One Life to Live Recap for Monday, November 5, 2001

Nora, Antonio, Keri

Keri and Antonio are just looking at each other, not knowing what to say.  Nora is going on about what a good time they’re going to have and how she made plans for them to go to Rodi’s.  Nora finally realized something was wrong and said it looked like she made a mistake and Keri didn’t want her to feel bad, so she pretended she didn’t know Antonio and he did the same.  Keri said he just looked like someone she knew and they decided to go out.  They got outside the door and Keri told him he didn’t have to go through with the date, but he said Nora would probably check up on them so they decided to give it a try.  They get to Rodi’s and there’s a Halloween Party and Salsa Dance Contest going on.  Antonio asks Keri if she knows how to salsa and she says she doesn’t.  They sit and talk for a while and then Keri gets a phone call.  She goes off in a corner to take the call and an old friend of Antonio’s, Whitney, comes over to him and asks him to be her dance partner because hers can’t make it.  He says he’s with someone and Keri comes back and tells Antonio to go dance with Whitney if he wants to.  They start dancing in a very sexy way and Keri gets uncomfortable and leaves.  Whitney tells Antonio to go after her and he does.  Keri is outside calling a cab and Antonio explains that he and Whitney have been friends for a long time and she falls all over all the guys.  He asks her to come back in and dance and she says she can’t dance salsa, just as a slow song starts playing.  He tells her they can try and dance to that and they start dancing very slow, staring into each other’s eyes.  They come close to kissing.

Nora and Bo

Bo shows up at Nora’s and she offers him Halloween candy.  When he refuses she knows something is wrong and he tells her he has bad news about Asa.  She asks if it’s his heart again and he says yes.  Nora asks him if Asa is ok and if he can have visitors and Bo tells her this time it was fatal.  She is shocked and feels so bad for Bo.  She is very upset and tries to comfort him…then she realizes that something else is wrong and asks him what’s going on.

Jenn and Al

Jenn and Al are at the quarry, kissing and getting very involved.  The start taking off their clothes and Jenn tells him that she wants him…he tells her he has wanted her all along and they make love.  Afterwards, she is quiet and he thinks she’s thinking about Cristian and she says she can’t really help it because it was so recent.  The talk and he tells her that she helped him when he was feeling so bad about Asa and she thanked him for being there for her in her time of need.  At first he thinks she’s telling him goodbye and then she tells him that she’s not brushing him off, she just doesn’t know from one day to the next what her life will be.  He accepts that.

Max, Gabrielle and Bo, Renee

Max and Gabby are at the police station and she wants them to get their stories straight.  Max says he doesn’t want to know anything more out of her.  He wonders what she knows about what happened to Asa and she wonders what he knows.  Both suspect the other and don’t know what the other knows.

Bo comes into the Police Station with Renee and he promises to get to the bottom of Asa’s death, no matter what.  She tells him that she wants to be the one to tell Ben about Asa and he agrees.  He asks Renee if she knows anything about Gabby that will help him…anything about her marriage to Asa, etc.  Renee doesn’t want to talk about it since Asa is dead, but she finally admits to Bo that she remembers one night that Asa came to The Palace thinking Gabby was spending the night there and realized she wasn’t.  It was the night Gabby spent the night in her room with Max, supposedly afraid of Asa.  Renee also tells Bo about the night she went to the mansion and Asa was faking being drunk as part of some plan with Gabby. 

Bo goes into his office where Max and Gabby are waiting and he asks them what they were talking about when they heard Asa fall.  Gabby tells Bo that she was telling Max that she was in love with Asa and couldn’t be with him any more and Max agrees with what Gabby says.  Bo asks Gabby if Asa was happy before he died and she said that he was….that they had a nice long talk and were holding hands.  Max asked Bo if he was through questioning them and if they were under suspicion and he said that they weren’t.  He told them that they weren’t worth anything and that when they wound up where Asa was that no one would even care, but he didn’t think they were responsible for Asa’s death.  Gabby believes him and they leave.  Bo picks up the phone and tells the cops to stake out Asa’s house and let him know if Max spends the night.

Back at Asa’s, Max and Gabby are talking.  He says he’s not staying the night and she wonders why not.  He says Bo will be watching them like a hawk and he doesn’t believe that Bo doesn’t suspect them.  He tells her he’ll be at the Palace and that he’ll find Al and make sure he’s home with her.  She’s afraid to be in the house alone and once she is alone, she is rattling around the living room, looking at Asa’s photo and she is coming unglued.  She goes to pour herself a drink and she sees and apparition of Asa, screams and throws the drink in the air, drenching herself.

Todd, Blair and Starr

Blair presses Todd about whether or not he is proposing marriage and he stumbles around for a while.  Starr is dressed up like a nun for Halloween and she comes to the top of the stairs just as Todd puts out both fists and tells Blair to pick one.  She picks one and it’s a beautiful engagement ring.  She tells him that she’s not sure what to say…that she’s just lost her baby.  She wonders if he is asking her to marry him because he thinks he owes her something because he delivered the baby and it died.  He says she’s nuts.  Starr comes storming down the stairs telling Blair not to accept.  She yells at Todd for that lousy proposal and tells him he better give her mom a better one.  Blair is smirking and agrees with Starr.  Starr tells him he knows nothing about romance and “kissy stuff” and he admits that he doesn’t.  She makes him get down on his knee and after much protesting, he does it.  He gives Blair a silly proposal and Starr steps in telling him it’s worse than the one before.  Then he gets serious and tells Blair that nobody likes him, but when he’s with her he doesn’t care if anybody likes him.  He tells her that if she marries him she won’t be sorry, then he says that maybe sometimes she will be sorry, but he’ll never be sorry.  He tells her he loves her and asks her to marry him and she smiles…Starr finally likes that proposal.
