ONE LIFE TO LIVE RECAP FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2001

Bo’s Garret

Lindsay, who is still soaking wet, passes out in Bo’s arms in his doorway. Lindsay is looking for Lanie, but Bo says she is in surgery. Lindsay laments about the loss of her family. Bo offers to call Sam, but Lindsay tells him that Sam threw her out in the rain. Bo asks why. Lindsay tells him about trying to protect her daughter from Cris. Bo assures her that Cris is a good guy. Lindsay whines about how everyone is against her. She thinks Cris should be in jail for making fake IDs. Bo says she is making assumptions about Cris without having all the facts. Lindsay wants to know what Bo knows that she doesn’t. Bo avoids the question.

Bo says he has known Cris for a long time and that Lindsay should give him a break. Lindsay maintains she is only looking out for the welfare of her daughter. Bo points out that Lindsay has done some terrible things to innocent people – but he believes Lindsay can ask for forgiveness.

Sam’s House

Cris drops in to see Jen. She tells him that Sam kicked her mother out of the house, so Jen won’t be moving in with Cris. Cris is excited that Sam’s acceptance of him means they can go away for the weekend.

Al comes by with flowers for Jen and is disturbed to see Cris. Jen invites him in, but Al says he just brought the flowers to cheer her up, and since she seems fine, he leaves. Cris thinks Al has a crush on Jen, but she blows it off, saying they are just friends.

Dorian’s Mansion

Blair catches Todd in her bedroom and demands to know what he is doing with her pajamas. Todd sidesteps the question and asks about her wedding plans. Blair presses him and he says he came to get some things for Starr. Blair tells him to leave, but Todd sits on the bed with no intention of going anywhere.

Todd asks Blair what he should tell Starr about her marrying Max. Todd is sure Starr will never accept Max and he will not allow her to be around Max. Blair asks if Todd would allow her to see Starr if she doesn’t marry Max.

Blair wants joint custody and she loves her daughter enough to give up Max. Todd is dubious. He doesn’t think Starr would fall for Blair’s act. Todd can’t get past the fact that Blair is pregnant with Max’s child. Blair explodes and tells Todd to leave. He remembers why he came to see Blair (to get her to sign something as part of his plan with Gabrielle to frame her along with Max) and he tricks her into signing papers for Starr’s new school. Blair refuses at first, but gives in when Todd goads her. He reiterates that Blair will never get custody of Starr again and leaves.

Asa’s Mansion

Al comes home depressed over the meeting with Jen. Asa offers to lend an ear, but Al says he wants to take a ride on his new motorcycle and forget. Asa gives him the key to the Buchanan Lodge and tells him to do a little fishing; it will take his mind off his troubles. Al takes him up on the offer.

Todd pops into Asa’s study looking for Gabrielle. Asa is incensed that Todd is able to stroll into his house uninvited. Todd ignores his blustering and gives Asa the signature he obtained from Blair. Todd wonders how Asa can be sure that Gabrielle won’t kill him for real and make herself a very rich widow.

Asa is sure that Gabrielle hates Max. Todd isn’t so sure, but he tells Asa that if they double-cross him, Todd will seek revenge on behalf of Asa. Asa assures Todd that won’t be necessary – he will take care of Max and Gabrielle himself.

Buchanan Lodge

Max encounters Gabrielle and asks why she is at the lodge. She says she is making sure they didn’t leave any evidence behind after their rendezvous. They play cat and mouse with each other until Max asserts that he still plans to marry Blair – in the name of supporting his child. Gabrielle attempts to leave, but Max stops her.

Gabrielle says she is worried about Al finding out about their tryst, but Max isn’t fooled. Gabrielle says she felt something when they made love – Max felt it too, but both of them vow that it can’t happen again. Gabrielle says she returned to the lodge because she is afraid that Al will find out what they’ve done. Max doesn’t buy that excuse either and grabs her and kisses her when she tries to leave. Gabrielle attempts to break away, but she is drawn to Max. As Max and Gabrielle are locked in a passionate kiss, Al walks in on them…

The Cemetery

Jess is visiting little Megan’s grave when Seth walks up behind her. Jess is startled to see him and wonders if Seth followed her. Seth says he was worried about her and asks whose grave she is visiting. She tells him about Megan and asks him to stay.

Jess tells Seth the story of Megan’s conception. Seth is amazed that someone from ‘her family’ wouldn’t try to make it go away. Jess relates how she lost the baby and how much it hurt. She also tells him about seeing Megan while she was in her coma. Seth is touched by her story.

Sam’s House

Cris looks outside and leaves the door open because it is a beautiful day. He and Jen are talking on the couch about their weekend. They are discussing secrets and Jen reminds him about the undercover work Cris did for the cops when he was trying to get the goods on RJ. Lindsay is listening at the door…

Line of the Day

Bo (to Lindsay): One thing I do know is that anyone – I mean even the very evil Lindsay Rappaport – anyone can ask for forgiveness.
