Asa’s Mansion

Max happens upon Gabrielle’s room as she is reveling in her new status as mistress of Asa’s mansion. He remembers their steamy past together. Gabrielle tells Max she is happy in Asa’s bedroom. Max wants to talk about Al. Max says he and Al were close when he was raising him. Gabrielle counters that now Al hates Max. Gabrielle laments missing Al’s childhood while she was in prison. Max tells Gabrielle about teaching Al magic tricks and poker. Max thinks Al is conning him now by maintaining he wants to be a Buchanan.

Gabrielle assures Max she had more important things to do than badmouth him to Al. She was busy trying to make a living. Max swears he didn’t know how bad their lives were. Gabrielle asks Max to let Al go.

Downstairs, Asa is taunting Blair with the cover of the Sun. Asa tells her she is headed to Statesville for shooting Max. Blair is sure she will be staying in Asa’s mansion for a long time to come. Blair wants to know what game Asa is playing with Gabrielle.

Max is sure Asa turned Al against him. Asa denies it and kicks Max out. He warns Max not to disturb their honeymoon any more! Asa and Gabrielle pretend to be having a steamy romantic interlude. They are playing with Max’s head. Gabrielle is enjoying messing with Max. It’s only the beginning, Asa says.

Max rants to Blair about Gabrielle. He vows to get Al back and Blair tells Max about Todd’s threats to take Starr. She asks for Max’s help. He promises to get her off for the shooting. Todd is no match for us, Max says. He wants Blair to concentrate on the future. Max is sure he will win this time.

When Max finds Asa and Gabrielle in the living room later, he demands that Asa undo the adoption or he will send Asa to prison…

Sam’s House

Jen is resting on the couch when Will comes in. He doesn’t think it is a good idea for her to be staying alone. Sam comes out of the bedroom and assures Will his sister is not alone. Will tells Sam about Lanie’s confession. Jen begs Sam to help Lanie and tells him that Lanie couldn’t have done it. Colin was a psycho, Sam says. If Lanie killed him, it was self-defense.

Outside Sam’s House

Lindsay catches up with Nora and tells her about Lanie’s confession. Nora doesn’t believe it. She is sure Lindsay is lying – or at least omitting pertinent details. Nora marches into Sam’s house. What does Sam think of Lanie’s confession? Lindsay smirks that “little Miss Perfect” was sure she killed him. Sam tells Lindsay to back off. Will and Jen leave to meet Jess and Cris. Nora still doesn’t believe it was Lanie.

Lindsay tells Sam that Lanie also confessed to killing their father. Lanie injected her father with a lethal dose of morphine after getting him to change his will. Nora doesn’t believe it. You don’t have to, she’s in jail, Lindsay snaps. Sam is touched by Lindsay’s “concern” for her sister. Lindsay reminds Sam what Lanie has put their children through by failing to come forward. Lindsay wants to know why Sam would take Lanie’s side. The hair points to her guilt, Lindsay maintains. Why would Sam defend her? Lindsay wonders. Sam heads down to the police station to get the whole story.

Nora tells Lindsay she will wait for the truth and assures Lindsay she still intends to get revenge for what was done to her. Nora is sure there is more to the story and assures Lindsay she will find out what it is. Nora leaves and Lindsay calls Hank and reminds him that she intends to testify against Lanie.

Police Station – Jail Cell

Lanie is behind bars remembering the night she had the fight with Colin and rapped him in the head with the fireplace poker. Bo tells Lanie he isn’t going to charge her. Lanie insists their relationship is ruined by what she did.

Police Station

Hank hounds Bo to arrest Lanie – after all, she confessed! Bo is hesitant. Hank threatens to remove him from the case. Bo makes excuses for Lanie’s behavior. He is convinced that RJ is involved since he had the body. Hank says he would arrest RJ if he had evidence. He thinks Bo has to stop letting his personal feelings get in the way of investigating Colin’s case. Bo says he has a gut feeling and Hank agrees to give him more time. There is more than one murder to deal with, Hank reminds Bo. Bo wants to take it one step at a time.

Sam goes to meet with Lanie and overhears Bo saying that he believes that the real killer is still at large.

Todd’s Penthouse

Todd and Starr enter and Starr wants to know why all of her things from mommy’s house are suddenly at daddy’s house. She demands to know what’s up. Todd tells her she will be staying with him permanently. Starr thinks they will be living in the penthouse as a family. Todd breaks the news to her that Blair will not be living with them. Starr insists she wants Blair to live with them.  She demands that Todd fix it so Blair won’t have to go to jail. Starr is angry with both of her parents and stomps up the stairs. Blair enters and tells Todd he will not ruin her life. You ruined your life by getting pregnant, Todd spits. Starr overhears and congratulates her dad for giving her a baby brother…

The Break Bar

Jessica is waiting for Will and chats with Cris about Lanie’s shocking confession. Al joins them and tells Jessica he is now Al Buchanan. Jessica is amused. How in the world did that happen? Al breaks the news about Asa’s latest wife. His mother deserves the happiness, Al maintains. Al assumes Jess and Cris are still a couple. Jess tells him she and Cris are just friends.

Jess still can’t believe Asa is Al’s stepdad. Al insists that Asa is his real dad. Al tells Jess he is ecstatic to have been adopted by Asa. Jess warns Al to be careful around her grandfather. Jess introduces him to Will and Jen. Al thinks Jen is cute. When Jess tells him that Jen is not spoken for, as far as she knows, Al asks her to hook him up with Jen. Cris asks Jen if she is OK. I am now that my dad will fix everything, Jen says.

Line of the Day:

Asa to Blair, who is taunting him about Gabrielle: You’re a tramp. I’m not the one on my way to prison and I’m not the one moving in with a low life no account lying con artist who you shot in the back.
