Asa’s Mansion

Max threatens to tell Bo about Asa’s hit on Ben. Gabrielle tells Max that she knows all about that – and that Asa was protecting Max. Max doesn’t think Asa can be a very good parent from a jail cell. I go, you go, Asa tells Max. Besides, everyone knows Asa wasn’t getting enough oxygen when he ordered that hit – he’ll walk. Max is sure that excuse will never fly in court. Bo will make him a deal, Asa says. Max will be hung out to dry.

Gabrielle asks to talk to Max alone. Asa leaves. Max doesn’t want to hear what Gabrielle has to say. He wants his son back. Gabrielle tells Max that he will push Al further away if he forces the issue. Gabrielle assures Max that the decision was solely Al’s. Max grabs Gabrielle and accuses her of poisoning his son against him. Al comes in and pulls Max away from his mother.

Gabrielle steps in and tries to get Al out of the room. Max isn’t worth it, she tells Al. Gabrielle leaves and Al warns Max to keep his hands off his mother. I’m your father, Max says. You’re just a guy I used to know, Al spits. I can tell you all about Asa, Max says. He tells Al that Asa uses people and he wants to help. Al doesn’t believe that he cares about them. Max goes to talk to Asa. Gabrielle tells Al not to let Max get to him.

Blair calls from the courthouse asking to talk to Max. Gabrielle says she doesn’t know where Max is and hangs up on Blair.

Wine Cellar

Gabrielle doesn’t want Al to be hurt by Max. He can handle Max, Asa says. Asa is sure they have Max right where they want him.

When Max walks into the cellar to confront Asa, the door swings shut behind him and someone locks him in…

Serenity Springs – Hot tub

Will, Cris and Jen are relaxing in the tub. Jen can’t relax with everything going on and gets up to leave; she is met by an admiring Al. Jess notices Al staring at Jen and encourages him to go for it. Al is afraid he doesn’t know how to approach Jen. Cris looks on as Al makes his move.

Cris watches jealously as Al chats with Jen. When Al asks her to hang out with him, she accepts until Cris steps in and insists they have plans together. Al takes a rain check.

Al thanks Jess for not mentioning about Cris and Jen and leaves. Will wants to know what Jess is up to. Jess plays innocent. Why would you encourage Al to ask Jen out – to help Al or get at Cris? Will wonders.  Why doesn’t Jess want Jen and Cris to be together? Will asks. Is she jealous enough to split them up? Jess is insulted by Will’s accusation and storms off.

Cris invites Jen to a concert in the park. He tells Jen it would bother him if she went out with someone else. She tells Cris she will go, but she must visit her aunt Lanie first. She asks Will to join her, but he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for them to go together.

Police Station – Jail Cell

Sam listens as Bo insists to Lanie that she may not have killed Colin. Lanie is sure her blow with the fireplace poker killed him. Did you move the body, bury it in the woods and then put it in a crate? Bo wonders. Of course not, Lanie states. Bo believes that someone may have come in after she left – Colin could have still been alive. That’s the killer, Bo maintains.

Sam interrupts them and insists on speaking to his client. Is she being charged? Sam wants to know. Lanie knows why she is being held, Bo assures Sam. Bo leaves so Sam can talk things over with his client. Sam tells Lanie to relax; he will take care of everything. Lanie tells him about killing her father. Sam worries that the fact that Colin knew her secret gives her a powerful motive. Sam tells Lanie to write down everything she remembers from that night. Lanie tells Sam that Lindsay will not rest until she is convicted. Sam tells her he will handle Lindsay and he leaves to attend Blair’s hearing.

Jen and Cris arrive and Jen asks to speak to her aunt. Cris leaves. Jen tells Lanie she knows Colin was sick and drove her to kill him. That’s no excuse, Lanie says. Jen wants to know what really happened. Lanie relays her story to Jen. Lanie says she ran out of the house after hitting Colin with the poker. You went back in, right? Jen questions. No, Lanie insists. Jen thinks something is not right. Jen is about to tell Lanie something when the guard interrupts them. Jen takes off and runs into Lindsay. What did that murderer say to you? Lindsay wants to know. Lanie didn’t kill Colin and you know it, Jen states and runs off…

Todd’s Penthouse

Starr is ecstatic over the prospect of a new sibling. Blair tries to send her upstairs so she can talk to Todd.  Todd says Starr will find out the truth soon, so why not now? Blair doesn’t want to expose Starr to what is going on. When Todd tries to tell Starr that the baby is Max’s, Blair interrupts and insists Max has nothing to do with her and daddy’s baby. Starr wants to know if the baby is a boy or a girl. It’s a surprise, Blair tells her. Starr goes upstairs. Nice performance, Todd sneers. Blair insists she told Starr the truth.

Todd is furious that Blair is continuing to lie to Starr. He is sure Blair is headed to Statesville – along with Max’s baby. Blair tells Todd she wants to spare Starr’s feelings. She’s not interested in Todd’s feelings. You can go to hell, Blair says and leaves Todd to stew.

Starr comes downstairs and is miffed that she didn’t get to say good-bye to the baby. Todd yells at Starr to quit talking about the baby. Is mommy going to jail? Starr wants to know. We won’t know anything until after the hearing, he tells her. Starr wants to go to the courthouse, but Todd tells her he will take care of everything and she should stay behind. Todd will make sure Blair gets what she deserves, he tells Starr cryptically.

The Courthouse

Lindsay reiterates to Hank that she is more than willing to testify at Lanie’s trial. She wants to see justice done, Lindsay insists. Hank is impressed and says if there is a case to be made against Lanie, he will make it. Lindsay asserts that if Hank doesn’t keep the pressure on, Bo will let his fiancé get away with murder. The DA’s office is not a lynch mob, Hank tells Lindsay. She insists Bo should be taken off the case. Bo will be objective, Hank maintains. Lindsay is adamant that Hank get justice in this case.

Bo is protecting Lanie, Lindsay insists. Bo overhears her and tells her if she has anything to say, say it to his face. Fine, Lindsay says, you are letting your fiancé get away with murder. Hank beats a hasty retreat. Bo tells Lindsay never to question his ethics again or she will be sorry. Lindsay is sure Lanie is guilty. We still have questions about Colin’s death, Bo insists. Maybe you have answers? Bo wonders. Lindsay asserts that all the evidence points to her sister. We don’t have all the evidence yet, Bo replies.

Lindsay accuses Bo of dragging his feet on the investigation. Bo says if she has a problem with the way he is handling the investigation, she is welcome to file a formal complaint. Lindsay wants to know when Lanie is going to be formally charged. Bo suggests Lindsay talk to Lanie’s attorney – Sam. Lindsay is astounded that Sam is defending Lanie. She takes off to see for herself.

Bo sees Cris and asks him if he has any more info about RJ. Cris doesn’t have anything to report. Keep an ear open, Bo says. He wants to know what RJ knows about Colin’s body ending up in a crate in RJ’s club. Cris doesn’t understand why Bo is interested, since Lanie confessed to the murder. There are still plenty of unanswered questions, Bo says.

Hank tells Blair and Kelly he believes he has enough evidence to get a conviction against Blair. Kelly is worried because Blair told Todd the truth about the baby. Todd didn’t believe me anyway, Blair says. As far as Blair is concerned, Todd doesn’t need to know the truth about her baby.

Sam enters the courtroom and demands to know where Max is – he is the only one who can get Blair off. Blair worriedly looks around the courtroom and spies Todd…

Line of the Day

Starr (discussing her new sibling): I hope it’s a boy. There’s two things I always wanted – a baby brother and a python
