One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, August 8, 2002

Llanview Hospital

We begin today at Llanview Hospital. Nora decides she needs some fresh air as Troy talks to Claire. She goes out onto the patio/sun porch and sees a doctor standing there. Unbeknownst to her, it is Lindsay dressed up in a wig and the lab coat she swiped from good 'ol Dr. Rae, well Rae Cumming's house that is! As Nora approaches her Lindsay tries to ignore her. Inside, Claire tells Troy that she heard that the police picked up Lindsay and Allison in Pittsburgh.

Nora makes a comment about it being a nice night and Lindsay nods trying to keep her back to Nora without drawing attention to herself. Nora tells her she doesn't mean to bother her, but she asks if she is all right? Lindsay doesn't answer. Jen comes rushing in to see if Nora has seen her father, stopping her from seeing Lindsay's face. Jen and Nora talk, while Lindsay stands there and listens to them.  Jen cannot understand why Lindsay does the things she does. Jen can't understand why Lindsay doesn't realize how much she hurts her family when she does things like this.  Nora tries very hard to reassure Jen and she breaks down in Nora's arms.

R.J.'s apartment

As Antonio continues to question R.J. it becomes increasingly apparent to him that R.J. doesn't have an alibi. R.J. asks when the break out was supposed to have happened? Antonio tells him at about 8:45p.m. Keri tells Antonio she is his alibi. (Fear not Antonio! He has Keri! It is Keri to the rescue. She is R.J.'s alibi! Good work R.J.! Your plan has worked, for now.) Antonio looks at her in disbelief. He is speechless.

The rock quarry

Jessica and Seth relive the accident when Allison tried to kill them by running them off the road. She thanks Seth for helping her through the nightmare of Roxy and Allison's con game.  Jessica tells Seth that even with all of the stunts she has pulled, Roxy seems to keep getting away with everything.  Jessica wonders what she'd be like if Roxy would have raised her. Seth tries to tell her she would still be amazing because she'd still be the same on the inside.  Jessica wonders why Natalie has turned out like she has, still blaming her for Ben's accident. Seth tells Jessica that Natalie has an inner fire, something they both have, and it makes them stronger. Jessica tries to excuse some of Roxy's behavior. Then she looks at how wonderful her mother, Viki is. Then Jessica goes off on her Natalie tangent, thinking that Natalie is still responsible for Ben's accident. Meanwhile, at Rae's house however, a tied up, bound and gagged Roxy tries desperately to call out for help.

Llanfair

Allison comes in through the French doors of the library and finds Ben sitting there. She tells him she had to come to see what that awful Niki Smith did to him. Allison tells Ben she is there to help him.  She shows him all of the things that she has brought with her, including a gun.  he phone rings and she picks it up. It is Jessica. Ben asks her who it is. Jessica keeps asking for Viki or Ben to answer.  Allison hangs up and unplugs the phone. She rushes over to caress Ben's face and he pulls away. Ben tells her to get a way from him. He tells her that he doesn't want her help, and all he wants to do is go find Viki.

Roxy's house

Niki walks back in the room, as Natalie stands there.  Of course, Niki goes into Viki mode and tries play Viki, but Natalie isn't buying it anymore. Natalie tells her she doesn't know who she is, but she isn't Viki. She tells Niki she knows everything and the game is over, and she loses. Niki just stands there and looks at her. Niki tries to go to Natalie and Natalie backs up. Natalie calls her a psycho and tells her to get away from her. Niki tells her she would never hurt her. Natalie tells her that is all she has been doing for months now.  Niki pretending to be Viki tries to tell Natalie about Niki Smith, in order to confuse her. Niki is playing her role very well, but a cautious Natalie is still not convinced.  Natalie asks her why she is at Roxy's house. Niki makes up some lame excuse and tries to convince Natalie that Roxy hates her. She tells her that she has come over there to keep Roxy from hurting Natalie any longer. She promises profusely, that she will never let anyone ever hurt her again, and as she gives Natalie her word, for whatever that's worth, Natalie slaps her!

R.J.'s apartment

Keri is adamant that R.J. was with her watching the wedding program between 9:00 and 10:00p.m. She keeps telling Antonio that R.J. was there. Keri gets offended because he doesn't believe her, which delights her father of course.  Keri demands that he answer her.  R.J. was with her, she says once again. She tells him that R.J. could not have helped the women escape from Statesville. Antonio tells R.J. he has no further questions for now and Keri tells him then he should go. Antonio can't believe his ears. Keri stands her ground as R.J. smiles.  Antonio tells R.J. he has to get back to the station and leaves. R.J. thanks Keri for helping him.  Keri ponders the fact that his money clip was out there in the woods. She tells R.J. that Antonio was only doing his job.  Keri tells him that she knows he would never do anything to hurt Nora or help those women and R.J. smiles at her.

Llanview hospital

Jen and Nora walk back in from the patio and they talk to Claire and Troy as Lindsay listens from outside. Nora tells Jen that until her mother is found, she shouldn't be alone.  Nora invites Jen to come over and spend some time with Matthew, and maybe they could all watch a movie or something together. Lindsay listens in horror as Nora tells Jen that even though she and her father are no longer together, she will always think of her as a daughter.  Jen falls apart in Nora's comforting arms.  Lindsay is helpless and can't do anything.  Lindsay says to herself that she should be holding Jen not Nora.  A guard comes up behind her and tells her to stop and Lindsay turns around pretending to be Rae Cummings. The guard says she isn't Rae Cummings and he saw her on the news. He tells Lindsay he knows who she really is. He tells her that she is Gretel Cummings and she is not allowed on hospital property. He tells her if she doesn't leave he is going to call the cops. Lindsay is torn with Jen just inside and he tells her to scram. She runs. Nora and Troy tell Jen to go find her dad. Troy tells Nora that Lindsay was caught, however, Claire walks in and says apparently not, it wasn't them. Nora freaks when she hears that Lindsay is with Allison.

At the rock quarry, Jessica tells Seth that someone at Llanfair hung up on her.

Llanfair

Allison is angered by Ben's declaration and wants to know why Ben wants to find Viki.  Allison tells him that Viki is Niki Smith, and Niki Smith is a horrible, mean woman.  She tries to convince Ben that all Niki Smith wants to do is kill him.  Allison tells Ben all she wants to do is take care of him.  He tells Allison his wife needs him and he needs her. He tells her that he loves Viki more than anything else in the world.  Allison asks him, "Dave, what about me?" Everything she does, she does for him.  Ben tells her that Dave is not real.  He tells her he doesn't love her and he never will. He tells her if she can't hear him, he doesn't know what else to say. Allison grabs the gun off the desk and tries to shoot Ben.  She can't do it. She walks out the French doors crying and turns to tell him good-bye. Ben tries to get up from the sofa and collapses on the floor.

Roxy's house

Natalie and Niki have it out. Niki tries to goad Natalie and they continue to argue. Niki tells Natalie that she does Viki better than Viki does. Natalie quickly disagrees. Niki is nothing like Viki. Viki cares about her family. Niki tries to get past Natalie to leave, and Natalie prevents her from reaching the door. Natalie screams at Niki to give her, her mother back. Niki laughs hysterically at Natalie.

Llanfair

Jessica and Seth run into the library and find an unconscious Ben on the floor. They rush to his side and they try to revive him. Jessica asks him repeatedly who did this to him, thinking once again it was Natalie. Ben wakes up and is very groggy. He can't respond.

Roxy's house

Natalie tells her she can't keep Viki away from her family.  Natalie tells Niki that she survived Roxy and she can beat her too. She tells Niki to get ready. Niki laughs in her face. They completely disagree and argue about Viki and her love for Natalie. Niki tries to leave again. Niki screams at Natalie to get out of her way.  Natalie fires back at her about hurting Ben. Niki tries to tell Natalie that she really didn't want to hurt Ben because she and Ben did have one great night together. Natalie tells her she doesn't' t want to hear it!  Natalie tells Niki that Viki made her feel loved. Natalie screams at Viki to hear her, and begs her to come out. Niki just laughs.

Rae's house

Roxy tries to free herself and Allison walks down the stairs.  She tells the bound and gagged Roxy that Dave is gone and Ben doesn't want her and all there is left for her to do is tie up loose ends.  She pulls out the gun. Roxy trembles in fear.  She tells Roxy she is about the only friend she ever had, other than Dave, but Dave isn't real. Dave is dead. Roxy struggles and gets Allison to remove her gag.  She begs Allison not to kill her. She tells Allison that she has a lot of money to give her if she lets her live. She tells Allison that her stash is at her old house. Allison leaves.

Roxy's house

Natalie begs Viki to come out. Niki screams at Natalie to shut up. Natalie tries to call the police. Niki grabs her cell phone and throws it. Natalie reaches for the telephone on the table and Niki rips it out of her hand as well. They struggle.  Natalie refuses to allow her to leave. They struggle more.  Niki throws Natalie out of her way and Natalie grabs Niki and throws her to the ground knocking Niki out cold. Natalie runs out the door to call the police.

Rae's house

Roxy is tied up in a chair. She is bouncing up and down trying to get loose. She knows she needs to get out of there before Allison finds out she sent her on a wild goose chase.

Llanfair

Jessica continues to ask Ben who hurt him and he tells Jessica it doesn't matter. Then he tells them that Allison was there, and that she had escaped from prison earlier. Jessica asks Ben where her mother is and Ben doesn't answer.

Roxy's house

Niki wakes up. She has a knot on her head. She knows she needs to get out of there before Natalie comes back with the police. She runs to the door. Allison walks in. She says, "Hello, Niki! What a pleasant surprise!" She smiles. Niki glares back at her. . .
