R.J./Cristian:  It’s a Question of Loyalty!!

Cristian finds R.J. in his apartment. R.J. recalls a conversation he had with Cristian with Cristian saying he is “with” R.J.  When questioned why R.J. is in Cristian’s apartment with out his permission, R.J. mysteriously tells Cristian he is there to fix the security system that is causing R.J. a problem.  R.J. found the “problem” in Cristian’s apartment.  R.J. and Cristian discuss loyalty as R.J. is feeling him out.  R.J. is trying to find out for himself if Cristian is really betraying him and working for the police.  Cristian gets a call from Jen about Al’s accident.  Cristian leaves for the hospital, as R.J. and Cristian agree to finish their discussion later.  R.J. is beginning to realize Lindsay told him the truth about Cristian’s involvement with the police.  R.J. contemplates his next move to “take care” of Cristian.  R.J. then makes a mysterious phone call.

Allison/Ben (Dave)/Rae:  Freedom!!

Outside of Allison’s room at St. Ann’s, Sister Catherine talks to Rae about “Dave” befriending Allison.  Rae is surprised since she has never heard of “Dave”.  Ben hears Rae and the sister talking outside of the room and hides in Allison’s closet.  Rae comes in and asks Allison about “Dave” but quickly decides Sister Catherine is confused.

Rae informs Allison that she gets to leave St. Ann’s today on a Day Pass and has to be back at St. Ann’s at 9:00pm.  Allison is ecstatic to have even a little bit of freedom!  Rae leaves to sign her papers and Ben emerges from the closet.  Allison wants to know why Rae can’t know about “Dave”.  “Dave” covers by explaining he doesn’t want Allison to get into trouble by having a man in her room.  Allison then leaves for her visit outside of St. Ann’s.  Ben is very suspicious of Allison’s intentions for her day away from the institution.  Ben leaves Allison’s room.  Rae sees Ben and asks him why he is coming out of Allison’s room.

Allison arrives at Llanfair to discover the front doors locked.  She then sneaks around back and finds the French doors leading to the library unlocked.  Allison goes into the library and recalls when, dressed as Niki Smith, she entered the same doors and kidnapped Jessica years earlier.  Jessica walks into the library before Allison can see a picture of Ben and Viki on the desk.

Todd/Blair:  Truth and Consequences!!

At the Palace Hotel restaurant, Blair runs into Todd.  She overhears Todd leaving a message for Gabrielle.  Curious, Blair tries to find out his relationship with Gabrielle.  Todd covers by telling Blair that he and Gabrielle are lovers.  Blair, of course, doesn’t buy that explanation at all.  Todd then blurts out that Max and Gabrielle are sleeping together.  Blair, trying to hide her surprise and concern, probes Todd for details.  Blair is skeptical Todd is telling the truth and admits she would forgive Max anyway.  Blair tells herself and Todd that it just happened once and would not continue after Blair and Max’s wedding (planned for tomorrow).  Blair and Todd discuss her love, or lack thereof, for Max.  Blair ends up threatening to get Starr back from Todd, as Todd counter-threatens that Blair will never see Starr again.  Blair then leaves the Palace.

Jessica/Seth/Carlotta:  Water Under the Bridge!!

Also, at the Palace Hotel restaurant, Seth apologizes to Jessica for questioning her about Megan.  They both discuss how life has forced them to mature:  Jessica having a baby and Seth attending reform school. 

Carlotta asks to join them.  She wants to let Seth and Jessica know that they are more than welcome to come into the diner.  Carlotta doesn’t want either one of them to feel awkward coming around the Vega’s as a result of Jessica and Cristian’s breakup.  Carlotta explains that everything has ended well and everyone involved now seems to be very happy.  Seth has to leave the hotel.  Carlotta then shares her fears with Jessica about Cristian working for R.J.  Jessica tries to assure her that everything will work out with Cristian and to trust that he knows what he is doing.  After more small talk, the two part company and a very pleasant note.

Sam/Troy:  Suspicious Minds!!

At Llanview Hospital, Troy returns Sam’s wallet.  Sam discovers Nora’s picture is missing and angrily asks Troy where it is.  Troy pulls the picture out of his pocket with the excuse that it fell out of the wallet.  Sam does not believe him.  The Hospital Administrator then makes a play for Troy in front of Sam.  Troy agrees to have coffee with her.  (See more below).

Gabrielle/Max:  The Plan!!

At Asa’s lodge, Gabrielle lets it slip that Al catching Max and Gabrielle together was not part of “the plan”.  Max catches on to the slip and insists she tell him what “the plan” is.  Gabrielle keeps sidestepping the issue and avoids telling Max anything.  (See more below).

Jen/Al:  An Urgent Call for Help!!

On the side of Post Road, Jen realized Al is severely injured.  Al is unresponsive and Jen gets a lot of blood on her hand after trying to shake him. Jen calls for and ambulance on Al’s cell phone.  Realizing his phone is programmed with other phone numbers, Jen calls Gabrielle and tells her of the accident.  (See more below).

Jen/Al/Troy/Gabrielle/Max/Sam/Cristian:  A Matter of Life and Death!!

Paramedics bring Jen and an injured Al to Llanview Hospital just as Troy is making his date with the Hospital Administrator.  Troy begins attending to Al while Jen tells Sam about the accident.  Max and a hysterical Gabrielle arrive at the hospital.  Troy cannot promise them Al will survive.  Cristian soon arrives and comforts Jen. 

As the medical staff is working on Al, the monitors’ alarms go off.  Max and Gabrielle are forced to leave the trauma room.  While they are waiting for news, Max tell Gabrielle he blames Asa for giving Al the motorcycle as Gabrielle blames herself for allowing him to ride it.

Troy emerges from the trauma room and tells Max and Gabrielle he has bad news concerning Al’s condition.

Comic Relief of the Day:

Blair tells Todd she will hand deliver his invitation to her wedding with Max.  Todd’s comeback was priceless and so typical of Todd.  “…I’d rather take out my prostate with this dessert fork and put it on this plate and eat it with whipped cream than to come to your wedding.”
