At the Palace

Blair walks into the restaurant with a note that she received from someone to meet her there.  The note says, “I can help you.  Meet me at the Palace.”  The note is in letters cut out from a magazine.  Blair sees Todd sitting at a table with the Sun spread out in front of his face, showing the headline with Blair looking like a crazed maniac on the front page.  As she walks over to Todd, people are laughing at her.  Blair is furious and asks Todd why he’s doing this to her.  She reminds him that he promised not to let Starr see him do these kinds of things.  Todd doesn’t care.  He’s having too much fun making a fool out of Blair.  She is furious and takes the paper from him and starts ripping it up and throwing the pieces at him.  Of course, the photographers from the paper are there, capturing this all on film as Blair carries on.

Max has received a message from Asa telling him to meet him at the Palace as well.  Asa left photos of all of Max’s children in his desk for Max to find.  Max shows up at the Palace, just as Blair is carrying on at Todd’s table and he tries to calm her down, telling her that Todd is not worth it.  The manager comes up to them at that moment and tells them to leave, that he won’t accept that behavior in his restaurant.  Max informs him that he’s waiting for Asa and the guy shuts up. Max gets Blair to sit at another table with him and they start talking decently with each other.  He asks how she’s feeling and if she’s seen a doctor yet.  She tells him that she has made an appointment and that she feels fine, the same way she felt with her last pregnancy.  He says that’s good.  She thinks she feels the baby kicking, but that maybe she’s imagining it.  She calls the baby “him” and Max asks if she thinks it’s a boy.  She says she really does care which it is, but Starr wants a baby brother.  She asks Max if he wants to know what it is and he says that potluck is ok with him.  She is surprised that he’s being so nice and he says that he knows he hasn’t been a good father to his other kids and that this is his last chance to be a good dad…that it’s a second chance.  Blair says, “I wish I had one of those.”  She tells him that she’s very upset about having her baby in prison.  Max shocks Blair by telling her that he has reconsidered and that’s not going to happen.  She is speechless and in shock and thinks he’s trying to con her.  He tells her that even though they’ll never be the way they used to be, he has decided that he doesn’t want her to be in prison when she has his baby and that he’s going to tell the authorities that he saw a man when he got shot and that it couldn’t have been Blair that shot him.

Just then the art director from The Sun comes into the restaurant and walks over to Todd.  Blair tells Max who he is and that he’s probably bring Todd the next front page.  Todd holds it up for Blair and it’s a picture of Blair in a prison jumpsuit and the headline reads “Jail Baby.”  Max tells her that Todd is going to eat his headlines when they get through with him.  Blair is furious and goes over to Todd and tells him to laugh all he wants.  She grabs the board with the photo and takes a marker and changes it from “Jail Baby” to “Hail Baby.”  Todd doesn’t know what’s going on and Blair tells him that Max is going to say the person who shot him was a man and that she is free.  Todd is speechless and Blair dances out of the restaurant singing that she’s free.

Asa and Alex

Asa has gotten a suite of rooms at the Palace and Alex is in one room, dressing up in one of the many new outfits Asa has sent over from Logan’s.  Asa comes into her room and she thinks he’s taking her out.  She can’t wait for the whole town to see she’s back and throw it in their faces that she’s marrying Asa again.  He tells her that she’s not going anywhere.  She doesn’t understand.  She wants to go out and let everyone who thought they’d seen the last of her see that she’s back.  Asa tells her that he wants her to rest up for the wedding later on.  The phone rings and the maitre d’ tells Alex to tell Asa that Max is waiting for him.  Alex asks Asa why he’s meeting Max on their wedding day, when Max despises her.  Asa says, “Honey, everybody in town despises you.”  He says, “Of course Max hates you.  You tried to kill his sister, Andy.”  Alex thinks about everyone hating her and she says, “Asa, you’re exaggerating.”  Just then, Renee walks into the room, wondering why Asa reserved the rooms at the hotel.  She says, “No he’s not.” She is shocked to see Alex and Alex proceeds to tell her that she’s marrying Asa tonight.   Renee is shocked and just stares at Asa.

Asa tells Alex to go in the next room and try on the wedding dress he had sent over and then he and Renee are alone.  She asks him if the rest of his brain is gone and asks why he’s marrying Alex.  She asks him how he could marry her after she robbed him of his money and ran away with his worst enemy and Asa says, “The job was open and she still has all the right curves.”  Renee is disgusted with him and says that they deserve each other.  She tells him that he and Alex are both crazy, that Alex is an assassin, and he is “the first three letters of that word.”  Asa tells her to remember that he dumped her and Renee says, “Oh no Asa, I dumped you.  I divorced you.”  She storms out and Asa is just left thinking.

Alex comes back in the room and tells him the wedding dress is nice but way too “sweet” for her…and that she can’t wear the veil….veils are for people who “aren’t as experienced” as she is.

Renee goes down to the restaurant and runs into Max.  She tells him that Alex is back in town and she’s going to marry Asa.

At Lindsay’s Gallery

Everyone is standing around waiting to hear about the hair sample results.  Jenn asks who the match is and Melanie says, “It’s me, isn’t it?”  Bo says it is and Melanie appears very nervous and upset.  RJ walks in and he’s in his glory because not only was the finger pointed away from him, but it was pointed at Bo’s fiancé.  He is happy to be there to see it all happen and for Bo to suffer.  Hank tells him to shut up and he won’t.  Lindsay tells Jenn to go call Sam again and RJ keeps taunting Bo.  Bo gets upset and says that all they did was find a match to the hair samples under Colin’s fingernails.  That doesn’t mean they’ve found the killer.  RJ says, “No, of course not, it’s me, right Bo?”  Bo tells him that nothing is settled here and that there’s no way that Melanie could have moved that box that Colin was found in.  Melanie steps forward and says, “Stop it Bo, stop protecting me.”  She runs to Lindsay’s bedroom and Bo follows her.  Lindsay tries to talk to her, but Bo kicks her out.  Melanie is very upset and tells Bo that it’s been torture keeping this from him for all these weeks.  He tells her that she shouldn’t say anything to him.  He only wants to talk about them, not about Colin.  She says that if she doesn’t tell him what’s on her mind now, she’ll explode and he just tells her that they’re going to talk about “them.”  He tries to comfort her and Lindsay walks in again to say that Sam hasn’t been reached yet.  Bo kicks her out again.

Out in the gallery, Jess asks Will if he’s been covering up for Lanie…he says that he hasn’t…that Lanie couldn’t have killed Colin.  She asked him then who is he covering for and he won’t tell her anything.   He says he’s sorry that things are the way they are between them, but that’s they way it has to be.  Jenn is talking to Cris and she doesn’t believe that Lanie did it, either.   Lindsay comes over and of course, she’s happy to believe that Lanie did it.  Jenn tells her there’s no way Lanie killed Colin and Lindsay starts going on about how Lanie and Colin had a very tense relationship and there’s a lot they don’t know.  Lindsay is the only one who can believe it.

Hank is talking to RJ and telling him to keep quiet and stop ranting.   RJ says that Hank shouldn’t worry about Bo.  Bo has Hank and he’s like a brother to him….something that he would know nothing about.

Bo and Lanie come out of the bedroom and Bo tells everyone that Dr. McIver is coming down to the station for questioning.  RJ goes on about justice and wants Lanie to admit she did it.  Lanie comes forward and says, “OK, it was me.  I killed Colin.”  Everyone is left standing there in shock.

Sam, Nora & Matthew

Sam, Nora and Matthew are at Nora’s house, sitting on the floor in the living room playing with Matthew’s fire truck.  They are having some quality family time.  Matthew goes upstairs to get ready for bed and Nora and Sam talk about Colin.  She says that he was her last chance to get her memories back.  Sam tells her he can help her get her memories back.  He can tell her about the two of them when they were together.  He tells her about the first time he saw her again in Llanview.  He said she had such a fire in her eyes and so much life and energy.  He said she had the most amazing eyes, filled with the soul of an amazing woman.  Nora just listens to him and is very touched by his words.  Nora asks him what she is to him.  He says, “You are the one and only Nora that I have cared about all these years, even the ones you don’t remember.”  He asks her how she feels about him.  She says he is her good and trusted friend.  She acknowledges that all the rest of those feelings are inside her, but that she can’t touch them yet.  She just doesn’t feel them yet.  He’s glad to hear that, but she says she knows he wants more.  Sam says he’s happy to be with her this way for now, that he’s happy just to have her in his life.  She tells him what an incredibly sweet man he is and that she wishes she were whole.  He tells her that she is whole.  She just can’t remember some things about her life, but to everyone who knows her, she is whole.

Matthew comes back downstairs and Sam reads him a book while he falls asleep on the couch next to Nora.  Sam says he’d better go and he kisses Matthew.  Nora tells him that she may not remember all the old memories, but she’s glad they’re making some new ones.  Sam leaves and stands outside putting on his coats, looking at least a little satisfied that they are spending time together.
