GILLIGAN'S ISLAND: THE ESCAPE!

Todd is running across the sand with wood, attempting to build a boat to no avail. He realizes when the wood begins to crumble that he will not be able to make it alone. He drops down on to the sand in defeat, and spots the tattered picture of his children sticking out of the wood. He tells the photo that he really screwed everything up this time. He even has been treating Tea terribly. As he is engulfs in his soul-searching, he has flashbacks of him and Tea during their married years. He remembers the way Tea used to sing Starr Spanish lullabies and how Tea and Blair almost came to blows, and his feelings for Tea resurfaces.

He jumps up and races down the sand in search of her. He finds her with Ross, and he keeps his distance to observe the scene between the two of them.

Ross and Tea are working diligently to build their own boat, and at some point they both reach for a strong branch that is covered with leaves. They pull off the leaves simultaneously, and then stand dangerously close to each other, some attraction coming into play. They break away from each other and Ross brings up the subject of her and Todd. She tells him that what he saw was a moment that passed and is no more, but Ross tells her not to try and pull the wool over his eyes. He knows exactly what she's up to.

Tea is offended and tells him to explain what he thinks he knows. He tells her that she's trying to convince herself that she's over Todd, and she's flirting with him to make Todd jealous. Ross interrupts her offended protests and tells her that it's okay if she is.

Tea is thrown off by Ross' generous offer and asks him why he extended it. He says that he wants her to be happy, and if her plot works and she gets Manning..great. But if she doesn't get Manning then he still has a chance with her, and that's great, too.

Tea tells him that there is no plot, and she doesn't want to lead him on or anything..Ross tells her that she isn't. After a few more exchanges of words, Ross says he needs to take a swim, and he takes the base of the boat-in-progress and leaves. Tea grabs the rest of the supplies and slings it over her shoulder. As she heads to leave, Todd comes bumbling over to talk to her. She looks up at him, rolls her eyes, and walks away. He follows her and they have an argument.

She tells him that he's a coward, and rather than face his feelings, he pretends that nothing happened between them. She tells him that he's not the only one who wants to forget, "SO...DO...I!" she screams directly in his face. Todd tells her that she has no idea what's going through his mind, and she says that the scary part is, she does. And she wants no part of it. She turns to walk away, but Todd stops her.

"I came to tell you that I want to forget what happened...but I can't!"

AL/MAX/GABRIELLE: ALL "FIRE"D UP!!

Another loooong hour of watching Al make those sick puppy grimaces whenever he thinks of Jen has passed. To those of you who are counting on the recap for the episode, thank your lucky stars that your eyes had a break!

Max comes skipping into the front of the Break Bar, reveling in his new-found happiness, as he believes that he is now Roxy-free. He and Al exchange jokes about the situation, and Max tells his son that he hasn't slept so well in months. He then tell Al that he, on the other hand, hasn't slept or eaten much at all lately. What gives? Al tries to brush it off, but Max keeps digging. Al tells him that he just has a lot on his mind lately, and as a matter of fact, he needs to excuse himself now for two minutes. He turns away from his father and pulls out his cell phone to call..(yep, you guessed it!)...Jen.

He gets her voice mail and leaves a long, mushy message about how he's glad that she's okay since..

(The flashback of: Al, who lit the match, that started the fire, that burned up the room, where Jennifer slept, when she lived in the house where Sam lives).

UGH! Anyway, he goes on to say that it's a miracle that she survived, and if anything had happened to her....yada, yada, yada.

(I would love to find the person who created Caller ID and DELETE MESSAGE buttons, so I can KISS them!)

He hangs up the phone and nearly jumps out of his skin when his mother comes up behind him and says hello. She tells him the police are looking for him, and as we viewers have become so accustomed to watching, she interprets his subsequent edginess as something other than guilt.

She tells him that the police are probably looking for him to thank him, and he rejects that possibility. She asks him then why would they want him? He is all psycho jittery again, and Gabby says she is confused by his behavior. He did a heroic thing, he should be proud. Just think, it will raise his stature in school. Possibly with the young ladies..(hint, hint.)

Al tells his mom that she knows he's not interested in all that, and Gabby, annoyed, says "yeah, yeah, I know." Max comes over at this point and says that he knows why Al is acting so weird.."FIRE". He's been acting strange since then, and he knows all about it. Al panics, saying: "You do?"
Max says, "Yeah." You almost lost Jen once and when you found her in the fire, you realized what it would be like if you had lost her permanently."

(HUH??WHAT! Did Max just GIVE his son a lie on a platter? Jeez! WAKE UP, WRITERS!!)

Al greedily jumps on that way out and Max leaves them alone to call Nora. He gets her voice mail, and leaves her a message to call him and set him free from Roxy, since she clearly abandoned him.

"Set me free, why don't you, babe?" he says, before hanging up.

Back to Al and Gabby, Al's cell phone rings. It's Bo, summoning Al down to the station. Al tells his mom that now they'll find out what the police want with him.

LOONVIEW TEEN BEAT: SUPERBROOM MINI-ME INITIATION!!

Well, folks, it's finally happened. Jen has become Superbroom: The Next Generation. She has mastered the evil, psycho expressions, and her natural twitching just fits so neatly in that psycho package. Take a ride with WKAYDEE-TV as we cover the live initiation of the next Superbroom....

Jen stares at Natalie out on the Llanfair patio. There's a very strange, crazy look in her eyes. Natalie, feeling like a sitting duck, nervously endures the tension as she awaits what Jen has to say.

Jen starts by saying that she wants to talk about what's going on..and then she goes silent. Natalie, trying to break the discomfort of the silence, says that she knows Jen must be going through a lot, with the fire, the hospital, and now her mom being on the loose. Jen, after a long silence, says, that all of that is terrible, but she wants to talk about herself....and Natalie.....and Cristian.

Natalie is a little panicked by the implication in her voice, but she keeps cool to find out what Jen knows. Jen lets another silence linger between them, then she says curtly,

"I'm curious. Why did you go to Cristian when you thought you had DID? There are so many other people out there who are more qualified on the subject."

Natalie replies, "Yeah, but none of them were my friend, Jen." Jen nods, still looking strange and crazy as hell, then she continues.

"Yeah, I guess with something so personal going on, that's who you'd call first...Your, um...friend."

Natalie reluctantly concurs. Then proceeds to tell Jen that she made Cris promise not to say anything. There's a touch of "What are you getting at?" in Natalie's voice and on her face, but mum's the word for Jen. She continues with her open-ended questions.

"And that's why you couldn't tell me what was going on, right?"
"Yes, Jen, and now you know the whole story."
"Yes, but you left something out. Didn't she, Cristian?"

Cris returns with Jen's water and steps into the same pool of confusion that Natalie's swimming in. His hairs are standing up on the back of his neck, but he, too plays the scene out. He gets the feeling that Jen is on to that "something" that he and Natalie share, and he tells her that they should go home and discuss it.

She tells Cris: "Can I just say what I want to say?" Cris bows out and says
okay. Her face goes into a transformation...(Something equivalent to the scene in Michael Jackson's "Thriller"video...) Between anger and calm, and settles for calm. Then she turns to Natalie, with a strained smile and says,
"I want to apologize, for ever thinking that you and Cris had something going on, for thinking that you wanted Cris for yourself, and for treating you the way I did."

She then says that she forgives Nat for the role she played with covering up Al's pretend paralysis, and for keeping her and Cris apart. She just wants to be friends. Then she unexpectedly slaps a hug on Natalie, and says she has more to say. Ever since Natalie made her "one little MISTAKE", Natalie has tried to be nothing more than a friend to Jen, and Jen says all she did was blow her off. But all that is going to change.

Cris, realizing that this whole scene is way too bizarre, even for a Rappaport, steps up to Jen and says that they need to...

Natalie quickly steps in front of Cris and tells him that Jen's been through a lot, and she needs to REST...Jen, still donning the strained smile, says,

"See you're always thinking about me!" Then she slaps another hug on Natalie, this time giving a nasty look over her shoulder, and abruptly turns to leave. Cris and Nat linger behind for a few seconds, both sharing confused looks, then he leaves.

Later, at the loft, Cris sits in the window in deep thought. Jen glares at him from her perch on the couch across from him. Suddenly, she gets up and goes to him, making moves on him that indicates that she want to get intimate. He tells her that he doesn't sex is a good idea at that time. She just went through a really rough time, with everything that went on.

"What better time for it? I need to feel that I still have someone left that I can lean on...depend on...Unless there's some reason that you don't want to make love to me right now?"

RAE-RAY'S FUGITIVES!!

The psychos are still arguing in Rae's living room about Lindsay going into the basement, when they hear the sound of a key being tried in the lock. Lindsay yanks Allison into a closet and Sam walks in, missing them by a split second. (NOOOO! Really??)

The ladies listen from inside the closet as Sam asks a mystery person:

"What are you doing here? Are the police with you?"
Enter Gretel Rae-Ray, saying no, but cut me some slack, Sam. Sam says she knows that the house is off-limits to her and Rae says, yes she does, but she thought that her friend would be more compassionate. Sam reminds her that he isn't there as her friend, he's there as an attorney for people who are suing her.

Rae comes closer, telling him that she just wants to get a few things, something that reminds her that she did help some people. Sam asks her if she's crazy....(Ummm...well?? Nope, never mind. I decline to comment.)

She can't have anything in that house. Asa may be a cruel sadist, but he had a point when he said that Rae can't help playing shrink. (YEEEOUCH!!)

Rae and Sam go back and forth, with Sam slapping away her roaming hands from the patient files, saying,

"You're being sued, Rae! How would it look if I were to give you access to Patricia Carter's file? Or Margaret Wilson's file? Or Jen Rappa...."

"Yes," Rae said, "Jen Rappaport. She came to see me, too. If you open her file you'll see that she told me all about how horrible life with her mother was. She said that Lindsay was horrible to her, a monster."

"She was really upset with Lindsay?" Sam asks. Rae says yes. They go into a very lengthy conversation about her sessions with Jen and Lindsay is listening to every word in the closet. She gets really heated up and reaches for the closet door without thinking. Allison yanks Lindsay back and closes the door, alerting Sam and Rae with the noise.

"What was that?" Sam says, rising from the desk chair. Rae says she doesn't know..but the basement is beneath that closet and there's a water heater that always makes a thumping noise. Maybe that's what it is?
Sam says, okay, but Rae says if Sam still wants to check it out, it's right over there..

Sam decides to go for it, and Rae races over to the file cabinet and frantically rummages through the files in search of something. Sam catches her red-handed and throws her out, warning her that he is going to alert the police to keep a more watchful eye out over the house. Rae promises she won't be back, concealing a tape of Asa Buchanan's therapy session behind her back.

Sam tells her again to leave, and she says okay, but not before she gets something non-therapy related from her closet!!

ST. ANN'S: WHERE ANYONE CAN BE A SHRINK!!

While visiting her mother at St. Ann's, Blair tells her mom all about her blown match-making plan. She tells Addie that Nora and Troy nearly lost their lives because of it and she nearly lost her only friend. Addie tells her that she shouldn't be so hard on herself.

Blair says again, that things could have really gone tragic. Addie tells her that she still loves Todd, and she also thinks that Blair has a crush on Sam.
Blair looks at her mom, trying to deny it.

Flash over to the couch across from the Kramer women, we see the Manning children. Starr sadly rolls a Hot Wheels car back and forth over the box of a board game. She has an animated fantasy in which she finds Todd, and asks him where she's been , but Todd doesn't reply to her the whole time.

She snaps back to the present, and tells Baby Jack that she's known their dad longer, so she misses him more, but what if Jack forgets what their dad looks and sound like? I have got to find him, right, Jack?
Jack starts wiggling and fidgeting and Starr says..

Is that a yes or a no? Jack shakes his arms up and down, and Starr says:

"Then it's settled. I'm going to find Daddy!"

(UH-OH!)
