ONE LIFE TO LIVE RECAP FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2001

<<< BACK TO RECAPS  INDEX

Llanfair

Jess tries to convince Viki to allow Natalie to live with them. Viki is opposed to the idea and suggests Natalie contact St. James. Viki isn’t sure they should trust Natalie. She reminds Jess of what happened when she trusted Allison all those years ago.  Jess doesn’t think the situations are similar. She defends her friend and insists she just wants to help someone who hasn’t been fortunate enough to have the advantages that Jess enjoys. Viki points out that Jess has been through some pretty rough times, which have made her the strong person she is.

When Seth and Natalie show up, Jess is about to tell them that her mother said no, when Viki offers to let Natalie live in the Carriage House. When Natalie hesitates because she is more interested in living in the main house, Viki wants to know what the problem is – surely it’s better than living on the streets. Jess jumps in and explains what the Carriage House is and that her brothers used to live there. Natalie is grateful for the cover and accepts Viki’s offer. Seth takes her out to see the place while Jess stays behind to thank her mother. Viki asks Jess if Seth is more than a friend. Jess insists they are just having fun and he is helping her get over Will. Viki assures her there is no harm in that.

The Carriage House

Seth gives Natalie a necklace and as he is putting it around her neck, Jess walks in on them.

Bo’s Garrett

Colin continues to haunt Lanie’s dreams, which makes her more determined to rush Bo to the altar. She plans a romantic evening with Bo, which is interrupted by a delivery of dishes. It’s a wedding present from Lanie’s aunt – who wasn’t aware the wedding had been called off. Lanie acts upset that her aunt expects a wedding picture and she will have to explain why they aren’t getting married. Bo suggests they visit her aunt, but Lanie is evasive and doesn’t think that is a good alternative and tells Bo she will return the dishes. Bo confesses he doesn’t like the pattern they chose for the dishes anyway. He promises they can choose a different pattern later. They are interrupted by a call from Antonio. Lanie rips up the card when he leaves – the dishes didn’t work.

Logan’s Department Store

Lanie returns the dishes, which she had purchased that morning. When the clerk asks if there was a problem, Lanie says the dishes didn’t serve her purpose and next time she will have to try something a bit bolder.

Troy’s Loft

Sam throws Troy through the window and drags him back inside, where they continue to tussle. The fight is broken up when John and Antonio show up. They are both hauled off to the police station.

Llanview PD

John questions Troy while Antonio reminds Sam that he should know better than to break into someone’s house. John advises Troy of his right to press charges against Sam. Troy declines. But he warns Bo that he won’t be as generous if it happens again. Bo summons Sam into his office and warns him to stay away from MacIver. Sam refuses to promise he will steer clear of the doctor. Sam is convinced that Troy is up to something and is determined to figure out what it is. Sam tells Bo that Troy has hinted that he wants to see Nora when she comes back. Sam isn’t about to let that happen. Bo thinks Sam is overreacting and needs to stay away from Troy.

Troy’s Loft

Troy is cleaning up the mess left by the fight when he discovers a wallet and opens it, finding a picture of Nora inside.

Chicago

Nora is spending the evening with Matthew and Rachel. She tells Rachel she wants to remain in Chicago to give herself time to get over what happened with Colin.  Rachel asks what is happening between her mother and Sam. Nora extols his virtues, but denies she is falling in love with him. Rachel lets her mother know she would approve if the situation changes, but Nora isn’t ready to say that she wants a future with Sam. She is just glad to be spending time with her daughter again. Rachel wants to know how Nora is coping with what happened with Colin and they decide to discuss it – later.

Sam’s House

Lindsay admits she did set Cris up at first, but the rest of the damage, he did to himself. As she is talking to Cris, Jen emerges from her room. Lindsay is terrified that Jen has overheard her confession, but Jen thinks that Cris is trying to blame everything on her mother and Lindsay plays along. She attacks Cris again, trying to score points with Jen. Cris tries to correct Jen’s interpretation, but she doesn’t want to hear it. Cris is not anxious to come between mother and daughter, so he hesitates to point the finger at Lindsay.

Jen presses Cris to tell her the truth. He tells her the most important thing is that he loves her – and he would rather that Jen hate him for telling her the truth than letting her live with lies. Cris tells Jen about Chad and Shawna’s part in the scheme. Jen remembers that her mother set up the shopping trip to make sure she overheard Shawna. Lindsay tries to lie her way out of it, but Cris points out that Lindsay planned the whole thing to break them up. Jen begins to put the pieces together and confronts her mother. Lindsay tells Cris to prove it, but of course, he can’t. Lindsay asks Jen who she believes – an Internet porn star or her mother…

Line of the Day

Troy (regarding his fight with Sam): I realize that I’m still catching the heat for what my brother did.

Bo: I think you’re right on target there, doctor.

Troy: I just hope it doesn’t mean that I get punched in the face every day.
