Allison/Larry/Ben/Viki/Jessica/Natalie/Seth:  The Waiting is the Hardest Part!!!

At Llanview hospital, everyone congregates for the definitive DNA tests to, once and for all, tell who is truly Viki’s biological daughter.  In the hallway, Larry confronts Allison about the baby switching and accuses her of lying about the whole thing.  Larry is in charge of the DNA tests and will make sure no mistakes are made.  Ben arrives angry and assures Allison she will be put in jail when the DNA tests prove Jessica is Viki’s daughter.  Allison, however, tells Ben that Viki will be the one to be locked up when she has a mental breakdown as she discovers Natalie is her daughter. 

In the hospital waiting room, Viki and Jessica await the results of the DNA tests.  Jessica is extremely nervous.  However, Viki remains call because she says she is confident Jessica is her daughter.  Natalie enters the waiting room and greets Viki by calling her “Mom” which doesn’t set well with Viki.  Seth also arrives and tells Natalie to stop what she is doing to Jessica.  Seth and Jessica go out into the hall.  Viki tries to convince Natalie that Allison is running a scam on all of them, Natalie included.  This puts doubt is Natalie’s mind.  Allison comes into the waiting room continuing to insist Natalie is Viki’s daughter.  Viki makes Natalie and offer:  leave town and Viki will not prosecute her when the DNA tests prove Natalie is not Viki’s daughter.  Natalie takes Allison aside and is adamant that she tell her the truth; is she Viki’s daughter or not.   Allison assures Natalie that no mistake was made and she definitely is a Buchanan.

Meanwhile, Seth tries to explain why he did what he did to Jessica.  He tells Jessica that he and Natalie grew up very poor.  Natalie got a phone call from Allison telling her she was a Buchanan and the lure of money was too great to ignore.  Seth began to have feelings for Jessica and never wanted Jessica to be hurt.  Jessica told Seth that it is over between them and wants no more to do with him.

Ben, along with Seth and Jessica go back into the waiting room.  A desperate Natalie asks Seth if he thinks all of this is real or could it be some sort of scam.  Viki and Jessica go into the hall and look into a mirror.  They look so much alike, Viki points out, she is positive they are mother and daughter.

Larry enters the waiting room with the DNA results.

Max/Gabrielle/Nigel/Asa/Bo:  To Die or Not to Die—That is the Question!!!

At Asa’s mansion Gabrielle and Max (sporting a very short haircut and a neatly trimmed beard and moustache) discuss Asa and the fact that Asa is trying to keep Al away from Max.  Gabrielle proposes they kill Asa.  While Max mulls the thought over in his mind, he receives a cell phone call from Paloma telling him is son has been born in Mexico.  She gives Max directions where to find them and tells him to hurry because Todd is also there.  Max asks Nigel to arrange for Max to use Asa’s jet.  Nigel and Max leave.  Asa arrives wondering what all the commotion is about.  Nigel returns and tells him Max is using his plane.  Asa throws a fit, but Gabrielle talks Asa into letting Max go ahead and use the plane so they can get Max out of town and set their plan to frame Max for Asa’s murder in motion.  With Max out of town, Gabrielle can plant the empty prescription bottle in Max’s room to make it look like Max poisoned Asa.  Asa will be going to the South Pacific, Max will go to jail, and Gabrielle will be extremely wealthy. 

Bo arrives in his wedding attire and overhears Asa and Gabrielle talking about Asa and death.  Bo asks Asa if he is sick.  Asa assures him he is fine.  Bo reminds Gabrielle and Asa he needs to be sure to take his heart medication every day.  If the medication is missed, another heart attack will likely occur.  Gabrielle leaves the father and son alone to talk.  Asa tells Bo he can’t wait for Bo and Melanie’s wedding.  Bo tells of Melanie’s deceit and that the wedding cancelled.  Asa can sympathize with Bo since most of Asa’s wives were desperate schemers.  Asa comforts Bo the best he can.  Asa is truly sorry for the pain Bo is experiencing.  He also tells Bo he is a great son and wishes him love in the future.  Bo leaves and Asa realizes he will miss Bo when he “dies” after all.

Gabrielle, in the meantime, is in another part of the mansion replacing the medication in Asa’s heart medication capsules with sugar.

Blair/Todd/Paloma:  The Baby is Still Alive!!!

In her bedroom in Mexico, Blair dreams of a happy family consisting of Blair, Todd, Starr, and the new baby.  She wakes and wants to know where the baby is.  Todd reminds Blair the baby is dead.  Blair is in denial and wants to find the baby.  As she is talking to Todd about the baby she continually refers to it as “our” baby.  Todd angrily reminds her it is Max’s baby.

Paloma brings in breakfast but Blair refuses to eat. Todd tries to convince Blair the baby is gone.  Blair grieves for the baby she never saw or held.  Blair begins to blame herself for the baby’s death because she went to Mexico.  Todd assures her she did nothing wrong.  Todd accepts blame because he is the one who delivered the baby.  Blair was about to tell Todd he was the baby’s father when she hears the baby crying.  Todd tells Blair she did not hear a baby.  The crying stops making it seem that Todd is right.  Todd leaves the bedroom to see what is going on.  Todd finds the baby in a cradle and tries to quiet him.  Why didn’t Paloma get rid of the kid?  Paloma tells Todd she wants to give the baby back to Blair, which Todd, of course, forbids her to do.  Paloma leaves the baby’s room.  Todd tells the baby that he doesn’t want Max for a father anyway and Todd’s plan of getting rid of the child will be best for everyone involved. 

Blair gets out of bed trying to find her baby.  Paloma comes in and helps her get back in bed.  Paloma admits to Blair that she did indeed hear her baby. 

Max arrives at the hotel room and knocks on the door as Todd is holding the baby.

Keri/Antonio:  Romance???

Antonio arrives at Keri’s office at Llanview University.  Antonio wants to make sure she is all right after seeing her upset last night.  He lets Keri know he will be enrolling in one of her classes as an undercover cop to protect one of the students.  Keri puts two and two together and realizes it is probably Jen who is the student in need of protection.  Antonio will not confirm or deny Keri’s suspicions.  Keri receives a call from Hank who wants to have a talk with her.  Keri refuses.  Antonio, hearing Keri’s side of the phone call, leaves her office.  Keri runs after him.  Antonio assumed the call was from a boyfriend and he is the one who made her upset last night.  Keri tells him it was a call from her father and that is all she will say.  Antonio invites her for coffee.  Keri gives it some thought, but him being a student of hers is holding her back.

Comic Relief of the Day

Todd tries to assure Blair she did not hear her baby crying.  Did Todd hear anything?  “I heard something, yeah.  I don’t know what I heard:  the wind; or, or, or, or, a burrow; or, or ‘Pamona’ singing some kind of Mexican dirge.”
