At Blair’s hearing

The judge is ready to make her decision.  Todd doesn’t want to get off the stand.  He wants to finish nailing Blair’s coffin shut.  The judge forces him to get off the stand.  The judge says that there is no disputing that Max was shot in the back and that there is more than sufficient evidence that Blair did it.  The judge says that the court has assessed Blair’s mental condition at the time of the shooting and feels that she was not responsible for her actions…She is mentally incompetent to stand trial by reason of insanity, so she is being sent to St. Ann’s Sanatorium for evaluation and determination of proper treatment.  Hank is furious and tries to tell the judge that Blair is fit to stand trial, but the judge dismisses his claim.

Just then, Max shows up in the courtroom.  Blair is crying.   She’s mad at Max for not showing up on time and asks where he’s been.  He tells her to ask Todd the reason he wasn’t there.  Todd just sits there looking like an innocent child and Max tells everyone that Starr locked him in the basement.  Blair is furious at Todd for using Starr that way and for what happened to her at the hearing.  She tells him that he thinks he’s won, but she won…and he lost.  Todd says, “Don’t you know by now…I always win?”

It’s time for Blair to go to St. Ann’s.  She’s terrified and wants Kelly to come with her because she’s afraid and thinks she’ll go crazy there….and her mom is there.  Kelly tells her to be strong and that she’ll be out soon.  Max promises to get her home soon also and she is taken away.  Todd is taunting her with all kinds of nasty remarks about being crazy and he is loving very minute of it.  Max tells Todd that the only good thing is that now Blair will have at least one normal child. Todd tells him that Starr is normal.  Max just looks at him, says it’s not over yet and that there will be payback for what he did, and walks out.  Hank chastises Todd for not testifying the way he was supposed to.

Sam and Todd are left alone in the courtroom.  Sam tells him he knows exactly what he did.  Todd looks confused.  Sam tells him that he knows that Todd did everything to get Blair sent to St. Ann’s because he knew it was better than prison and that eventually she would get out.  Sam said, “You didn’t come here to destroy Blair...you came here to save her.”  Sam knows he’s right.

Jen, Cris, Will

Jen and Cris are at Sam’s house.  Cris can see how upset Jen is and that she needs to talk and get it out.  He asks her what happened.   She is crying and tells him she can’t tell him….that she promised her mother she wouldn’t talk about it.  She acknowledges that it’s about Colin’s murder and Aunt Lanie.  Cris keeps trying to get her to talk.  He tells her they’re friends and she needs someone to talk to.  She is just about to tell him what’s going on when Will walks in.  He realizes what’s going on and gets very irate.  He tells Cris to get out and to get away from Jen.  Will and Cris start arguing and Will is very obviously over the top trying to keep Jen quiet.  Cris tells Will they were just talking and Will says that Jen can talk to him…she doesn’t need Cris.  Cris agrees to leave and tells Jen to come with him.  Will says she’s not going with him.  Jen is crying when the guys almost come to blows and Cris still wants her to leave with him.  She says she has to stay and talk to Will, so Cris decides it’s a waste of time staying there and leaves, telling Jen that the next time she needs someone, she shouldn’t come looking for him.

Will tries to talk to Jen and she tells him that Lindsay told her about Lanie killing their grandfather.  Will is confused but Jen says their mom was there and that Lanie confessed it to Bo.  She tells him that Lindsay went to North Carolina and made her promise not to talk about the murder.  Will thinks that’s a good idea.  Jen wants to talk to Will about Colin’s murder.  Will won’t let her talk.  He says that they agreed that he wouldn’t tell her what he knows and she wouldn’t tell him what she knows….they’re all safer that way…and if she needs to talk to someone, she should wait until their mom comes home.  Will tells her that the best way for them to protect each other is to keep quiet.

Jen tells Will she has to talk to someone.  She says that she knows something about Colin’s murder.  She says she saw something that night and she knows how Colin died.

Bo and Melanie

Bo and Melanie are talking at Melanie’s jail cell.  She asks him if he still loves her and tells him that she’s sure he must hate her.  He tells her that he could never hate her and that she deserves to know how he feels.  He tells her that he does love her, but he is having a hard time with her keeping secrets and feeling that she couldn’t talk to him.  She says she tried to tell him so many times, but she was afraid that she’d lose him.  She asks him what he would have done if she had told him about killing her father…would he have covered it up and risked his career and everything that’s important to him?  He says that he would have liked to have had the choice to work it out with her at the time…that they could have worked it out together.  She says she loved him too much to risk losing him and then asks, “Have I lost you?”  Bo tells her they shouldn’t talk about their future right now.  He tells her that he knows she didn’t kill Colin and his main objective right now is to find out what happened after she left Colin in the house that night.  He tells her that after that, they will sit down and talk about everything.  Bo leaves to go back upstairs to his office and Melanie takes off her engagement ring.

A bit later on, Antonio comes to Bo and has a small envelope that he says one of the guards downstairs wanted him to give to Bo.  Bo tells Antonio that he wants him to tell Cris to back off the RJ case…he’s afraid that Cris will get hurt.  When Bo is alone he opens the envelope and the ring falls out.

Nora and RJ

Nora is still behind the bar after finding RJ’s house keys and he comes out with the bottle of wine and finds her there.  She has to cover quickly when he asks what she’s doing and she says she’s looking to see if he still has those wine glasses that Hank gave him.  He does and pours them some wine.  He toasts to looking toward the future and forgetting the past.  She is still talking about losing her last chance to find out what happened to her when Colin died and RJ tells her he’s dead and she should move on.

Nora asks RJ what he’s been doing since she lost her memory and he tells her that he tried to “go straight” for a while, for a woman, and it didn’t work out…so now he’s bad again.   She asks him, “How bad are you?  Bad enough to hide Colin’s body in a crate in your bar?”   He tells her that crate in his bar was not the one with Colin in it.  Nora tells him she knows Lindsay was behind everything, including drugging her, and wonders where she’d get such a drug.  RJ sees where she’s going with this line of questioning and tells her that he is not involved with drugs and she should know that.  She tells him that he just told her he’s bad again and she knows he’s been hanging out with Lindsay lately.  He tells her that he inherited Lindsay from Dorian…that’s all.  RJ tells her that if he had known she was alive and in trouble, he would have wrestled with the devil to save her.

Nora comments on how many hours he works and asks him if he’s working late.  She wants time to go through his apartment.  He tells her he’ll be working late.  She leaves and goes to RJ’s apartment.  Wearing gloves, she starts to search the place and then realizes that if she were RJ, and she was hiding some kind of evidence, she’d hide it in plain sight.  She finds an envelope next to his stereo and it is full of cash…with a note on it that is not in RJ’s handwriting.

Antonio and Roseanne

At the police station, Roseanne overhears Antonio telling someone he’s going away.  She asks him what that’s about and he tells her that he’s been invited to NY to work with their police department gang unit…talking to gang members.  He tells her he’ll be gone a few weeks and she offers to cook him dinner before he leaves tomorrow.  He agrees to it.  He also says that he hopes to hear from Sophia because they were working on something together.  Roseanne asks what that could be and asks how Sophia is.  Antonio tells her that Sophia is doing great, that she’s up on her feet and getting better all the time and that he thinks she has information on RJ’s mole in the police department.  Roseanne is asking all kinds of questions and Antonio tells her that Sophia hasn’t told him anything yet, but she has told Kelly something.  Roseanne is worried.

Roseanne finds Kelly at the courthouse and pulls her aside and asks what Kelly is trying to do to her.  She wants to know what Sophia told her.  Kelly is mad and tells Roseanne that she doesn’t have to tell her anything…that she’ll self-destruct….but Kelly decides to tell her and says, “I’ll tell you Roseanne.  Sophia told me that you’re RJ’s mole in the police department.”  Roseanne tells her it’s all lies, but Kelly knows better.

Cris, RJ and Seth

Back at the bar, RJ tells Cris that there is a new guy there who is looking for a bartending position and he should go talk to him.  When the guy turns around, he and Cris recognize each other.  He is Seth Anderson, an old buddy of Cris’s from Angel Square.  They start to talk about what they’ve both been up to and Seth tells Cris that he heard Cris was hooked up with that rich, Buchanan girl and Cris tells him that he and Jess are a thing of the past.  Seth asks him who is making him smile these days and at first, Cris denies there’s a girl in his life, but Seth gets him to admit his involvement with Jen.  Cris says she’s got problems and he feels like he’s being pulled in all directions and Seth asks him why he bothers.  If she’s trouble, dump her.
