, but that she knew it wasn’t good. Bo thanked her for coming out and sent her off. Bo and Antonio discussed how they could figure out if Mitch was involved with the death of Dr. Balsom, and the nurses in the delivery room. Of course, since there is no statute of limitations on murder, they could still convict him if they get the evidence.
At Llanfair, Cristian and Viki discussed why Natalie would be willing to stay with Mitch Lawrence, and they both came to the conclusion that she must be trying to protect someone. Cristian thought that she must be protecting Viki or Jessica, but Viki believed that Natalie was protecting Cristian. Cristian couldn’t understand why, but Viki explained that Mitch preyed on the weakness of his victims. In Natalie’s case, her weakness was Cristian. Cristian realized why Natalie had been trying to make such a big point about pushing him away and kissing Mitch in front of him. Viki said that the only thing for them to do would be to go to the police and have them help. She knew that Mitch Lawrence was a force with which you could not reckon, unless you had major back up. Cristian was concerned that involving the police might get Natalie in trouble, but Viki said that she would not use any sort of action without first making sure that it was in the best interest of all those involved. Once she convinced Cristian that it was the right thing to do, they went down to the police station. There, Bo had just finished up with Roxy, so he and Antonio were trying to piece together a very difficult puzzle. Viki and Cristian explained the situation to Bo and Antonio, and told them that they thought that Natalie was in very great danger. Cristian immediately wanted to go, find Natalie, and bring her home where she would be safe. Bo told him that that would not be a good idea, considering that an action like that would make Mitch Lawrence very angry. Cristian still thought that he should go and rescue Natalie, but Antonio was able to calm him down. He told Cristian that Bo was right, and that he should really calm down and wait until they had strong evidence against Mitch. That way they could put him away and not have to worry about him hurting anyone else.
Natalie was at a coffee bar trying to clear her head when Shawna and Mollie approached her and started poking fun at her for her situation. Natalie was very upset by their remarks, and tried to get them to leave. They saw that she was married, and asked her who would actually want to marry her. Natalie asked them to leave again, and Rex came in and reinforced Natalie’s request. Mollie and Shawna blew off Rex and decided to leave. Rex immediately asked Natalie if it was true that she got married. Natalie said it was true, and that she couldn’t understand why no one believed that she got a life and went to get married. Rex said that he didn’t comprehend why she would marry someone else when she was obviously still in love with Cristian. Natalie hesitated, and then made him promise that no matter what she told him, it had to stay between them. She confided in him that she still loves Cristian, and that the man she married was giving her a hard time. Rex realized after hearing Natalie speak of her husband, that it was the same man to whom he spoke earlier that day in the library. He explained to Natalie that Mitch wanted to know where Jessica was staying, but that he wasn’t able to give him an answer. Mitch left his card, which said "Michael Lazarus" on it, which confirmed that it was indeed Mitch that was in the library. Natalie instructed him to call him and tell him that Jessica was staying in Boston, and to give him a phoney address. Rex did that, and Mitch said that he would send the money to Rex once he figured out if the information was legit or not. Rex hung up and said that Mitch would be able to find out pretty quickly that the information was false. Natalie said that was fine, because it bought them some time to figure out something else. Natalie decided that she was going to go get help, and she told Rex goodbye.
Natalie showed up at the police station, where Cris and Viki were still trying to figure out what to do about the situation. Cristian told Natalie that they knew what she was doing and that she could get help from them to get out of her predicament. Natalie started to explain what was going on when Mitch walked into the commissioner’s office and interrupted her! He said that whatever she had to say, she could say it in front of her husband too.
